Try reading it like this, “His name... is Employment.”

Confident as fuck? Sounds like desperate as fuck. I get where you’re coming from OP, but it doesn’t work like this in real life. Atleast where I’m from, bars are slam packed and loud. Have a short, meaningless conversation with 10 girls? Too bad, they’re already gone to another bar or someone else has already swooped them up. My success (and I’ve had a good amount of it) has always come from honing in on one girl. I see a girl at a bar, I’m gonna sit down next to her, then start up a meaningful …

Funny. I hooked up with a girl this weekend. After she went home I didn’t even text her or ask if she got home safe. The next day I had a, “Holy shit I’m an asshole”, moment of clarity where I realized how many times I’ve done this to girls. I immediately texted her. If I find a girl attractive, but not necessarily have an interest in pursuing I’ll typically do this unintentionally. It’s pretty fucked up. Like someone else mentioned it’s not worth having a loose cannon and have this girl run aro…

I'm 5'7" and pretty muscular. Holy shit I can never find shirts that fit right. They need a size in between medium and large.

Not trying to be an ass, but I didn't even know people continued to purchase that shit after they hit puberty. Just never buy Axe or any of those cheap "sprays". Be a man and buy something classy. Doesn't need to be overpriced. One-night stand, night out with the friends, dinner with mom, it doesn't matter -- just give yourself a good smell.

AXE? Are you kidding me, dude? Women aren't attracted to cheap smells and if they recognize that it is in-fact a cheap fragrance, then it's probably a turn off. Just go to Hollister or Abercrombie and get something that smells good.

I've always thought paying obscene amounts of cash for a table and bottle service is so fucking stupid. If you can afford it then I get it, but my game is just fine table or not.

How romantic it must be to NOT live in CA.

Hey man, I only know this because it's happened to me. I thought I could fill that lonely void with sex (with people I'm not interested in), but once you orgasm you're just back at square one. Look at it this way -- it shows you that your heart really wants love and a relationship rather than lust. Lusting and casual sex isn't a bad thing at all, but sometimes it blinds us from our true desires.

Also, you'd be surprised how feeding that "sexual thirst" and finally getting laid will still leave you feeling lonely and empty inside. Sex isn't always the cure for emotional neediness. I think that's the point he's making at least...

I feel for ya man -- it sucks. I know this might sound lame, but go out and do some scouting in your car. Drive around your town and check out places you could take a girl after a nice night out. There is this hillside overlooking my town and I've boned in my car twice there. Some girls might even think of it as voyeuristic or romantic as well.

I've literally used the line, "Hey, can I kiss you?", countless times and it's fool-proof. It's "cute" and shows assertiveness at the same time.

I would send her a big basket of flowers with a note asking her to go out with me again. Oh man, please don't. Have some dignity. She was blatant about her not wanting a second "date" and would rather just be friends. It sucks man I know, but you should be VERY grateful that she's so straight forward about it. From experience I can tell you that it's much worse when a girl is wishy-washy and leads you on even when she has no interest. The sooner you stop talking to her, the easier it'll be to mo…

Could be true, but I think you'd be surprised. The whole "waiting a certain amount of time to text back" game is actually really common.

Awesome read! What're your plans/goals now? Going back to college? Find a job and work up from there?

Or maybe you've just been so accustomed to lying that it doesn't have an effect on you. This probably isn't healthy.

I have the same problem because I'm pretty socially anxious. I think I'm focusing on what they're saying, but in reality all my focus is on what I'm going to say in return. Don't try to formulate responses while they're speaking, they'll come naturally. Look up articles and videos on how to really listen to someone speaking to you.

I'm a 5'7" baby-faced male, so I understand where you are coming from. I always get the, "OMG! You're so adorable! Meet my daughter!" from the moms in the bars and I'd often ask myself, "Why aren't the women my age hitting on me the same way?". So I stepped back, assessed the situation and realized how absolute SHIT my personality was. The negative thoughts of me being short and baby-faced really clouded my "person" as a whole. So before you start being so hard on yourself about your looks, trul…

I have been told otherwise. Over, and over again. In what context? Like, when you're in a bar and hitting on someone? Or a friend will tell you that you aren't attractive?

What the hell, man? You look great. I don't know why people would be pushing you out of promo pics. I think your best bet is to keep a full beard and shave your head bald. Hit the weights if you currently aren't. EDIT: Your best look is in the pics with the grey shirt.

Super curious as to what you looks like, OP.

None of the above. Lots of traffic where you live? Was the original location foreign to her? She probably just wants to feel comfortable knowing she's close to home.

would you want to receive help from someone who’s life is falling apart I'm not trying to call you out on bullshit or anything, but I'd really love to hear your story. Did you turn your life around or have you always been a confident person? Was there some life altering experience you had or did you slowly chisel away at your problems? Most of the time I feel like good posts like these come from the most broken of people because they know it the best.

This sub can really drag a person down too. They'll read and read and think they're bettering themselves, but they're not. They're preparing themselves, but not bettering. So when things go wrong for this person what do they do? They'll head back to this sub for shelter.

Different strokes for different folks, totally understand what you mean! It's more of me just conveying my thoughts and if people feel the same way I do it'll remind them that they aren't alone.

Then you should keep reading :) Cast out, some will bite and some won’t. I’ve sat in my boat and watched far too many pretty fish swim on by, but never had the courage to throw out my line. That's more of the point I was trying to get across and what you quoted was me expressing how I feel at times.

Speaking of kino, are there any games that you can play that involves you touching her hands or something of the sort?

Regardless of what people say on here rejection will hurt more or less. You'll get over it soon and the next girl you come across will lie whole new potential.

I appreciate the elaborate response. Yeah, if I'm traveling it'll be with another friend. We'd obviously check out sites, but mainly I wanna travel for scenic hikes, chilling at the beach, exploring towns, and hitting up the night life. I have a sense of wanderlust and the idea of exploring with minimal luggage and just going with the flow has always appealed to me. EDIT: Mind if I ask what kinda traveling you've done?

Kinda off topic, but can you tell me more about hostels? Are they dirty? Expensive? Is it weird sleeping in a room with a bunch of random strangers? I wanna travel Europe as well.

Seems as if OP already has enough isolation as he has no way of contacting her.
