1	My response to those who try and use “men and women are different” when a boy is SA’d. That’s the thing. They entirely ignore it, and when they don’t ignore it if they don’t know the victim is a girl they’ll make jokes about it and not take it seriously, but if they do know it’s a girl depending on the age of the girl and just how attractive the woman is (just like a woman and a boy) it’s 50/50 on their reaction.	/r/MensRights	07/09/25 08:19 PM

They also tend to forget teenage girls have crushes and fantasies regarding older men too, like Chris brown for example, or some movie actor. Some girls when I was in middle school talked about Dwayne Wayde Johnson a whole lot. But when you bring this up they will say “men and women are different.” And they won’t say “lucky kid”, just from the perspective of when they were a 14 year old boy, they’ll say this about boys as young as 10 years old. And then when you ask them what if the genders were reversed, they will say, “it’s not the same”, or “it’s different,” but then how isn’t it the same? 1	That ain’t what “BOYS WILL BE BOYS” means - never has; never will! I honestly think that "boys will be boys" is kind of useless. As you said it differs boys/ behavior from girls, but that's just in a way saying that a certain behavior is ascribed to boys vs girls. No different than how it is said that violent behavior is what boys do, whereas girls are not violent. Being rough isn't exclusive to boys, just like being soft and quiet isn't just for boys.
