That one doesn't "feel" male at all. So far it's been very FDS-aligned, IMHO. So I hope it's actual women. I have seen them ban "as a man" comments, sooo....

Honestly, I'm bisexual. I've thought of going full lesbian, but IT'S THE SAME DAMNED BULLSHIT. MEN ARE EVERYWHERE. WE CAN'T HAVE ANY PEACE.

He's bisexual. I'm bisexual, and I feel like he gives bisexuals a bad name. I hate the "bisexuals can't ever be monogamous" stereotype, and he totally said that, which is biphobic. 😬😬😬😬😬 dude, you just can't commit.

You don't have a Greek chorus called 'society' following him around and going all 'woe is the wrongdoer' on him whenever he breaks the social contract. As a lover of classics, thanks for the mental image. Now, how can we make this happen?

I changed both my middle name and my last name. I maintain it was a powerful act of self-creation. If you really want to do it, DO IT.

I noticed that their friendship started after a miscarrage too. DO NOT befriend men when you are going through a hard time. That's when you reach out to women, not men,

while this decision might cost them their (scrote) son, it will sure as heck make sure they don't lose their grandson. This stuff is absolutely generational. My grandfather remarried long before I was born and I still refer to his new wife and kids as his "new family". He left, my grandmother had to survive. It sent shockwaves. This action by OOP may save her DIL and grandbaby. Good for her.

So many men I date ask why I’m guarded, even my last ‘ex’ said he wondered when I’ll let him ‘truly in’ before he even committed to me. Why would you let someone in who hasn't committed to you? Why would you be truly vulnerable with someone who has made it plain they are ready to cut and run whenever they feel like it?

Exactly, the LVM who want to be catered to like a tropy wife, yet don't want to groom themselves! Make it make sense! At least a golddigger/suger baby understands its a trade smdh. What do they bring, not even a working dick. NOT worth the stress. I'm good, thanks. Let me keep my bed all to myself, and I'm in control of my finaces and my time. It's wonderful.

Like I do. No kids, no man, own my trailor, not rich but don't need to be, have dogs and a cat, rent a room to a older lady, and I am going back to school. I'm succeeding and working hard and I'm doing great. Most of the drama in my life comes from male family members and their pick me conquests that I try to keep a distance from, a few pickmes acquaintances I have known for a long, long time that I let think we are deeper friends than we are just to avoid crap.

I heard a COWORKER say that this keeps coming up for her, about her husband, who she says "doesn't meet her emotional needs". He's not horribly abusive like some of her exs, but they have two young children and they both work full time and he still expects her to do all the housework. I share FDS wisdom and standards with her sometimes, gently, without directing her here (she's a good person but definitely not ready yet), but I never said that specific phrase, so I was shocked and happy to hear …

I still talk to my brother sometimes. He told me the truth about our father and we both got ostracized. In some ways he had it harder than me, he was closer to the monster and still managed to do what was right. Safer to protect pedophiles. Its's why a lot of people don't come forward. I lost my entire family and don't talk to anyone. My cousin couldn't bear to cut anyone off, and instead she drank herself to death. I remind myself of that in moments of weakness. Better alone than in toxic systems.

For very poor women, they are actually a DRAWBACK to having shelter. I'm just saying that here in the working class, I see my sisters having a lot less problems on their own. The men drink gamble cheat and spend money they don't have, and being poor and single is just easier once you learn to manage money. Its just easier when no one can fuck up you'd budget but you. No LVM is gonna blow it all. Yes it's lees income and its not easy, but ladies, YOU have control of your bank account.

I think it's more tiring in the beginning when it's not your natural mode of being (yet), when you're rewiring your old habits. I hope that eventually it will become easier and more instinctual. I am somewhat guessing, but I can extrapolate from how I have learned healthier habits in other areas of my life. It's a process. SIGH.

Vetting is tiring, if you're used to letting yourself be swept up the fun feelings in the beginning. It's a mindset shift. However. It's far less exhausting than ending up in a soul-sucking, draining relationship. I'd rather vet than be drained dry.

Yeah it says he called. He had this worked out, and he knew it would work because she IS a 'play by the rules' girl, and probably couldn't have imagined someone doing this awful. Sad. This is why we ALWAYS have to think the worst of men. Because the consequences of NOT doing so are devastating.

