Did you just completely ignore what I said? Are you not reading the source at all? read the fuckin thing, it specifically says 6% of men are obese, and 12% of women. 12 is twice the amount of 6. Literally look at figure 3, or just control + F and type "severe" and find the word. It's not that hard.

Just gonna drop this copy/paste that I made a while ago. There's lots more I could add today, but this is enough for now. *Society is more biased towards women. Women display an ingroup bias towards other women, and men also display an outgroup bias towards women. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women-are-wonderful_effect) Men are much less likely to attend, or graduate from college than women, at a discrepancy similar to when title IX was implemented for women. Despite this, there is a far great…

50% of marriages end in divorce, 80% initiated by women And the largest reason for that is... money!!! You're not doing woman many favors by citing that. I swear, some of you just live your entire lives based off of vibes.

Bro scroll down and read the link, I literally told you figure 3. They got a nice ass graph for you with the ages and everything, 6% and 12%. Did you literally just ignore what I said or something?

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db508.htm Women aged 20-39 are 5% more likely to be obese than men, and 2x as likely to be severely obese as men. Under figure 3.

I didn't say obese, I said severely obese. I specifically said severely obese, and separated out a second clause for normal obesity to show I was differentiating between the two (Which by the way, as your numbers mentioned, is still more prevalent in women). https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db508.htm And no, she wasn't attractive when she was obese. I'm sorry, but that's just not attractive, and there's a reason everyone referred to her as the ugly Kardashian. I can't point to a man …

"That evidence won't stop me because I can't read!" What a ridiculous post. I know many married woman who are extremely happy, I guess my own experience cancels out yours since only personal anecdotes matter and not data, right?

Severely obese is not the same as overweight. I don't think most people mind a little bit of chubbiness, but good lord there's a point where it's too much.

Women from the ages of 19-39 are 2x as likely to be severely obese compared to men, and are still more obese on average. Time to look in the mirror, you guys are just the same as us guys, we just don't lie to ourselves.

Exactly. It amazes me to see the mindset of some here in response to me have been "Who cares? Maybe humans need to die out." Or "Who cares? My family will live in a western refugee camp". Utter insanity.

I'm not sure, and no, I'm not advocating for welfare girlfriends or anything like that. Obviously certain things like the economy are relevant, but I think it's probably something that will have to be a cultural shift in people. People seem more focused on blind hedonism, and quick dopamine fixes instead of something meaningful and fulfilling. The problem is that ends up being a very hollow, unsatisfying, unfulfilling life, and I'm afraid people are going to realize this only when it's too late.…

Beautiful post, sounds like you too have a great relationship. Made me a little teary eyed because I'm not sure I have very good chances of finding that these days. That's my entire point, it just feels like people are getting more and more self-serving and hedonistic with little thought about the other person in their life. If I am blessed enough to find something like that, I'm afraid that this trend of purely superficial relationships and standards are going to result in other people never fi…

No it is not. I'm not sure why people keep saying this about people in the medieval times, but people married for the same reasons we do today as they did in medieval times. Partially economic, but most do/did not get married to someone that they did not also love.

Why would they not? We should not equate happiness with fulfillment. The greatest things in life are often some of the hardest things you can do. Go ask the vast majority of parents if being a parent is difficult. Almost all of them will say yes. Then, go ask them if they regret it. Almost all of them will say no.

Yes actually, this was the study that I was talking about. Paul Dolan who this article cites was misreading the statistics, and has since retracted his statement. There was a category in the study that said "Spouse absent", and he took this to mean that they asked the question of whether or not they're happy once when both spouses were present, and once when the spouses were alone, and the "spouse absent" category had lower rates of happiness. However, this was not what that category meant. What…

This whole subreddit is riddled with posts of guys constantly making assumptions based on social media and complain about this stuff. So the majority of your points dont work if you actually use it for the rest of the posts. I'm sure there's a lot of people who do this on every side, I'm not disagreeing. I don't even think anecdotes are bad all the time, but they should also reflect what the statistics show if we're going to use them as evidence of an average experience. A good guy is someone th…

There is a big portion of men that arent even wiping their asses after shitting because they think its gay. This is exactly the problem I have with so much people today. No, men aren't just serial non ass-wipers. Statistics show otherwise single, child-free women are actually the happiest group compared to married women. I am quite sure that statistic was literally based off of a guy misinterpreting what the statistic said, and that it's actually married women that are happiest.

