It's the same old 'they refuse to grow up' bullshit argument. I'm also in my 50's. I own my own home, paid-for pickup and motorcycle, and am self-employed. I have a Harley, and a Toyota pickup, but when I work (I'm self employed, and pickup and deliver repaired items), I drive a 'gold digger repellent vehicle'. A 1986 Pontiac 6000 4-door sedan. It runs fine, and since I rack up a lot of mileage with my business, it won't depreciate much. Customers don't see what I drive, so that doesn't concern me, and women pretty much ignore me when they see me driving around.
