Hell yes they should. They work up to near childbirth, then be a stay at home mom, no nanny or daycare, until the child starts school. Once the kids are in K-12 she works part-time, preferably during school hours, until they are old enough to be left alone. At that point she returns to a fulltime job. This worked great for my family but I married (40+ years now) a real woman and not a THOT. If my marriage ever ends then it's MGTOW 100% until the end.

Depend on the circumstances, but 1st choice: on a mountain overlooking a beautiful lush meadow 2nd: in a car in the garage with the garage door closed, car running and Annie Lennox, into the west, on the cd player.
