Had to search for it but found it the article OP mentions Burn Your Ship

Watched this last night. "99 Homes" reality of having a house that you don't own, foreclosures and how no one gives a damn about you. You can only rely on YOU. Surprisingly good movie.

There was a former Navy Seal on Tim Ferriss's podcast who said "Discipline = Freedom". If you have the discipline to lift, you'll have the freedom to do more activities, be confident with your body, be healthier, look better, protect yourself. If you have the discipline to get up early, you will have more free time in your day to do what you want. If you have discipline with your finances, you'll have the freedom to buy, save, invest, have cash for what you want etc. Having discipline in your li…

I think videogames are a hobby; there are a lot of benefits to playing games for short amount of time 30-60 minutes. Jane McGonigal wrote a great book "Reality is Broken" going deep into studying the positive effects of gaming. BUT, the big downside of gaming as a hobby through Red Pill lens is it does not get you out of the house. You are in the house, with her around, hovering and not wondering what you are doing or where you are.

I really enjoyed DayBang. Helped with daygame and social dynamics handled in every day social encounters.

You have to train your ability to switch your mind and your current state into socializing when you need to. This may take time. One thing that helped me is to lower the bar of how good every conversation has to be. I used to hate small talk. I wanted to talk about ideas not events. But, there is a time and a place and to start, you have to embrace and enjoy the small talk about nothing. So train your mind to switch to socializing mode and enjoy mindless small talk about "nothing".

I had my nose broken in a fight when I was 19. Can't breathe through my nose very well ever since. I was horrible with women before 19 and after 19 up until age 24. I found game at 24; became really good at pick up. Still can't breathe through my nose correctly or well to this day. I though I was doing alright, but due to this article, now I know it was all a ruse. Seriously. It is a shame that this article is getting upvoted. Science or not, this does not help any one here on this subreddit. It…

Could you give some examples of "honestly expressing yourself" and where does "I think" and "I feel" fall into and feelings vs emotions. I have a vague concept of this but not refined or practically useful right now.

God damn that is good. It's like a system you design that funnels all the girls and their experience through as you tweak and iterate. That's brilliant. Can't believe I never thought of that.

I've had a lot of success telling mine "I need you to XYZ". So instead of saying "You need to..." I use " I need you to...". Subtle difference but it works better in my case.

I like this. I always had a hard time compartmentalizing different aspects of my life into useful and forward process. The only thing I would change is instead of Hobbies, change that to Skill. Skill Hobbies/Interest Experiences Great post.

Holy shit! I remember Temptation Island. I watched it in my 20's with a girlfriend at the time, and I remember feeling gut wrenched when the bald-headed Brad Pitt looking guy's girlfriend went off and cheated. I was so blue-pill at the time that I couldn't continue watching the show.

shit. you're right man. god damnit. I do worry about her reaction too much. That is my problem. Something I needed to hear but wasn't aware of it. Thanks for pointing this out.

I already changed to vag. Now I just have to hold frame when shit hits the fan.
/r/MarriedRedPill30/03/15 10:17 PM

When I get the chance, I'll re-arrange the letters to something like "Live Vag" or "Love Vag". I know she will bring it up butthurt about it. She will either say "What does this mean?" or "Why did you write Vag?" or "Why did you do that?" How would you respond to that?
/r/MarriedRedPill30/03/15 09:14 PM

I agree. She did this way back in the day when I was very Blue Pill. Many things have come into focus since discovering Red Pill that I would not allow now, but turning the dynamic around is a little harder then setting it up right from the start.

haha, that is pretty funny. holy sh1t. i think i'll do this. inevitably she is going to make a comment about it, my biggest thing is I shouldn't bring up her passive aggressive behavior and her child hinting as the old Blue Pill conditioning really wants to. What should be my go to when she brings it up?
/r/MarriedRedPill30/03/15 07:54 PM

