Wife gave me a post-nup to make her feel “safe” enough to save the marriage. I said hell no. Make your decision.

Thanks for helping explain the rant. But really I still don’t understand. Sounds manic

Sorry to hear your situation. But I wonder why do you think divorce will make her family go away? The child will be with both of you forever. You may not have to see her family much after a divorce but the children will most likely.

I had the same initial thought sorry to say.

Ah thanks. I see the points here. These just happen to not apply to my case though. There will be no silver bullet option for either of us, and our date of separation would be set by an MSA. As for the first $3500 of the retainer - that would be used for creating the MSA and divorce filing if done first anyway. Your points are taken though if this situation applies. Thanks

Ok. Well that’s just bad attorney advice and not about any benefit to file first still. Also my state doesn’t have the 10 year thing but that doesn’t matter here anyway. I still don’t see any examples of why it could be better to file first.

Interesting to hear all the same comments about social media increase with the peri. It is happening to my possible future ex and I didn’t know it was a common issue.

I’m still not hearing any real benefit. They can drag their feet either way. Still wondering if there are any though.

Can you give real examples of how? I asked a lawyer about this and he said it doesn’t matter who files first -That’s not something the judge cares about.

My wife said this is what the couples therapist that we were looking at starting with said. She apparently did a secret in take with her and without me. I just find my wife’s notes from the meeting. It also says that therapist would like ask the reports prior to stating couples therapy. This is so incredibly biased and not neutral. I’ve never spoken to the lady!

I agree on the therapy, but that wasn’t my question. Any insight on the evaluation ask? Thanks

If you don’t declare (hide) assets and it’s discovered, the court would award all of that to her. So DO declare!

I recently learned I have a 10 yr old child. Talked to a lawyer and learned that the mother cannot seek child support back pay. CS would only begin upon the date of her actually filing for it.

Which coparenting app helps catch negative tones in messages? That sounds very useful. Thanks

It’s misunderstood that these are new drugs. They have been used for many decades for diabetes and the side effects have been well measured. Noting in the mental health range like this. They recently got approved for weight loss, but don’t mistake them for new.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
