It's pretty bad because AI obviously doesn't have that ability to form a human-human connection required for therapeutic success long term. AT BEST, AI is usable as a supplemental tool as part of existing therapy, but for what conditions and situations it is best for hasn't been determined yet. AI just tells you what you want to hear in a flamboyant and validating way. Therapy isn't supposed to do that, it is supposed to walk through real issues and help develop ways to cope with them and combat…

Public figures, especially ones I think are evil, will be held to a different standard and treated as such.

This is a leftist sub and bashing those bitches is epic. We just want better, less stigmatizing focus on men and men’s issues. Bold words from someone without situational awareness

Yes that was my point with it being the worst possible phrase to describe the phenomenon

You are genuinely correct that masculinity refers to the personality traits, social norms/roles, and other related social factors that are traditionally described for men, and femininity for women. It is absolutely possible for men to not fall high on their “masculine” spectrum; you and I alike. That’s the issue with social labels in general. Just because we may not be traditionally masculine doesn’t mean we aren’t “men” or that we are inherently “feminine”. We just don’t fall within the boundar…

The problem is “toxic masculinity” referred specifically to traditionally and/or historically “masculine” traits which, particularly in modern western society, do quite literally nothing but harm others and self harm for men. This would be in reference to things like extreme anger reactions, or sexist attitudes, etc. It’s just that “toxic masculinity” was probably the worst phrase they could come up with for it. And when the right wingers and the actual man hating left hijacked the term, no one …

Another bill filled with addresses to non-issues and first amendment/civil rights violations. Republican moment. Also not sure how this relates to men's freedom of expression. It's just more anti-trans drivel, which would probably be used to attack cis people too (i.e., clothing and hairstyles for women, which have been historically more controlled in institutions like schools than for men; but would probably affect men with longer hair too).

I mean, it does sound a bit generalized. Or even that you had good intentions but were not able to immediately word it in a way that didn't sound dismissive or generalizing in a negative way. For example, did you establish a solid reason why you were saying what you said? Did you explain why it isn't meant to be a negative thing for 2-groups to need one another? More often than not, when people say what you say, it *is* meant in a negative way, hence why they were likely to jump on to the "this …

I mean it is never fully guaranteed, but it is cause for concern when it comes to interpreting the results of the study. Social desirability bias and so on. Feminists, and social advocates in general, can safely be assumed to be more aware of social attitudes, others and their own, and likely more susceptible to social desirability biases.