I didn't think about re-arranging the letters to something funny. That's pretty good. Actually, it is her 2nd day on her period. I always thought that PMS was a week prior to her period, but she is acting bitchy on her period. Is this common? I just started to learn and track her cycle to better understand. Thanks for the reply. I need to always remember: AWALT, and you can't fix their emotions. Their emotions are theirs. Maintain frame. This is super common. It is women trying to make us respon…

yeah, you are right. damn. that would be accusation and since i didn't see her do it she would hamster away. good points. I think i'll either ignore or just simply tell her I need her to fix the letters without telling her why.
/r/MarriedRedPill30/03/15 07:29 PM

thanks man One thing i stopped doing is asking her "what's wrong". It is simply entering her frame and then it is almost impossible to switch frames. I was thinking simply telling her: "I'm need you to fix that on the wall. And next time if something is on your mind bring it up like a rational adult rather than leaving passive aggressive hints around the house." That might be too much explanation, which has been my weakness (too much justification and explanation). But letting your frame eventua…

fantastic post!!! One of my biggest obstacles is this and I haven't been able to find any reading about in the sub. Even in the NMMNG as you mention, it doesn't go about re-establishing your boundaries. Please cross-post this in the main Red Pill sub, more people should read this and contribute to the discussion
/r/MarriedRedPill14/02/15 04:01 AM

I agree with this. what you are simply doing is living in your own reality (your frame) and from this position you want to be ...FU. From the tone of the post, I think OP mean that you have to live your own life and from that position you can dictate FU.
/r/TheRedPill08/02/15 05:24 AM

This is great. Justification - makes sense now with all BS they put themselves and their men through. But, how do you deal with it? Call them out once in a while. Just live with it? Since all women will do this?
/r/TheRedPill28/01/15 05:13 PM

I am realizing that overt stating of boundaries should be a last resort and not the first go to. Also each boundary expression (covert/overt) that she crosses should have a consequence that you take with action. I guess in my mind, I always thought there should be no room left for self-interpretation. Thus I would always be overt and explain things to her. I am realizing that this isn't a good way to go when it comes to my LTR. As I began doing that without knowing what I was doing, her interest…

i see; it is primarily sub-communication. With overt verbal discussion should be limited and used as a last resort; yet all this has to come from your higher (prize/abundance) mentality. thanks for the reply

If she's respectful to her colleagues, friends, and family, even in disagreement, but then unloads on you with no filter, what does that say about her opinion of you? It's not a good one. I thought more about this... God damn this is a good point. That means the man has no boundaries or did not establish them properly. And I guess by that I mean I didn't establish or enforce my boundaries with her.

this is a good observation - basically treat the root of the problem, not the symptom. I like it. The issue is for men who discovered Red Pill into their marriage/LTR and didn't have the insight as they started their relationship. it is a lot harder and more gradual if the man wants to change the dynamics of the current relationship and not terminate it. the observation you pointed out is excellent at becoming aware of how much of value she sees you as. it is a great indicator where you stand in…

Majority don't care about the truth. Media especially. Majority want entertainment and a way to unplug. For now, RP will remain niched. I'm happy that I live in a time where I am able to find these outlets (this subreddit, RooshV, Rational Male, No MA'AM blogs, etc) that talk about these issues. But for TRP to go mainstream will require logic, rational thought and the ability to see the reality as it is. Which isn't happening any time soon.

Originally I read that as "you are becoming bitter much sooner than I expected" But "Your becoming your bitter mother much sooner than I expected" sounds nuclear.

You'll chase in the beginning of the seduction/attraction phase when you first meet her; but once the relationship dynamic changes and she is already into you, you become the leader. Basically, at that point you have to lead at all times. You take her opinions into consideration if needed, but you make the final and ultimate decision. Without ever justifying or explaining why. You make statements, you direct and lead. And you never ask "what do you want...". Things that has been helping me the m…

This is a required read: Woman Most Responsible Teenager in the house Here are some quotes. Excellent write up. So, how do you respond and deal with your woman or others when they press on you to justify yourself or keep asking you "why". I would also like to hear examples of insincere questions and how others manipulate their way into you.

Good point. Already started practicing my game. As far as maintaining frame of amused mastery; at what point do I break frame if at all and talk about decisions I am making? Or for example how far do I push for amused mastery/agree and amplify or switch to serious mode and tell her to stop or cut it out if she is continuing pushing my buttons? Any tips or advice?

Thanks for the reply. I think hardest part that I am going through right now is her reaction to how I've been lately. I talk a lot less. I stopped asking permission to do stuff. I stopped initiating sex. I think in my post all that came off as I was doing it to get validation from her and partially that is true but it is also how I want to act. Being more decisive, stop explaining myself or justifying myself. So now her reaction towards all the things I am trying to do right now are being met wi…

Thanks for pointing out the passive-aggressive tendency. I didn't realize I was doing that. I found this quote on AskRedPill: "When you catch yourself being passive aggressive, ask yourself: "How can I ask for this in an aggressive aggressive manner." Then, you remove the being a dick part. That's how you get assertiveness." Any suggestions to stopping and dealing with being passive-aggressive and becoming more assertive?

