2	seriously... We don’t know his intent. Most likely he was just making conversation. Which is fine. I’m not saying that this dude is a sexist pig for asking whether she’s married or not. This situation points out a subtle difference in how men and women are viewed, and the language we use to talk about them. 1	seriously... There is a bit of a false equivalence here. A guy’s name doesn’t traditionally alter once he’s married. It doesn’t work with the genders flipped because the guy’s identity doesn’t change while the woman’s does. People literally will start referring to them as “Mr. and Mrs. John Doe”. I’m not saying this is the biggest issue, but it’s very annoying to be defined by your relation to a man instead of your own accomplishments.	/r/PussyPassDenied	23/01/20 02:50 PM