I never said that the person with a higher salary is the one in charge in an equal relationship I said that a captain having the highest salary is proof that he's ranked higher than anyone else I mean you can see why these two statements are contradictory, right? This really just seems like you're trying to shift goalposts to suit your argument. If the man makes a higher salary than the woman, she still has "financial dependence" on him, at least to some extent. They are not equal providers, one…

Why can't we solve them? We can, by having a higher birth rate. I would rather see my family slowly dieing out in a refuge for "western civilizations", than to have them live through having 5 children each. First of all, no one advocated that they have to have 5 children each. Second, that is immensely sad that you'd rather them die out living a hollow life in suffering than to create something new and to build a better future for the rest of humanity.

Obviously they shop more if they're working less, because they have the time to do it. Men are the primary breadwinners in 55% of relationships, and even in "egalitarian" relationships, the man still tends to make more money and work longer hours than the woman. They're just sharing their money with each other because it makes sense to do so when you have a family, and it makes sense for the woman who is at home more often to do the shopping because, well, she's not at work. Men are the ones giv…

Yeah maybe somewhere there or in between 2-3 if I had to guess. Whatever the rate is that we don't have far more old people than young people while still being able to care for children is overall what I would want.

I'm just not sure how this equates to a low birth rate being good. It seems like the actual conclusion is that you should not have an extremely high birth rate, but a low birth rate is also very bad, and a steady one that can allow for people to still properly care for their children without getting overburdened is ideal. I don't think I can point to a specific stage, but I'm sure something along the lines of what I mentioned is ideal.

Why is it that whenever you guys speak about women doing more housework you absolutely fail to mention that men still work more outside the home? Feminism by definition is the equality of men and women… No it is not. How many attempts do you see from feminists to equalize the grading bias against men in schools, advocate for more male-specific scholarships in college, advocate for more men in the HEAL's fields, to change the definition of rape to accomodate men that are raped by women, to establish more domestic violence shelters for men, and so on? Dude is it seriously that hard for you to condemn the louder, more radical voices from feminism? It really isn't that hard for me to say that people like Tate are morons, and that they're actively making things worse and have caused some men to behave more transactionally in relationships (And outright disdain for men in many situations). Is it seriously hard for you to do this, or do you just think that feminists have never done something like this before to men? Take some accountability for on…

Feminism isn't the equivalent of "providing food", that is an insane analogy to make. It's led to discrimination against men in the education system in the way that men are graded, they're punished longer for the same offense, and receive far less sex-specific scholarships despite the large gap in college enrollment between men and women (We gave women title IX when the same disparity existed, by the way). It's led to far worse mental health care for men. It is mandatory in many of the classes t…

For real. It would be nice to see these people actually call out those feminists that give them a bad name, but I can guarantee (As you said) they're just using that to weasel their way out of taking accountability. It really isn't hard for me to say Tate and those similar are toxic and destructive towards men, and it's not that hard for me to call out men who are mole people in their basements doing nothing yelling in the internet. I mean I certainly have problems with a low birthrate. Is this really that hard for you to see? Can you not perceive the problems of a society that has more old people than it does young? That means much later retirement ages because we need more in the workforce because there's not enough young people to be able to carry the load or else we have scarcity, hospitals that are severely understaffed and overburdened because there's a ton of old people and not enough newer young people to care for t…

