I'm going there. No schadenfreude in this one. That photo creeps me the fuck out. In the, "I had some of these girls in homeroom at middle and high school," kind of way. The body language and tats give it away. She should be in therapy for whatever her mother (or grandmother) and, "stepdads," did. Instead, she's repeating the cycle, and by the time she's had enough experience to even be able to realize it, she'll be a grandma, having perpetuated the cycle all over again, for too long to help her…

How feel old: read 180+ comments, and not one went for the low hanging fruit of asking if she had family in Bel Aire (Kansas, of course).

The text implies that she's been "working" during their relationship. The deception made it guaranteed to end poorly, but if she's been cheating for money all this time, too, this will be a breakup to get out the lawn chairs and popcorn for!

Anything done to get her posted here is nothing - Hell, it's probably just a trendy attention grab. If you somehow manage to last decades, as a rocker and model, no matter how crazy that may have gotten, you could have at least been a caring presence until after he died. No way this woman isn't afflicted with some serious cluster B disorder(s).

Or hard living. The first thing that popped into my mind on seeing the picture was how she looked like a seasoned porn star. Ironically, I just searched for example portraits, and found what could practically be her skinny sister, with the same forced smile that says, "I'm really miserable," glassy staring-into-the-void eyes, and obviously too much makeup covering up the oncoming Wall, tweeting the same, "alphas only," sentiment: Gina Gerson. People don't just lose physical attractiveness as the…

IKR? My parents came up from working class backgrounds, and my mom worked to pay bills. She's got an insecurity complex over whether she was a good mother because of that stuff to this day. This woman's, "wasted youth," (in which, "youth," also deserves its own air quotes) would be a dream for many others.

Plus, not realizing how valuable that was for the kids. Nor how valuable it was for their family, and the kids' chances at a healthy life, that she was able to have and raise multiple kids during the ideal period for doing so, with a stable father around. Even if the cheating had happened, had she had an epiphany, stopped after just a few times, come clean about it, and stopped going to that gym, this story likely would have gone very differently. By continuing until she got caught, she showed t…

It's not, "so much," from those words. It's only exactly what the words were. They are enough to rule out the vast majority of legitimate reasons for a divorce, as sympathy for those reasons is valuable social currency. FI, if her former husband cheated, while she had not, she'd be shouting it from there rooftops (and not without cause).

Not anger - mockery. Because she was willing to divorce over married life getting boring. That's one of the shallowest reasons there can be to end a long relationship. She committed to stay through much worse than boredom, a couple decades ago.

Not anymore (or ever, actually - at best, they reduced serious symptoms /hospitalization). Regardless of where you previously stood on the shots, they're now like getting last year's flu shot. They only target the one spike protein, that is now too different in XiO. So you could get COVID and STDs.

That cave man stuff was awful. Cave men existed during and after a cataclysm, and we don't know anything about intended family structures, if any really existed. We know a lot else about cave men, because caves are often very good at preserving things. Even your bones go back into the cycle of life, in most places that we're comfortable living. Why does it matter? Well, there were times and places, going as far back as Greeks, in which exclusive marriage was not normal, especially for upper clas…

Or people on the left screaming that “sex work is real work” and then utterly demonising all the consumers as scum. (Only market where that seems to happen by the way) (ed.) Video games, movies, and comics would disagree, with sports catching up quickly.

It's not even that (not that isn't a good lesson), but the deceit. Whether the porn itself is a problem really depends on context. There are and have been some small time pros that would only do HC with their SOs, FI - add your caveats here, and no, that's not for everyone, but they remain[ed] faithful, while still getting cash for exhibitionism. On a smaller scale, amateur porn recorded and shared by a former BF wouldn't necessarily be the end of the world. Here, though, friends knew, and she i…

Facetune won't make those facial muscles look less slack, or those eyes less dead. I am gonna have to pull out some sympathy, here. Looking that dead at 18 is not too uncommon, but should be. People like this should be the fringes of society, one of the single digit numbers of town bicycles, and examples for parents and grandparents to scare their daughters with. She got dealt a bad hand. OTOH, things won't be any better for her kid, if she bounces from one Melina tee disheveled neighborhood ruf…

So many OLD women run businesses. I wonder what the breakdown is, between actually owning a business, being in a MLM, and being an independent contractor at a hair or nail salon?