Do outside if you can. Better resistance and you are training functionality. Treadmill if running outside isn't an option. Also for running, to mix it up you can do sprints or sprinting hills (if you can find some) as substitute for jogging once in a while. I also implement a lot of stations during running and do a circuit of some sort. For example: 15 Kettlebell Swings 10 burpees Sprint or Jog .25 of a mile Repeat 3-5x. This is just as an example to mix it up.
/r/askTRP10/01/15 07:35 PM

You need to get slimmer and loose the gut/love handles. Here is what I would do in your position: Interval training/workouts, circuit workouts (kettlebell, bodyweight, plyo) 1-2x per week jogging 1-2 miles then once you got the shape and trimmed down, I would focus on heavy lifting. Good luck

One of the worthy advice that I recently got is you should talk a lot less and never explain yourself of why. My LTR is constatnly asking why or why not. I would explain myself all the time and justify my actions. I know it is partially the reason that the relationship isn't doing so well. So, talk a lot less and stop explaining why.

Acknowledge that you've been becoming more emotionally independent as a result of focused effort on personal growth, and that you no longer need her approval for your own fulfillment. At the same time, reassure her that even though you don't necessarily NEED her anymore, you still WANT her in your life as she makes it better as a whole. Reaffirm your plans for the future, whether that be kids or the DINK lifestyle, and tell her that you look forward to spending it with her. Letting her know that…

Really good post. I've been trying to figure this out more. In my last "LTR Field Report" I posted, I fell into the trap of over-explaining my self and pointing out to her what she did wrong. So I've been reading and trying to change my though and speaking process to stop explaining and justifying myself. I'm stuck in finding out how to deal with a few issues: when your woman constantly asks you "why" or "why not"; I tend to fall into trying to explain it. I've been doing better but how do you d…

Thanks. We only have co-sign apartment lease. But one thing I made to do from the very beginning is to have our financials separated. No joint credit, no joint banks. Always be willing to walk away has been something I learned during my pick up days over 8 years ago; and I still have that on my mind. Hope it doesn't get to that point, but since I am actively attempting to change this LTR dynamic, it is on the table.

I've been listening to him non-stop. This is where I am trying to implement his philosophy of logic-ing my way through her bullshit. I might be missing the mark or interpreting his way as not how it was intended. That is what I'm trying to find out how.

Thanks. Those are good replies I can start to implement. How do you deal with her constantly questioning me with "why" or "why not"? I tell her "no". She says "why". I got to a point where if I know I am about to tell her something, in my mind I run through all the possible scenarious of what she may ask me and why. That's fucked up. You are right. She would have just got more pissy. Perhaps the answer Rhunta gave is where I would like to be, but at this moment in time I have to introduce and change things gradually. It is so much harder to turn this LTR ship around with so much momentum. It would be easier if I were starting fresh. Right now I see this as a way to train on hard mode and I do want turn it around. But if that doesn't happen, I think this practice will only improve me. But I have to make sure I use the advice …

I'm starting from behind, way behind. Few weeks ago I initiated sex and she flat out turned me down with a "No". Then she said "Relationships are about compromise". I didn't say anything and left to go to the gym. I know what she said was horseshit. The relationship's value has slowly began to dip into 60/40; where 40% of it I'm happy and 60% of it I am not. Thus is why I am beginning to take the approach that I did last night. Thanks for the comment RedPillionaire.

Couple of hours later, after I came to bed she got up and went to sleep on the couch. This morning she was giving me the silent treatment. It is still early in the day. Later tonight we are going to a New Year's Eve party and we'll see how the night may unfold.

I've tried this before and sometimes it has taken up to a week+ of her sulking, silence, ignoring me and her being dissatisfied. Most of the time I ignore her and she eventually comes back around. But I always thought I was few moves behind when she does this.