Your initial concern was that you don't trust men to be good househusbands because you've had negative experiences with people in your life that had a similar situation happen and they did not fulfill their end of the bargain. Your current concern is that I'm misinterpreting your words, and that you're saying that you personally mistrusting men to be househusbands does not mean that it's a fact of life that men can't be househusbands. You're not. You're literally just saying "This isn't one inch, it's 2.5cm!". Again, my entire point is that if you say you don't trust men to be a househusband, you're saying that men can't be trusted to be househusbands. I do not know why this is so hard to understand. If I said "I don't trust a woman to be president", that would be the same as me saying "women can't be trusted to be president". Nothing I said was about "traditional relationships." My entire post is specifically about working a job. Something that is frequently portrayed as awful when women do it, but heroic and fulfilling when men do it. Men "keep society running" after all. My post is specifically about isolating a discussion around this concept. About why these differences would make sense, and why being beholden to the person who is beholden to the "corporate overlord" is supposed to be the better position. The enti…

Because you literally just told me like three comments ago? Notice how you worded it like that? As you said, marriage rates are decreasing and people aren't getting into long term relationships as much. This is what I was saying in the first paragraph as well. Marriage might be getting less transactional, but it doesn't seem like normal relationships are (If people are getting into them at all).

What I expect will happen is people will end up in more and more shallow (transactional) relationships, and people will grow to resent the opposite gender more and more. People may get into relationships, but it's going to be for the entirely wrong reasons and they're going to end up crashing and burning. The actual "mechanics of the game" is to find a person that shares similar values/interests/goals as you do and marry that person; not to behave transactionally yourself. That's just cutting of…

What are you talking about? I'm just saying that you hold the belief in your mind that men cannot be trusted to be homemakers, I didn't say it "was physically impossible for them to do so just because you said so". I am saying that you are holding a cognitive bias in your mind due to anecdotal experiences and it's clouding your judgment of the average person and their intentions/motives/work ethic. If a man said "A woman cannot be trusted to be the breadwinner", I would say the exact same thing.

I wouldn't necessarily say I resent it in the same way I wouldn't say I resent having to do chores every day. It's just a fact of life that I need to do. I don't think most people are fortunate enough to find both a job they absolutely love, that also pays the money they need though. It's not the job itself that I find empowering, but as you mentioned, the job is what enables me to provide for those that I care about. In a similar vein, a woman being a homemaker may also give a similar feeling o…

What are you even talking about? This is just a huge misunderstanding of statistics. Young childless women DO outearn young childless men already. It's only when they have children that this dynamic changes, because the woman stays home to support the children, and the man begins taking on more hours, higher stress jobs, etc so he can get more pay to provide. Obviously they're not going to do as much house work or childcare when he's working.

You literally brought up having less salary as a reason for people being less equal. This is actually insane how you're just willfully changing what you said to suit your argument. They are just 2 adults without predefined roles. They are both providers, they both take care of the house and the children. You literally just gave them predefined roles in the sentence right after. People can be unequal in the actions and the things that they do while still having equal value as human beings. I mean you can seriously get extremely granular with this. Would you say a trad relationship is about equality? In a sense, it's equal. Not in the sense that two people are doing the exact same things in the exact same proportion, but in the sense that they're both putting all of their effort into the relationship and the family. Woman are responsible for about 70-80% of household spending. Men may earn the money, but women are the ones who spend it. Not only that, they also get half of the money in a divorce anyways, so it's not like they're forced or something.

Why did you solely focus on him saying "tall" instead of "richer" and "protective", which are far more important points? If wanting your wife to do all the chores makes her a "bangmaid" then wanting your man to provide all the money makes him a slave, which I would hope you agree is also dehumanizing.

I mean I'm sure there's a degree as you mentioned, and there's always individual situations that we can find where women are okay with this happening, but I'm speaking on average. It's also not exactly common that someone gets decapitated on the job. I didn't say that there weren't any poor guys in relationships. I said the reason men tend to take higher stress and more dangerous jobs is because they need more money to provide for their families, and women tend to want guys that make at least the same, and usually more, money than them. Imagine a guy that's making 80-90k/year in a hard working job asks his wife if he can take a lower stress job that makes 30-40k a year. This isn't something that's going to fly in many relationships.

