Where aren't they the minority?

The same club, within weeks, accused of spiking drinks then accused of rape. Incredible coincidence.

Avid gunnowners still wouldn't agree to hand their guns back in that scenario. There is no scenario they will hand them back. And smoking has absolutely always been a social issue. The costs to the health system of smoking related illness and the cost to families of smokers has and continues to be enormous.

You call it a "battlefield", why so you find the search for romance to be war like?

In Australia at least whenever there is a female in court for abuse of an underage male, the social media comments along the lines of “lucky kid” or “where were teachers like this when I was at school” are almost exclusively made by men. EVERY time these articles appear, the same predictable comments.
/r/MensRights24/07/22 03:45 AM

Correct, and that’s the wage gap. Why do men work more hours than women? Why do women end up with substantially less superannuation than men? Because they don’t ear as much. Why don’t they earn as much? Generally because they bring up children during their working life. That’s the wage gap. That’s it. It’s the root cause that is the wage gap over a whole working life. If you hear a female talking about the wage gap, she’s not talking about her male colleague who worked some overtime last week as…

Your logic has changed a lot since your comment about a guy on $10 an hour working OT and comparing to a woman who doesn’t do OT. That’s why I began to comment because you were a million miles away from that definition you just posted, that comment does not reflect someone “who reads shit”. I’m glad you’ve learnt something.
/r/MensRights21/07/22 09:23 AM

No where did I say that women were paid less than men. I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the “wage gap” is referring to. I’d suggest you read a bit more on the topic.
/r/MensRights21/07/22 09:08 AM

Well the very first google search gave me census.gov which says this on the first page: State-Level Findings Places with a wage gap above $15,000 included Wyoming, $21,676; Utah, $17,303; and the District of Columbia, $16,032. And it goes no from there. So I’m not wilfully ignorant as you’ve now alleged twice, in fact it’s probably you. So let’s move on. Good day to you.

No thanks, I’m not here to pander to your demands. You can google as well as I can.
/r/MensRights21/07/22 06:40 AM

Well you called me willingly ignorant, I consider that abuse, it’s untrue and not helpful to the discussion. That’s not how the wage gap is “calculated”, that’s a very simplistic view. The wage gap is the disparity of men and women in higher paid jobs, not a male working overtime in a particular week and a female not.
/r/MensRights21/07/22 12:08 AM
1

I think you are making a very good point, why weren’t 15 year old girls doing that? That’s getting towards the root of the issue I think.
/r/MensRights20/07/22 09:59 PM
-2

I made no such inference, but it is a fact there are more men in higher paying jobs.
/r/MensRights20/07/22 09:57 PM
1

I’m not sure why you see the need to abuse me. The wage gap is the disparity between the number of men and women in higher paying jobs, not men working overtime and women not working overtime.
/r/MensRights20/07/22 09:57 PM
-3

I don’t understand your point, can you rephrase please?
/r/MensRights20/07/22 12:25 PM
-5

I think you may be missing the point, the pay gap exists because men are disproportionately hired for higher paying jobs. I'm not making comment on why that may be the case, the reasons are multiple, but that's why the gap exists.

The study doesn't show that women are more likely to be violent. The closest the article comes to saying that is "women can be as violent as men in domestic disputes."
/r/MensRights08/07/21 09:28 PM
10

Yeah this isn’t ok, you’ve been assaulted by a person you should have been able to trust. Your 3 points are interesting, here in Australia there is a lot of talk about high profile historical allegations of rape, and lots of people routinely ask why the victim didn’t report it immediately. I feel your points exactly explain why.
/r/MensRights04/07/21 11:28 AM

In many countries that’s possible, doesn’t prevent rape.
/r/MensRights03/07/21 06:10 AM

Well let’s assume sex is a fundamental need that is not being fulfilled, I think that’s what you mean in your post. What’s your suggestion for society?

What environment should society have provided Cosby to satisfy his needs?
/r/MensRights03/07/21 03:37 AM

I think it’s something like 50 women that have made accusations against Cosby, I can’t imagine there are many men on a list that have that many different people accusing them.
/r/MensRights01/07/21 03:38 AM
1

I mean alcohol doesn't come into it as a defence. You can't claim I didn't obtain consent because I was drunk. Or you can't say the victim didn't say no because they were drunk so I just had my way with them. I don't understand this "both too drunk to consent" scenario...can you give me an example?
/r/MensRights30/06/21 09:00 PM
6

Yeah, and those kids are now left effectively parentless with no obvious financial support at all.
/r/MensRights30/06/21 06:25 AM
1

That’s not what I said. In Australia at least, drunkenness isn’t an excuse for not obtaining consent. If you have consent, all good. If you don’t it’s rape. If you end up in court and say I was too drunk to know what I was doing and you’ve raped someone, you’re a rapist. If you end up in court and you say the other party was too drunk to say yes or no, you didn’t have their consent so you’re a rapist. It’s simple really, if you don’t have consent it’s rape regardless of how drunk anyone is.
/r/MensRights29/06/21 10:00 PM
1

No, I think I’m being pretty clear. Drunkenness isn’t relevant, if one doesn’t consent then it’s rape.
/r/MensRights29/06/21 08:18 PM
1

Repeat, drunkenness is irrelevant. I didn’t think this is a difficult concept.
/r/MensRights29/06/21 12:44 PM
1

What? Being drunk doesn’t define rape. If one party doesn’t consent then it’s rape, just take alcohol out of the equation, it’s irrelevant.
/r/MensRights29/06/21 03:00 AM
2

No, if there is a rape the fault is with the party that didn't have consent, drunkeness is not relevant. Don't put words in my mouth. My point is that being drunk is not a defence to not obtaining consent.
/r/MensRights28/06/21 12:45 PM
-4

