You realize it's that some studies show it as 23% while others show 12% instead, right? You don't get to take 12% of 23% just because you want to. But the position of every man on here has been that the wage gap is 0% or somehow favors women, so expect to be shouted down by them at any moment for not towing the line. Really? You think women get paid more than men and wield disproportionate economic and political power? I don't think the numbers are going to bear that out. I haven't attacked anyone or called anyone names and I haven't cursed at anyone, nor have I said anything hateful. You think acknowledging that male privilege exists is "degrading" to you? I'm white and I recognize that white privilege exists. I don't feel degraded by that at all. Yeah, if something that self-evident and tame feels like a savage attack to you, you're likely to feel attacked by everything. I think a better question might be - why are you so defensive?

That's not actually what I said, but feel free to re-read it. When someone says that women should be allowed to be in the military, should be subject to the draft, should be given equal pay for equal work, some men feel terribly attacked and degraded. Not sure why that is, though. *edited for clarity

Well, it doesn't. Neither does anti-racism work degrade white folks or gay-rights campaigns take anything away from straight folks. And yet some straight folks feel threatened when gay folks are allowed to marry. And some white folks are offended when black people are allowed to live in their neighborhoods. And some men are offended when women push for equal political and economic power. Not all, but some.
