I knew a girl who managed to get into leadership. Pretty much all of her code was written by a guy who “helped” her. I swear, she was either at his desk, in a meeting, or nowhere to be found. It made no sense. Worth mentioning though. I do have a female coworker right now who is a fantastic developer and person. But I can’t help but think the girl who had her code written by someone else would have been fired if she had been a guy.

Shooting in the leg is a terrible strategy. You obviously have no clue how hard it is to hit such a small moving target. And if you do hit them in the leg you will either not stop the threat and they can still attack you or you'll hit an artery and they'll die anyways. Movies are not real life. Her being found in the hallway means very little in of itself. It is very possible, if not probable, that she was shot inside and started to run after getting shot and collapsing in the hall. The human body is incredibly resilient. People don't instantly drop and die like in the movies unless they er hit in very specific spots.

It really doesn't. Having consensual sex with your wife/husband in a car can land you on the sex offender registry. I'm sorry, only having sex with your wife will get you on the registry. The woman will likely face just some community service. Yet all sex offenders are treated pretty much the same, so the sex offender registry is pretty much meaningless. You can push for equality while having certain focuses. For example, I push for equality, but I focus on men's issues. I don't know much about Watson, but if my extrapolation is correct, then she can be pushing for equality while focusing on women's issues. Both genders face their own forms of adversity. It's alright to focus on one gender, as long as it's for actual equality, not for preferential treatment.

As a digital marketing firm, we build websites, we do more than build websites (like SEO, PPC, etc), but we still build websites. As a web developer sitting in my chair at the office in a shorts and a tshirt, I know developers can be casual. But I still dressed up for every single interview I applied for. You dress up for interviews. Always.

You should always dress up for an interview. I recently got hired at a digital marketing firm. For the interview I dressed up. Wore a tie for the interview and everything. While I was there for the interview I was the best dressed person in the office. Aside from when I've had to tag along for a client meeting, I haven't worn a collard shirt since. Depends on the firm. Most don't require a suit and tie, but interviewees should at least wear a collard shirt or something. I recently was hired at a web firm. Wore slacks, collared shirt, best, and tie for the interview. Got the job. Now I wear jeans or shorts and a tshirt. In the work force it is generally known that you dress up for the interview if you want the job. Even if it means you're the best dressed person in the office for the duration of the interview. My "team" priority is whether they can do the job or not - I don't give a care about their ethnicity or gender. If you hire people based on their skin or gender, you insult them because it means they were hired based on a physical characteristic rather than their skill.