Ask the men who work dangerous jobs why they do it. I can almost guarantee they'll answer "Higher pay" each time. And when you ask why they desire higher pay instead of a lower paying job that's less dangerous, they'll probably answer "Gotta keep a roof over my family's head and food on the table". They work higher stress jobs and more dangerous jobs because it's a necessity to provide for our families.

How many women want a stay at home guy? Not sure why you're acting as if this is something that men even have an option with. Most women will not date a man unless he makes the same or more money than him, and usually it's more. We even see this sentiment consistently on this sub. It's not that men actively disdain being a stay at home parent (Of course, many don't want to do that), it's that it's not even on their radar as an option because they know the odds of that happening are extremely sli…

Unfortunately, that's not something that I'm able to do given that I have to keep a roof over my head and provide for my family. I just vote for the people who don't actively hate men. Seems to be quite effective and has made a lot of noise for us.

Because women are the ones who go. And they probably go more because it's more tailored towards women. I understand that this was something built up in the past where women primarily went to therapy, but we live in a completely different time and it's time that we start exploring more means of therapy for men. I'm not sure why we're treating men today as if they're the same as they were in the 50s or something. Clearly men need a better form of therapy today, because what exists currently isn't …

It's probably because therapy is tailored primarily towards women and not men. About 70% of psychologists are women, for instance. When women suggest that men go to therapy, it probably gets laughed at because it's not as effective for men, and it can be frustrating to see women treat men as if they're just broken women, and that if they just did all the things that women do they'd be fine. Men and women are different, and need different things. Men tend to need more instrumental support, for in…

It depends on the degree, of course. Naturally, I think it's worse if someone is raped/trafficked than if someone is just lonely (Though I don't believe there's a need for comparison - there's a world where we seek to eliminate both), but if you're just saying a 50-60 year old woman is going to shout at me that she likes my ass, or I randomly get my ass grabbed (Yes, these have all happened), then I'd take that than being lonely. I'm a grown adult, it's not the end of the world to me if these th…

Not that this always happens, but this is absolutely common enough to get people to stop doing it, and I wish more women were willing to call out this type of behavior. It's possible that I'm biased, but nearly every women that I know that isn't 40+ years old has told me they've either manipulated someone for free drinks with no intention of actually interacting with them, or completely yelling at a person that comes up to them for just saying hello. Most DV situations are reciprocal meaning both parties abuse each other, but in nonreciprocal situations where there was only one abuser, the woman was the perpetrator 70% of the time. Medically necessary abortions hapoen 80% of the time. No they do not. I am not sure where people come up with this, but ~95% of abortions are elective, and the rest are cases of rape, incest, and medical necessity.

I think this is where the primary disconnect is. It's not that many of these men are just assholes that need to work on their personality (Naturally, there are people like this, not saying these people don't exist). It's more that there's literally 0 chance of contact at all, or at least 0 chance of even demonstrating that you are kind with a decent personality. On a dating app? Most men are instantly swiped left, there's no chance to look at their personality unless you consider someone's bio a…

How does one "practice being kind" in your view? I'm asking because it seems like you have this idea that it's something you need to work on like going to the gym, and that you have to set aside time to do it or something. For me, I've become kinder and it really hasn't been something I've needed to set aside. For one, you can begin to think about things you're grateful about. I'm not a blue piller or anything, but I can answer the 80/20 thing. It's literally just a numbers game. There's actually a similar ratio of men to women on the dating apps, so of course when women only make up 20% of the dating apps, they're more likely to get with the top 20% of guys since they're their only options. 24 hours a day is a LOT of time. I'm not even really sure what "effort" you need to put into being kind anyways, and making improvements in your life tends to snowball the same way bad decisions snowball in the opposite direction. I don't think anyone should feel obligated to buy anyone drinks at all, nor should it be expected. Either you're attracted to the person for who they are, or you're not. If the man cheats and he wanted a stay at home wife? You're at fault, and you broke the contract of marriage. I've often found things like "Drop 20 lbs, get a better haircut, buy clothes that fit you, shave your neckbeard, use some lotion" etc are much easier to follow and a lot easier to quantify than just "be nice to people". Then what does "equality" mean? By what standard are you comparing women's rights to? What are they supposed to be equal too?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 04:48 PM

And if women have 12 rights and men have 10, what should feminists be doing to ensure equality between men and women?

