Biologically there is also enormous intra-gender variability, in fact, that is largely what determines who the winner is. One can use statistics, but ultimately segregation is arbitrary. This is especially notorious in these cases given the enormous media interest, but this lack of privacy is also unfair in all other cases. Moreover, even if there is conviction the price is paid with imprisonment, and the main objective (supposedly) is to rehabilitate and integrate into society. I think it's an understandable feeling, people who have been raped often relate something similar (I'm not trying to compare the scale of the trauma). Many ukrainian men fled a few weeks earlier and sought asylum in european countries to escape military conscription in the face of the impending war, in my country they were rejected and I don't know of any cases where they were accepted.
