Yeah, I mostly agree. I just feel that beginners should be exposed to a couple isolation movements so they can get used to them and so that they don’t turn into a ‘powerlifter’/frog build like I did after running a compound-heavy program for my first year. I feel like catching up is worse than having a couple sets here and there from the start and isolation isn’t taxing to the same degree anyway so I frankly can’t think of a reason one wouldn’t program a little bit of isolation on each day, even…

Compound movements are great for doing a lot in not much time but I feel like you have de-emphasised isolation work too much. Bicep, direct shoulder, abs, neck, all of these should be slotted in during the rest periods of your bigger compound movements. If you are out of breath after a set of bench, you need to do cardio. Any halfway fit person will be able to pump out some abs or curls during the rest of a bench set.

But people as a whole are attracted to the same things. Facial structure, leanness, hair, etc. Every person has their own minor preferences but as a whole, people agree on who the best looking people are. It’s like universities. Some universities may be preferable to some people or for some courses but as a whole, we all know where they are in the rankings as a whole.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/23 12:16 PM

Fair enough. So you will only date those who are of at least equal socioeconomic status to you that you are also attracted to? What are your thresholds for looks? I am assuming that you wouldn’t consider a short, fat guy of the same socioeconomic status as you a potential partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 11:57 PM

So, are you dating people who are objectively ranked lower? I’d assume not but you are free to refute this. Assuming you are, you are therefore clearly dating people of ‘higher ranking’ which perfectly matches u/uselessloner123’s point.

Your points about narcissism presenting as confidence and DT men’s lack of inhibition do have merit. I can understand the questioning of sources which are qualitative, fair enough. However, the fact that the synaptic structure of the brains of autistic and psychopathic individuals show the opposite traits is pretty much irrefutable. There’s no level of bias that can lead to brain imaging to suggest entirely different and opposing neurological structures. Explain exactly the logical reasoning why…

1

All of your points are entirely conjecture. You are just stating that there are overlaps between dark triad traits and those shown as a whole by autistic people despite the fact that these diseases being pretty much the opposite of each other neurologically and symptomatically. Your entire other point was ‘oh, the researchers are just biased in trying to defend autism.’ Anyway you are just trying to convince yourself that the reason that women dislike autistic men is because they are actually, l…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/23 11:04 AM

Anyway, there is good evidence that women prefer attractive men who display dark triad traits. Nobody takes a loser seriously whether or not they are a bad boy. Part of the definition of an archetypal ‘bad boy’ is that they are quite above average in terms of attractiveness. Also the thing about autistic men having dark triad traits is not only not true, it is the exact opposite of reality. In conclusion: You are very, very wrong. On everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 09:02 PM

To be honest, nothing is further from the truth. In summary: Autistic people have a deficiency in synaptic pruning. The reasons for this are not clear. Psychopaths have exactly the opposite brain structures. They have excessive synaptic pruning. The reasons for this are also debated but it can stem from childhood abuse and neglect. In more detail: In autistic individuals there is a lack of synaptic pruning, which causes a greater interconnectivity of the neurons [1], though many of these connect…

I just want people to acknowledge that many a time, women know what they’re signing up for but do it anyway for the tingles. That’s fine and all, but you don’t get to do that and then turn around and blame everyone else for your misfortune. Women are humans too and make mistakes, the only difference is that they are portrayed as the ‘fairer’ sex when they are just as primally driven as men, although it manifests itself differently. To be honest, it’s not all that terrible of an idea. Your behavi…

Your percentile. The market is efficient and women demand higher percentiles and are willing to make sacrifices for that. You have an objective league based on how attractive you are relative to the rest of the male population and an actualised league based upon how attractive you are to the other sex.

Wow. A lot of those artists revolutionised music. I don’t think Beastie Boys are entirely forgotten, I have heard them mentioned by people in their teens now. It depends what you define as a ‘Chad.’ Most people are at least above average when they get to decently low bf. The dick size thing seems ridiculous. When is that a selection criteria? You can’t show your dick off and unless all the women in your area are all friends, how would they even know? I feel like it’s more the mental of knowing you are big. This isn’t to say that you can be a Chad if you are short, fat or ugly or have a tiny peen. These are all crippling to dating. However, your defini…

Strongly disagree. People know their favourite type of pizza or McDonalds order but if you asked people who they are, they wouldn’t be able to answer with anything more substantive than a job title. Most people never really get to know themselves on a deep level. They never explore their subconscious reactions to things and therefore really only know themselves on a surface level. If everyone knew everything about themselves, we wouldn’t need psychologists. I do agree that it is arrogant to presume that any individual doesn’t know themselves, I’m just pointing out that very few do.

Men are very malleable in their preferences. A man may like woman with big tits, say. If he finds a girl with small tits who he otherwise likes and especially if he likes her personality, it’s very easy for him to catch feelings. This is despite green eyes being a very uncommon trait. Men generally have preferences whereas, …

Those points are fair. Sweden seems pretty based. It may well be different for sexual assault but the study does also suggest that they were the people who did the vast majority of those too. To be honest, it is unsurprising that rapists tend to rape more than one person. People who do things once are way more likely to do it again than a random person doing it for the first time. Therefore, the assumption that the rapes are distributed equally across men is what I dislike.