I didn't mention gender anywhere mate, I think its you that might be sexist.
/r/MensRights28/06/21 11:39 AM
-5

If they are both drunk amd there is no consent it's rape. The same way we don't accept drunkenness as an excuse for a motor vehicle accident, being drunk isn't an excuse for not obtaining consent.
/r/MensRights28/06/21 10:13 AM
-10

Hold up mate, women don’t get raped because they get drunk. Women are raped because their attacker didn’t have consent.
/r/MensRights28/06/21 09:13 AM
-10

I don’t deny that I’m perhaps lucky. My point is “violence is always a possibility” is not the case just because you are a man. My comment is poorly worded, what I was trying to say the risk of violence might be environmental, it’s not ingrained due to gender. My guess is the number of men that consider violence “is always a possibility” is small.
/r/MensRights28/06/21 08:57 AM
-30

Physical violence is not always a possibility for males. In my nearly 60 years I’ve never hit someone or been hit. If violence is a constant threat to you I think that’s more about you and the people you associate with rather than your gender.
/r/MensRights28/06/21 08:37 AM
-1

I wonder what it is about us that you feel like that and I’d not feel that way at all? Who or what is making you feel that you can’t be afraid?
/r/MensRights25/06/21 10:52 AM
-3

Ok…but when the topic is men’s violence against other men, it is a men’s issue, I don’t think overtly saying that is dismissing it.
/r/MensRights24/06/21 11:43 AM
-7

Men’s violence against others is a men’s issue. I don’t ever see the comment “it’s just men doing this…”. Sure, feminists do say it’s men doing this to other men, but I don’t hear the dismissive “just”.
/r/MensRights24/06/21 10:41 AM

It doesn’t help you argument against generalisations when you literally use one yourself a few words later.

They might think it is, but it isn't.
/r/MensRights10/05/21 12:53 AM

It doesn't. Regretting consent isn't rape.

There are always going to be people who see things differently, if we can't get past that then we will never get to address the why.
/r/MensRights02/05/21 07:46 AM

“Who the fuck cares why”? Really? I think you are missing a huge part of the problem if that’s the way you think.
/r/MensRights02/05/21 12:12 AM
1

I didn't dispute the facts. But you say the gender of the attacker isn't relevant, I say it is. We have a different view point. Let's move on.
/r/MensRights14/04/21 05:52 AM

Righto...but again, seems to be a contradiction that males assert that women have privilege because there is less chance of them being assaulted by men when they leave the house. What we seem to be describing is a problem men have perpetrating violence rather than a privilege women enjoy.
/r/MensRights14/04/21 04:57 AM
1

Let me put it this way, I don't see not being murdered as a privilege, its a right. I don't think it belongs in the original posters list.
/r/MensRights14/04/21 03:38 AM
1

Nah, that's not what I said and not what I meant. Nowhere did I equate that some murders don't matter as much as others.
/r/MensRights14/04/21 12:43 AM
-5

I'm suggesting it's not a privilege women have over men when it's overwhelmingly men doing the murdering of women.
/r/MensRights13/04/21 09:40 PM
-1

What? I said nothing of the sort. Are you replying to the right comment?
/r/MensRights13/04/21 09:16 PM
-17

I’m not sure being less likely to be murdered is a privilege given most murdered women are killed by men. It’s a bit like a man saying to a woman you are privileged because I choose not to murder you.
/r/MensRights12/04/21 10:48 AM
1

I agree...its a beat up. No one is claiming that.

It’s a “notion” that female led countries are doing better, is anyone other than the author (a male) of this article saying women might be leading better through COVID?

I disagree. And I'm not a woman btw.

So what was this guys problem? He had been offered 50% shared custody and rejected it...whats his deal?
/r/MensRights21/02/20 11:23 PM
1

There was outrage at the detectives comments because they intimate that there may have been "reasons" that this bloke burnt his family to death, ie other people were on part to blame. Which is a complete furphy, he chose to burn his family to death because he couldn't bear to relinquish control.
/r/MensRights21/02/20 10:37 PM
1

I think it's known why he did it, control. He couldn't bear the thought of her not being "his" and for that she and their children were burned to death.
/r/MensRights21/02/20 10:35 PM
5

The article is about DV, the numbers you are looking at are totals for all murders. What's missing in the context of perpetrators of total murders is the gender. What do you think that would show?
/r/MensRights21/02/20 09:50 PM
1

Not true at all.

I’ve just read the the relevant legislation, section 5c of the migration act, and it doesn’t mention violence against women at all, but it does cover offences against children. So go figure, I’m not sure about the sourcing of this story.
/r/MensRights03/03/19 01:12 PM

I didn’t inject it into the conversation, it’s central to the legislation we are discussing, it apparently states that those committing violence against women and children won’t be granted a visa. I agree with you, a woman violent to a child shouldn’t get a visa.
/r/MensRights03/03/19 12:54 PM

Ok, I respect your opinion, but I disagree. What about punching the 6 year old? You omitted that part of the conversation.

No, and no.
/r/MensRights03/03/19 12:42 PM

Well, maybe we can disagree. I think punching a woman or punching a 6 year old is worse than punching a man. I’m not saying punching a man is ok though, dont take me out of context.
/r/MensRights03/03/19 11:20 AM

I didn’t say that wasn’t the case. Some crimes are more heinous than others, domestic violence is one of them imho.
/r/MensRights03/03/19 10:37 AM
-8

You could read that article as saying you will be denied a visa for violence against women and children only, that not the case, it’s poorly written. Anyone with a jail sentence of twelve months or more won’t get a visa, along with other exclusion reasons as well. This might be relevant... https://archive.homeaffairs.gov.au/about/corporate/information/fact-sheets/79character
