But even if you can it's more about finding a therapist that you like and works well with you. I don't have experience but they can generally work with a lot of problems. I don't know much as I'm really new to all this but this is my take: This one person didn't appreciate your joke, the "personality" you showrd, or maybe you didn't seem confident enough. That's totally okay. Maybe they weren't a good match. I think trying to change what you say and try to "be nice" makes you less genuine. If you say what you think is funny then when someone likes it it will actually be because they think you're funny. Then you're off to the races.