I disagree, in a sense. People like her were always shallow and materialistic. They don't become more superficial, so much as they hide it less, and don't try to dress it up with romanticisms.

That's one of several reasons ugly will not get bred out, without Dune-level conditions. Hugh Jackman and his wife are the only sell known examples I can think, but at least for Gen X and older, it's not too uncommon for men with means, but not top 0.1% level means, to seem to marry down quite a bit, in attractiveness. But, of those wives I've known, they all seemed to be genuinely good people. Average or better looking girls begin to unknowingly suffer the tyranny of the free lunch (TANSTAAFL) …

That's why she chooses to do the race thing. But, read some of the quotes from her, in there. Rachel Dolezal was just unscrupulous and wanted the privilege of being POC. This woman is why asylums need to be brought back.

Reading the article (probably the first Daily Mail one I've read in 10 years), you're trying too hard to make sense of it. Her own words scream to me that she has some major personality disorder, like borderline.

She is proclaiming that she is valuable solely on her looks. ...while poorly using a face filter. In the forgotten tongue of the meme lords of old: "That's a shop. I can tell by the pixels."

What you're missing out on is a culture that would seem as though it was from another world, though was once common. I grew up in a very traditional social sphere. My parents, their parents, aunts (except one, I guess), and most of my family's extended friend groups, growing up, were not like that at all. They preferred time with their spouse and families. They were also fundamentally different, lacking in entitlement and ego. Today, the young women like those, that their husbands would want to …

TBF, it hasn't been one generation. It's been a gradual process, that began in the 50s, and had reached critical mass before 1990. It just took the next generation after that one to indoctrinate kids from the very beginning, in every facet if their lives, such that even good parents could hardly prevent it. Go take an hour, or however long it is, to watch the good old Yuri Bezmenov interview of yore. This is the fruit of several generations of effort to undermine our society, with many unwitting…

The photo is disturbing. It's fine for FB or IG, but not a hookup app. Then, there's that complete lack of proofreading, after stream-of-consciousness typing out a paragraph. I don't even care about everything else you could pick at, inside said paragraph, or the photo. This woman should not have dropped out of grade school.

It's deeper than that. They need to learn to delay gratification, and see their lives as part of a greater whole. The latter is what old school religious doctrine did very well. The former would require making these prospective mothers entirely responsible for themselves, even at the cost of the child's health, for the sake of the health of society as whole. That won't happen without an economic collapse, if course, so...

We're less hairy monkeys, that developed language, and impulse control. The sad reality is that it's the other way around: you were coerced, while being raised, to look beyond your near-term creature comforts, and to appreciate those that you had, realizing how fleeting they could be, and what it takes to maintain them. That very literally programmed your brain. Many people were not taught such, and in the long run, they are worse off for it - not unlike untrained dogs. And, by the time this wom…

But only because he was porn sick! I mean, he totally wasn't messed up before marrying her mom, and it was all porn's fault! I usually roll my eyes at any, "cope," business, but I'll be damned if, "porn sick," isn't just that, over and over again. While it can only be guessed from vagaries, here, her mom seems like quite the character, too. I'll go out on a limb and say she was a passive enabler, possibly even an active groomer, and the world would probably have been better off if both of them h…

If it's a competition of who carries the most pointless debt, I'll be happy to lose every time. I'm on the lookout for an older car than I have, right now, to get into a good balance of somewhat modern performance and useful features, and widely available parts, but without being beholden to the dealership's devices and software to diagnose and repair the thing.

