First things first since you admitted doing the act in front of your children remove anything in this post and future post admitting you did anything wrong as she could try and tie you to this down the road. Don’t let this bump in the road end your military career. You supported your children (and her while married) from your dependent entitlements. Until the courts appointed a dollar amount that is all you’re required to do so your leadership can’t fought you for that. From this point forward k…

2 weeks during the summer isn’t that bad and often it is that way in most agreement. Mine states each parent gets 2 weeks during the summer. It can be broken up or taken together. It is a long time but we also have it written that we get 30 mins a night FaceTime calls with the children so that helps out.

The state I’m in requires 365 days with children. I can say for this last year it’s basically been a divorce.

I have them draw and color a “card” for MD. I take them shopping with a $10 limit for bday and Christmas

I looked for a relationship a year after divorce. I found out dating here and there wasn’t it for me so I focused on my mental and physical health. It isn’t easy but with time you get to a space comfortable for you. For me being alone and the quiet was the worst. I’ve started reading more and seems to really keep my mind off of being alone. Hang in there brother brighter day will be ahead.

Like others have said my brother it takes time. Some days are better than others but overtime the hurt does turn for the better. I thought I was over it when I found out she didn’t make it with her AP and was good for a while until I just happen to run into her and the new guy. All the feelings of hurt and angry came back but it is what it is. I say this just to say just give it time and continue focusing on yourself. Hang in there you’ve got this bro.

She has attempted but through time and the strength I have I’ve look past it. We’ve got the app set up and that’s the only communication I have with her. Thanks for the words brother.

That’s why I’m single. Was told multiple times it was a “running group” and I should have just went with my gut. Lesson learned and on to being the best dad I can be.

This is a difficult one for sure because the children are everything. Something else to consider is what are her brother family views toward you. I’d hate for you to go with everyone having disrespectful thoughts toward you. I get it and agree it’s all about the children but you being happy and wanted there is important too. What about letting them go and once they return doing something with the littles ones? Not sure their age but there’s a few new children friendly movies coming out, bowling,…

I’m currently enrolled in Betterhelp. It cost $90 a week but I can say it’s help me greatly so far and has help through my current situation with divorce and relationship with my children. To me I’m more comfortable talking over the phone than being in an in-person deal. Hang in there cause as crappy as it seems now with time the wound will start to heal.

She blew her settlement money on a vacation that she claimed she needed to get away from everything. She lost the place she was living and now in her late 30s she is back in her parents home She continues to ask I pay more than what was ordered (half of children’s day care/after school care) but my lawyer has been by my side the entire time and I haven’t paid a dime more that what was agreed on. It did suck watching everything unfold for our children but they are happy they get to be with their …

This was a hard pill for me to swallow for sure so I understand where you’re at. I would say just be honest with them and speak from your point of view. Try and stay away from the blame game if possible (don’t know the situation) and last be open to hearing their side too. Good luck to you brother

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