I do agree that the reason is generally financial, as you said, men would usually end up being a principal than a teacher. The problem lies in the other part you mentioned, and I'm not sure there is any solution to this in the near future. Men choose their jobs based on the pay it makes. Why? It's because about 70% of society says it's very important for a man to be a provider, whereas about 30% of society says it's important for women to be a provider. This to me is one of the most unacknowledg…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 04:22 PM

I didn't say it was a "woman thing". I am saying that it's not something that works as well for men as it does women. For sure, sometimes (And for SOME GUYS) that might be what they need, but we tend to favor more instrumental support. This is saying nothing about how you just flat out ignored the bias against men and boys in therapy.

Anyone else that sees this seriously needs to acknowledge that this guy did not read any of his articles, or just lacks reading comprehension or something. The one about Sweden was the worst offender where it literally just proves my point and says nothing in support of his. It literally just talks about how men are falling behind in education compared to women, nothing about colleges being "biased towards men" as he insinuates. It's literally the complete opposite. Do you know where the attitude that men can't be raped comes from? The attitude that thinks a young man exploited or coerced into sex is actually lucky comes from? And what philosophy/movement points it out and pushed back against it? Actually yes, I do know where it comes from. It comes from feminist Mary P. Koss, a very influential public figure who has influenced laws and policies, and is one of the most cited sources in feminist literature. She was the one responsible for rape being defined …

I'm literally using your definition. If feminism means equality to women, and women being equal to men means having the same rights/etc as men, if women then receive MORE rights/privileges/etc than men then they by definition are not equal, and if feminism means women and men are equal (As you have defined it), then feminism should support men's rights so that they can be equal. It's a really simple logic trail.

Did you literally just ignore everything that I said? If you are equal to men, then that means you have the same rights/privileges/responsibilities/etc as men. Do you disagree?

From my experience, people only ever bring up the "personal choice/personal responsibility" argument when they want to avoid discussing the societal effects of the issue at hand. For real man. We've heard feminists for so long complain about how "Society pressures them in to traditional gender roles that they don't want and that needs to change", but the second things start going into their favor they all of a sudden completely change and act as if it doesn't matter. Feminism is for equality for women Clues in the name. No idea why you find that difficult to understand No, the clue is literally in your first sentence in the word "equal". If you are for equality for women, then you would by the literal definition be for equality for men, because if women are equal to men, it means they have no more and no less rights than men. If women have MORE rights than men, then they are not equal by definition, and so by the nature of your sentence you are not equal to …

Women tell guys to go to therapy because therapy works for women and then they'll assume it works for men. We're different, we're not broken women and we don't benefit from the same things you guys do. To be clear, I think there are certain types of therapists that are absolutely beneficial to men, but there is an extreme lack of care for men in therapy. I mean this is anything in life. Okay first and foremost, men do not have bodily autonomy after all. If a guy gets raped, there is no "abortion access" at all whereas nearly every (Actually it might be every single state) has provisions for rape/incest. Men are still on the hook for child support, this actually applies to young boys too. I also don’t care much about people’s internal thought behind their actions. This to me is a mistake. While you can have a similar action, it's important to understand the person's internal thoughts because their thoughts are what dictates their actions. If you change their internal thoughts, you change the action. This is what so much of therapy is based on too.

That doesn't reflect statistics (Most people who get married stay married, the "50% get divorced" stat is heavily misleading), nor does it mean that they themselves are also going to get divorced or have a child out of wedlock. It's not as if this is something out of our control. It might be statistically that married men tend to make more money so they end up paying more in taxes, and it's usually the marriage that both enables and forces them to make more money (They have to make more money to provide as their wife has children and has to take off of work, but they also may have more time to work since the wife might be taking care of the household duties). I don't actually know though, this is just me guessing but it seems to make sense.

