2	An Alabama court ruled that a woman who hocked her $32,000 engagement ring for $10,000 must compensate her ex-fiance. She lied and said she threw the ring into river & that it was a gift & he didn't really propose when he was on his knee. Probably varies somewhat by state but I believe in most places it's considered her property after he gives it to her. 39	Imagine trying to convince a court you're NOT a domestic abuser... by flying at the judge like a wild animal. I was just talking about this at work. In many situations it's more or less a coin toss as to whether you get dragged to jail or to a hospital. Sometimes medical care is appropriate such as in cases of psychosis or mania, but for personality disorder there's not that can be done in terms of medical treatment, especially in emergency rooms.