Appreciate the feedback. I constantly tell her "no" and she always asks "why" or "why not". It has become its own issue. She never really wants to know why. What i want to do is to give her another option of how she could think and what other ways she could approach the subject. I want her to edit her self before she speaks next time. Instead of just doing this shit again. Maybe I'm asking too much right now. I've listened to a lot of Black Phillip lately, and one of the things that I tried to d…

Thanks for the feedback. One thing that I've noticed that I get pulled into is "hypotheticals" as you mentioned in your article. I've realized that and I do it a very little now. My main thing right now is how do tell her "No" and yet offer her other ways of thinking. Another option in her mind, so next time when she thinks she wants to ask me about a similar situation, in her mind she can edit herself and perhaps realize she is about to ask manipulative shit again. Maybe I am trying to achieve …

Thanks man. That is exactly what I am trying to do. How do I balance out simply saying "No" and being able to give her options of what else she could think and what she is doing isn't going to fly. I see. Thanks for the advice. You're right. "I feel" perhaps wasn't the most ideal way to tell her. I think I was trying to phrase my language in a way she would understand. But all that actually put me into her frame. I'm trying to ask everyone this question, because I feel that it is something either I'm not getting or haven't connected the dots yet. Thats why I'm here man. What would you have said other then "I feel..."? Just telling her straight up what she is doing? How do you explain or educate her on begin to "edit" herself before she brings up another similar situation in the future and do the same thing on a different topic. I don't want her to keep emotionally manipulating me into "yes" answer. I wanted to give her an option to see what she is doing. I've simply said "no" before and left it at that but her behavior doesn't improve.

I'll comment on becoming better at being Red Pill. You are at the stage of becoming aware of what you should or should not do. This is a very important step. You are aware, trying, attempting, adjusting, failing and adjusting some more. You will get better as awareness is one of the most important first steps you are taking. Next step that helped me from here is to plan in your mind what you would do in the next similar situation that you felt you didn't do well in. What are you going to say, ho…

"They Live" was a great 80's flick. I was too young to see the meaning behind it at the time. I constantly have to hold myself back now to not talk about what I see to others. From tv shows to commercials to people watching. It is difficult to keep my trap shut and avoid spilling the Red Pill Lens to friends and especially to my woman. Can a woman ever understand what you see through the Red Pill Lens? and if yes, how?

Just thought of a few more: "Lord of War" very red pill film, not so much about sexual strategy of red pill but about underlying human condition and main character is very Machiavellian. "Breaking Bad" many red pill vs blue pill characters.

"American Beauty" was fantastic. Kevin Spacey turns completely Red Pill although bitter by the end of the film. "The Ugly Truth" (ONLY HALF OF THE FILM) has good red pill lead character Gerard Butler. But then after half way it falls apart into a horrible Blue Pill ending. "Wanted" "Swingers" "The Weather Man" "Mud" something others always bring up. It was a good film. But it was also about a predatory female and not about a strong male character.

Thanks for this. Never heard of him. Just watched first 5 minutes of the 2 hour Marc Rudov A collection of clips-360p and I liked it so far. Going to rip it to mp3 and listen to entire thing. May get his book too "The Man's No-Nonsense Guide to Women: How to Succeed in Romance on Planet Earth".

I agree. Boredom for a woman is worse than death.

Fuck! This hits close to home. In Blue Pill days I used to believe this shit and do everything to make sure that she never went to sleep upset. She dumped me. Now, I let my woman be upset. Who gives a fuck why she is upset. That changes from moment to moment. It is not my job to keep track of her mood and improve her emotion on daily basis. Yes, there is still some anger inside me over this.

Very nice. Good list. I would add: G) Socialize daily with everyone you come into contact with. Small talk 10 seconds > 2 min.

You don't. Don't spread anything. They have to find it themselves. Focus on your own life.

Had a g/f who did the same thing. Always go by how you feel about it. Don't let her emotionally manipulate the decision for you.

"All the world's a stage" - William Shakespeare. Creating compelling spectacles to: Divert people's attention away from something you are doing Bring attention to yourself and to something you are doing This will have a greater impact if used sparingly. Example: MMA/UFC Chael Sonnen vs Anderson Silva (first fight). Sonnen created a huge spectacle of his pre-fight build up against Silva.

In my experience this has been a yellow/red flag that eventually may manifest into a problem. I dated a girl where during our first time "official" date/meetup I was running late. She texted me "Are you still coming". I didn't think much of it at a time and ignored it. But for someone to text that when you don't even know them and only met them once is a red flag. I dated her for a year. She was a clingy psycho with a bipolar disorder. Your situation may need more information and evidence in how…
