I'm with Zoe. People that float around a party only spending 5 minutes with each person asking the same questions and then coming back around for a second loop seem desperate or forced. Talk to every girl at the party, but take time with each one so they remember you (like Zoe said make them feel special). You're making yourself desirable, demonstrating value, and you'll feel better about yourself too because it will feel like you're making real connections.

"if I actually know them, I deserve an explanation" Write an explanation for them. Tell yourself she chickened out because you are too good looking for her. Tell yourself she had a boyfriend that she was considering cheating on with you but had a crisis of conscious at the last minute. Tell yourself she was afraid she'd fall too desperately in love with you. Once you have an excuse for her, picture her telling it to you. I've done this with a couple girls and I end up feeling GOOD about the bail…

I think it's entertaining, though it seems to be more about what NOT to do then what to do. Like watching American Idol to learn how to become a great singer.

Barring all of those, EVERY University has a huge number of extra curricular clubs and groups for pretty much every interest you could imagine. Find a group with a matching passion, or just start trying some that sound cool. Trust me, no matter how bad your situation is right now, you will ache for the opportunity that your University days provided once you enter the working world. Good luck!

This is really great advice. EVERYONE has accomplished something in their life that makes them interesting. Ask someone close to you (even if its family) what makes you interesting. Find something that you agree with, and use that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
