It's so fake. They get "engaged" after 4-5 days of chatting without seeing each other in order to take a trip to a resort town in Mexico and get more TV time. I literally did this twice today (lunch and dinner) and didn't even think about this... Might be from all the traveling I got used to it. It's actually great. I'm there to eat and enjoy the meal. I don't understand people who can't enjoy a meal unless it's with someone. The other thing I don't understand fully is people who have to do something in order to meet up. If a friend or whoever wants to meet up to chat, we don't need to have food or drink in front of us to chat.

The statute requires men, but not women, to sign up for the draft. Decades ago, the Supreme Court held that women were not eligible for combat. The statute was challenged again and a lower court recently ruled that the draft law was unconstitutional. Since its a lower court, it doesn't carry the weight of the Supreme Court and the whole issue is caught in an odd legal place for the moment.
