I didn’t say someone can’t make improvements through consistency, hard work, their demeanor and through putting themselves out there, ambition, etc. But most of what you detailed is entirely subjective. Most people gravitate to something “similar” to them, it’s biological. Things like the halo effect are real and people often attribute inner qualities like intelligence, kindness, charisma based on appearance and initial impressions, most people don’t have the bandwidth or attention span to accur…

I don’t think it’s that deep. It’s mainly genetics which affords one options, status, and then environment. People generally treat people by how they look and what they see. More-so nowadays than years ago. Considering mainly looks, age, income, and environment influence one’s options, it’s a rather shallow venture.

The old herd mentality. Lots of sheep. Strange, but it’s true. You wonder how many people truly think for themselves out there. Rare to find

How can one radiate confidence and charisma if they’ve gone through trauma or have a chronic health condition, etc.? Especially if the intimate part of your life is impacted. Truly changes your life.

Do you notice any negative side effects to being on TRT? I know it’s a lifelong commitment once you’re on.

That’s why it sucks to not have options or be isolated, have chronic disease, etc.

It’s the herd mentality, but it’s hard to fit in when you’re genuinely a lone wolf. Crazy how thinking for yourself really actually isn’t valued. But I find the herd mentality pretty boring.

Probably because they’re better looking or have certain genetic disposition. Humans are rather predictable the more you observe.

There definitely is. Stature, status, culture, height, body type, genetics play a part in people who even talk to other people normally. You see it all in the time in friend groups. Humans tend to gravitate to something similar, kind of tribal.

Interesting. Good to know. Never thought it mattered either way at either age for me personally. But you’re right in that the notion of “experience” and social standing, emotional maturity seems to go a longer way.

Indeed. There’s always some type power dynamic at play regardless of age.

So are you saying college girls like 35 year olds if given the choice? Or do they choose who is hotter? We aren’t talking about a long term deep commitment here or someone looking for money.

Moral? Really depends on individually specific situations. Morality is hazy territory to debate in this area. Is what Leo DiCaprio does immoral? Is well run prostitution in say the Netherlands immoral? If someone is disfigured or has a disease, or is obese, etc, etc. Each individual is different, but obviously no one should be taking advantage of another. Yet, so much is about a power exchange in this area, even factoring age out of the equation.

Wait until you get to 85. Even better.

With a life altering medical condition that impacts the intimate area of my life permanently (despite best efforts to be as healthy as possible with exercise/diet, etc.) not sure how in this day in age to have that part of life. Definitely isolating.

But you’re not factoring in being blindsided by appearance and status. First impressions do go a long way in our society unfortunately, people can form their lives around that versus the unnoticeable ones. It’s not playing “victim,” or being negative, as much as it is realism. Kindness is important on a level of personal fulfillment. Being compassionate to humans is a necessity for me as an individual. But, the poster makes good point about perception. In the end though, to let others perception…

Wonder if it’s the same logic for online hiring and pretty much anything in the virtual world that’s been normalized, based on images or first impressions.

It’s a direct contradiction. Agreed.

It’s because “dating” isn’t real. Think about it outside the context of society and what’s normalized. It’s like sampling friends occasionally, then wanting a deep friendship after all that. That only occurs when you are doing your own thing entirely, and it’s organic and not a forced ritual that’s been normalized because of screens and tech. It won’t lead to any deeper outcome until you find this depth in other areas of your life, that is to say within. The cliches are true about every person y…
