ya im 26 and just starting to get it... it sucks because its super awkward and im clumsy sometimes. im often to nice or to mean and have a hard time finding a nice medium. not that im coming from success but ill tell you how im approaching this situation. i came from two terrible relationships and some random sex in between to realize that i need to validate myself because no one is going to do it for me. i need to validate myself so much so that others opinions of me are frivolous. to do this i…

You should consider that other dudes are going to want your lady and befriending them isn't always the best plan.

I would say for overall ability you're better off going out and talking to girls in person. Your failures will be more tangible and thus easier to correct. Of course, this is coming from someone who has done poorly with online dating. My roommate did much better than me and by that I mean he put his dick into a lot of crazy.

Maybe this "alpha male" isn't what you're looking for. Have you ever heard of the Dunning Kruger effect? I'll sum it up if you haven't. It is when someone is very confidant in their abilities and not smart enough to know that they aren't good. The flip side of that is someone who has great qualities but assumes everyone else is the same so they think they are run of the mill. Obviously the goal would be to find someone who is great AND knows it but sadly this world is filled with more of the for…

I'm having a hard time thinking of a way to put myself in a gay bar... As much as I think it would be an interesting experience I wouldn't go alone and I don't have many gay friends. I might be wrong but I would imagine that I'm not the only one in this situation is r/seduction.

Oh I agree, I just think its a good first step and an easy way to build confidence to progress to bigger better things.

I posted the article to shed some light on the idea that it might not be "so good they're bad" but "so good they don't realize they are good". The "get fit" part is the catalyst to squelch the negative second guessings of his mind and I think it is good advice. It's not so much correction as it is redirection.

Lol very good blindwombat, I definitely agree. I find, personally, that I have so much success when I am confidant but when I have been confidant in the past it was because of external influences so the confidence could be fleeting. Fitness, for me, has been a way to find confidence internally which is more long lasting but a slower incline. I read a lot of bro science in this subreddit but I think OPs advice is simple and a solution to a problem that him and I share. My opinion is that the simp…

But like anything it needs reenforcement. I don't know if you guys have noticed but there are some pretty static rules about seduction and that everything else is reiteration. The reiteration encourages, reminds, and reassures. This guy is breaking the horse that is his mind through fitness and ridding it like a badass. As a constructive and positive subreddit we should support this reiteration and join me in saying "right on dude! Lets all get superhero big and pick up some chicks!"

From reading the title I didn't agree with you but after reading your opinion I feel you're right. I guess you could look at it like sales. Say someone is selling apples and you want apples. Now, if everyone is selling apples then they need to compete for your business but if only one person sells apples they can sell it for whatever they want because if you're desperate for it you'll pay. If you treat every woman as if they are the only one selling apples then they set the price high and often …

I find it doesn't really matter what I say as long as I hold eye contact. Next time you're talking to a girl, even one you already know, try holding eye contact for 3 seconds or longer.

A backhanded way to get laid is exactly what it is. You might as well consider that person a write off if you just want to sleep with them or approach the situation for anything but long term relationship.

You know, I have kinda made this decision right now to not chase girls. I had some terrible relationships (especially the most recent) and now I am completely uncomfortable with being in a romantic relationship with a girl. It's a complete weight off my shoulders when I go out or meet new people because the plan is to not peruse so I don't have to worry about them liking me. I still would love to be in a relationship or even just get laid every once and a while but sometimes you have to step bac…

I don't think I would want to bring a girl I just met to my place nor would I date her if she was into that. I guess it depends on your ultimate goal, though.

I don't think that would be very hard if you put your mind to it. I'm very guilty of scheduling multiple people into one day. I'm completely unorganized so it all goes out the window but it is as simple as approaching woman you find attractive, chatting them up for 10 minutes and then asking them on a date.

Has less to do with smiles and more to do with eye contact but I follow a three second rule. If they hold eye contact for three seconds they are digging you, no questions asked

I did the complete opposite of this. I had a friend who I hung out with every day for years, we can call him John. We played video games and watched movies and just had a regular bromance for, mmm, let's say 8 years. Than one day I went to a party with him and it was just him and I sitting hanging out out of the way of everyone else, which was very typical. Another friend of mine, Jack, is kinda being a dink to a few people playing a drinking game. Nothing horrible and fairly harmless but John f…

I too am Asian and what I have found living in Canada is that I get extremes from "ya you're kinda cute" to "you're so fucking hot." it seems to me that the girl, at first, will either like Asian guys or right me off as not a suitable candidate. A little more convincing is needed for the latter but that's what this subreddit is for.

I would have beat him up Lol but actually I don't see anything wrong with how you acted. No one expects you to be a super hero and fix these things, you felt uncomfortable, you displayed your discomfort, you also stayed composed and displayed some poise. I would have responded the same way on a first date.

I think the confidence you receive from working on yourself contributes but picking up girls is definitely a skill and skills need to be practiced.

like these guys are saying, i would focus on fit over colour and style at first. im a pretty slender guy so i wear a lot more fitted clothes, slim to straight leg pants and proper fitted shirts. i guess the only real help i can give you because i have no idea what you like or what your body shape is is go to a book store and flip through a few magazines until you see something that you like and try and emulate that. if youre having problems with fit ask the people working at the store for help a…