And a lot of men will likely assume you were hooking up with random guys anyways, regardless of whether it’s true. . Yeah I think people just get a ton of cognitive biases either from their own behaviors, previous negative experiences, and usually way too much social media that amplifies these types of distortions in our minds. Women are certainly not expected to work, at least not nearly to the same degree as men are. This is very true. The fact that there's a "big push to be happily single" implies that they're unhappy being single, otherwise you wouldn't need a big push. It seems like both men and women (Not all, there's always exceptions that genuinely are happy) that say they're happy single have actually just given up on relationships, which is separate from being happy alone. I would say authentic is a better word than polarizing, and also to actually have an idea of your thoughts on things. The 50% statistic is actually wrong, and factors in serial divorcers (People who get divorced once often do it third/fourth/fifth times inflating the stats), the actual stat is somewhere around 30-40% of first time marriages. Then that is not a patriarchy. We literally live in a society where people vote for who they want (At least in the US and most western countries), and women make up the majority of voters. There are many women in power too who also benefit, which clearly means that it benefits "a small group of people" and not just "a small group of men" which means this is not a patriarchy. My understanding is that people are still overall happiest when they're in a good marriage. I don't think it's a good thing to tell people being single is better than marriage, we should instead encourage peopl…

But we don't know the reason the patient commits domestic violence. They're rushing to an assumption that men abusing women = internal beliefs about masculinity when we just do not know the reason for it. There could be so much different reasons that it happens. They could have been abused themselves as a child, they may have never been taught how to properly control themselves, it could be anything and instantly assuming that it's because of "traditional masculinity" reeks of propaganda not bas…

Same tbh. The honesty from people is actually refreshing and kind of hilarious at some times. At the very least I feel like I won't be banned for voicing my opinions. What do boys do with their friends? What demographic accounts for 95% of domestic abuse cases? Lol it's time for you to double check those stats big dawg. It's actually about 50/50 between men and women for cases of domestic violence. Most domestic violence relationships are reciprocal (Both people abu…

What do you think traditional masculinity is then? Holding the door for your madam and bringing her roses on her birthday after coming back from war? Chivalry would be one of them, yes. Along with principles of duty, self-sacrifice, higher propensity to take risks, higher levels of competitiveness, and so on. You can't just sit here and say that "masculinity is every trait that I think is bad". It is absolutely wild to say that anti-femininity is traditional masculinity. That is insane and I'm n…

You cannot even be a student of psychology without subscribing to the same beliefs that they do, you will literally be failed if you do not believe these concepts. Probably the ones in academia like the APA where their guidelines to therapists for boys are literally just talking about how "Boys struggling today means that women are hurting" and about how evil traditional masculinity is and how we need to change that. We are not cared about because we're humans like women are, we're cared about insofar as it affects women, and that's what most of the "healthy masculinity" definitions seem to follow from what I've seen. I didn't once say that men weren't allowed to do that, I said that women want a guy with a similar or higher income than them (Usually higher), and so a male teacher won't have as much luck. That does not mean no male teacher will be in a relationship. I'm not sure how you conclude that from what I said. I would not say it was "not that far from modern life" for anyone in medieval times, but it was almost certainly mundane for the vast majority of people, both men and women. I'm not suggesting that, the statistics are, or at the very least they say that men are victims of sexual assault/rape almost as often as women are. As I said, we flat out do not get counted in many of these statistics if we're forced to penetrate someone. It was a shock to me too, believe me. Same with domestic abuse. Did you just flat out not read what I said? The reason the figure is so low for men is because these statistics do not allow men to be raped. If a girl forces a man to penetrate her, that does not count as rape, because rape is defined as something where the person must be penetrated. First of all dino chicken nuggets are goat tier, I know damn well you grub on them bitches too when you can't think of anything else to eat, but actually I made myself some nice roast chicken with a bunch of herbs, and some vegetables/potatos/etc. You're a normal wal mart american just like the rest of us and enjoy some dinosaur nuggets every now and then. Matter of fact I know you hungry what u gonna grub on later today for dinner?