I could only get to the social construct reinforcement bits. I zoned out, then. There is more data piling up every year showing that to be as wrong as when Skinner entertained it, and then found it to be false, before most of us were born. But, even before the author ran off the rails into an anti-science dimension, they were saying that good men are difficult to find, and difficult to keep, while also stating that ending that relationship with said good man, based just on short term feelings, i…

The corner cases aren't in their underwear on a dating site, either. I worked with a woman that had divorced, with kids, and was not the single mother type. She didn't talk much about it, but it was a clean break, with no custody battle, and no divorce raping. She dated strictly single fathers. She found one she got along with, and once things were going well, went out of her way to make sure her kids got bonding time with just him and his kids. They were living together, and had a wedding date …

While there would still be good arguments for waiting a couple more years, if she had married young, and seemed to be acting like a responsible human, the reactions would be very different. It's not, "how does she get such fast delivery service from the storks," but, "how can someone manage to raise a girl so poorly?" Nature gave her that whole neocortex to use, yet her prefrontal cortex and frontal lobes are not firing any neurons off.

Life was better back in days of yore, in daub houses and dugouts, with no running water, rampant debilitating diseases, widespread malnutrition, and small tribal wars wiping out whole ethnicities. Then those Christian White Men arrived, took over, and ruined everything. We need to undo all of that, and bring back the real Wakandas.

Some South American European colonies, and American Indian reservations. Before the Big Gulp, there was fry bread (it's delicious, too, made with lard in a cast iron skillet, even though it's basically calorie-dense poison).

Of course I haven't read his biography, or even knew he had one. I only know of him as much as most people (well, that have even heard of him), plus a Wikipedia refresher, and am otherwise applying generalities related to people with his sorts of talent.

Apparently people think Feynman was formally trained in how to build nuclear bombs Only in your mind. No one was taught those things. What those people learned in university was well-rounded knowledge, that you don't get following your own interests, and a high degree of enforced rigor. Feynman was likely forced to learn how to working with others, as well, as that's not something his background previously would have required, nor encouraged (and, it's rare that such high IQ people get along wel…

Even in that age range, a lot of us are in the same boat, now. Myself, and many if my peers, got stomped into the ground, socioeconomically, by the recession. We were just starting to get established, when the crash came, and ripped the floor out from under our feet. Those people we had for networking were taking on multiple jobs worth of responsibilities, with nobody hiring. Employers just saw long gaps in employment, and had many applicants to choose from, when that wouldn't work. The majority…

Why is waiting on or eating delivery food so often a part of the post composition formula? Delivery food service pops up over and over and over again in these posts, like it's symbolic. Is it supposed to have some specific effect on the reader, other than making them wonder if the OP cooks, and why they don't get take-out, to save money over time?

Oh, no doubt. IMV, the big takeaway is the completely different patterns of thought and behavior. Some women might not have the best luck at matching up what they attract, and what attracts them, right off the bat. But, it can still work out if they were really taking actions to find someone with which to have a family the whole time, rather than just giving up and settling as attention dries up.

Or even a little older. I know a few couples with great relationships where she was 25 or a bit over. But, knowing them forever (from the maternity ward, in one case, and day care on up for the others), I also know they did no crazy partying, no OLD, no frivolous traveling, etc.. They had only serious LTRs, with stand-up guys, some of whom we still treat as friends and family, starting from high school. Two of them are still, even after a few kids, solid 8s (one does fitness modeling and figure …

I normally just lurk around here for the LOLs, but you are so naive. I remember all the little black girls giving it up for anyone paying them attention, some pregnant, and most of the good little Catholic girls I went to school and church with spreading their legs or giving BJs for drugs and jewelry. This was 10-12. Plenty of time until that 20 year line to really slut it up, which most did. Not to say that weren't genuinely good ones, that decided to play the long game, and now have good lives…
