My personal opinion is that it’s morally wrong, ethically wrong, should be against school policy, and should be against the law. And according to whichever state this was it was against the law and is, in fact, rape. But it’s interesting to think that in a different state where age of consent is one year younger, this rapist would not be getting fired instead of prosecuted and fired. At the end of the day, even if this 17 year old is 18/19/20, still ick. Not that an age difference is a problem, but by 43 years old you should realize by then that age of consent doesn’t accurately reflect that 17/18/19/20 is still children. 6	"Rape"- When it's an adult with a minor it's called "RAPE" I didn’t see praise. Seems to be more of a general acknowledgment of statutory rape and an implication that it maybe wasn’t a traumatic experience for the victim the way other rapes are for other victims.