Yup that's about the response I expected. Everyone else can just look at this and see how unreasonable this person is being. Notice how she did not once acknowledge what I said, it's because she knows I'm right and that men have a done a ton for civilization that she happily indulges in. Also important to realize most women aren't like this. They don't hate men, they recognize that men have contributed a ton to society and value men, just as most men recognize the value that women provide to soc…

Really? Your air conditioner wasn't invented by a man? Your house wasn't built by men? The entire technology that you're using to communicate with me and doomscroll 24/7 on Tiktok wasn't invented by men? The food that you're eating wasn't grown and produced by primarily men? How about the indoor lighting in your house, or electricity as a whole? Was that not invented by men? You have some serious reframing to do in your life when it comes to men.

But it's not "30% of men". This is the problem that we have, the internet has cooked people's brains so much that they actively think it's anywhere even remotely close to that number. Only about 1% of men (In the US at least) have been convicted of a violent crime, the vast, vast majority of that violent crime is committed against other men, so it's even smaller for women. Women are responsible for the majority of infanticides. Imagine if I just refused to let women near my baby because of that?…

I really don't understand why some women tend to ignore all of the good that men do on here. Like great, I understand there's some evil men out there that do a lot of harm, but do you understand the massive amount of benefits that you have specifically because of men? We literally get to live in an air conditioned home, crying about the world problems from the comfort of our own home's in a nice bed with water that comes right to our house. If we're going to give men the "credit" of all the evil…

And you choose high paying jobs because men are supposed to provide, at least that's what society says (Around 70% of US adults to be exact, only 30% said the same for women). It's a lot easier to say you'd rather be dad when you're under the assumption that you can pursuit your dream job. It's a much different thing when you're a guy working some high stress job, having to put OT in, and working your ass off at a job that you don't really like but you have to do because it puts food on the tabl…

Because "Choose better" for some reason now means "Choose a guy who makes a ton of money, is 6 foot tall, etc etc". It's just shallow things that people are looking for. Don't go for a guy who is an utter moron who does nothing but sit in their house all day, or a guy who is known to be a player, obviously. When men say "Choose better" they mean "Choose someone with similar values to you, has a plan for their lives, and has some ambitions and goals, and is kind and faithful". These are far more …

How does that imply that there's a patriarchy? There's instances of discrimination against women, of course, and there's also instances of discrimination against men. It does not at all mean that we somehow live in a patriarchy, especially when we live in a democracy and women make up the majority of voters, at least in the US. I'm just going to copy/paste a comment I usually make on this because it's way too late at night for me to manually type it, so if something seems like it's random that's…

One of the "solutions" that's arguably the most effective that doesn't rely on other people's good graces is to have a vision for your life. Understandably, this is far easier said than done, but I think it's necessary (In every facet of life really, but also this one). A lot of young guys have absolutely zero vision or purpose for their life. The only "vision" they have is that which they see on the internet, which is a completely different person than they are, that is specifically curating th…

There's exceptions, but I hope you understand we cannot read your mind. If as you mentioned you had your bachelorette sash and whatnot on, sure, I get it, but in your average circumstance, we're not clairvoyant. The whole reason behind a guy asking is because they don't know. I want to caveat again that I'm not speaking about people that can't take no for an answer, I'm not talking about someone who randomly comes up and gropes you, I'm not talking about the guy who came up to you at your party,…

Being kind to others isn't low on the list, lol. I am not talking about people who actually are being creepy (Like touching, not listening after they're told no, etc), but if someone is just coming up to you and saying hello and asking for your number or something, it's not that hard to just say "No thank you" or something similar. If they don't accept that as an answer, sure, call them a creep, but there's absolutely no reason to be rude before someone's even given you a reason to.
