We cohabitated for about 3 months as well. And I do the same thing you said…pre empt things and paint them in the worst light. It was excruciating for me to stare at that dark tunnel and know I’d have to walk through it soon.

Just started this 2 months ago after my ex moved out. Never lived alone either. Shit can make you go crazy, especially in the house you shared memories with her in. The ghost of her is in every room. I’m hoping that will fade soon. Hang in there. Stay busy and active. Eat healthy and get good sleep if possible. Keep your head up. Try and stay away from the booze…trust me.

I feel you man. It’s been just over 2 months since my ex moved out. We were together for 10 years from 28-38. She was my best friend, my rock, my partner in crime if you will. My ex moves out Friday. I feel you man. It’s like each day is a countdown to the final goodbye. But there’s a silver lining in everything usually. Just gotta find it sometimes.