Yeah I normally block, but if I had to get something, this conversation would be in text. If he CALLED and asked me to come get it, I could say yes, and then confirm with text later. "Just to confirm, you want me to come pick up my clothes at X time? Still good?" If he doesn't respond, not going.

Maybe, but the opposite is certainly true. A bad relationship being used by someone who doesn't love you, who in fact hates you, will not lead you to loving yourself. And your chance of stumbling onto a good one with your self-esteem is so low is astronomical.

Someone in one of the more libfem subs referenced it and said that it was the female equalivant of redpill, and the FDS literally wanted short men, poor men, and men with small dicks to die. That sounded a little extreme but I thought I'd see what all the fuss is about. Lo and behold, it's not eugenics and hate, but women supporting women and having boundaries!

They hate valentine's because your coworker or sister's bf or husband might do something amazing and make him look bad. Its a way to cut your expectations down and make you feel like you have to act "cool". And yes, you are usually never romantic the rest of the year.

He drinks too, I don't know if it's alcoholic levels, but, it felt like too much. And he admitted he watched porn and it was a problem for her in their marriage. There was a lot. He was funny and could be very charming, when he wanted to be. Of course it wasn't all bad or we don't fall for this shit. But after a while I started to see that he had a very shallow personality and that he had no ambition to better his situation. I don't even mean financially, there is just so much that can be done. …

I was pursued by a close friend's widower a month after she died. I'm ashamed to say I fell for it and let him lead me on for a few months. He also admitted later that I was just there, helping with the kids, and he was trying to replace the "woman in his life" and it wasn't even about me. Men WILL replace you.

I was friends with his wife before she died, so I already loved his kids. If he had been a complete stranger I don't know if this would have happened. I think it's something we need to internalize. Love is a series of repeated actions. It is not a feeling. What the husband "feels" is comfortable. His life is easy. We only have one word for Love in English. The ancient Greeks had, I think, 6. Words give context to the world and I think it's important. What they have, in Greek terms, is Pragma. You cannot build a life together without Pragma. What he has with Jane is Eros. Its lust. Neither is truly Love. Not the kind of love that we at FDS woul…

Oh boy, that's kind of complicated. First of all, I had to learn to say no to management, and not let them creep into my life and take over. No, I can't always take an extra shift. Sometimes I will but sometimes no, and my boss used to try to emotionally manipulate me but not anymore. But really, its professionalism thing that I'm still learning, and I'm not sure it can really be taught to someone outside the feild. Okay, so, my residents have dementia. Be careful, next they will be "I can't help but leave you when you get cancer, it's in my DNA to be uncomfortable around illness!"

Adult adoption was not unusual in the past, but it was usually men adopting other men, because they didn't have sons, and because women could not inherit (patriarchy). I'm only a few 1:12 in and that guy's facial expression is NOT a fatherly one, and the poor wife is obvisouly upset. edit: I hate this guy, I hope that Christy kicks him out and she and Ielana raise that baby on their own. Tolkien had Celeborn (a male elf) call out the sexism of the term when advising a human male, I think Boromir, and told him to heed the tales of old wives, "for perhaps they keep the lore alive which you in your high-mindedness would have forgotten otherwise" (I'm paraphrasing slightly, that's from memory.) SIGH. Yeah Lord of Rings was a product of its time and had some things race-wise that hasn't aged well, but I will always love Middle-Earth.

My ex laughed when my brother got his then-gf a promise ring and said they were for teenagers. A year and a half later, when I wanted to move forward and he didn't, we started to fight about getting married. Eventually he said "would you accept a promise ring instead of an engagement ring, as a step forward?" I threw his words back at him and told him he wasn't serious about me. Y'all he was 31 and we had been together for over 2 years. It took me another couple of months to leave him. But, yeah…

See, patriarchy is the the only reason I'd be reluctant to dare an Asian man, and the way I'd be expected to care for his parents in most Asian cultures. I'm attracted to many Asian men, and if he's a practicing Buddhist, that's a bonus for me. But, I'm not looking to basically be a slave to any man, and especially to a man and his family. Seen too many weird pickme mom-coddled son dynamics with WHITE families, no thanks.

Yeah, those were unnatural groups thrown together. In the wild, wolf packs are families lead by the mother and father. Of course I'm learning new vetting skills here but haven't had much chance to put it into practice, and I get too excited over the bare minimum. Dating is exhausting and I'd rather put my engery elsewhere.

It sucks for those of us low income women who may be stuck here. I'm currently working on nursing school prereqs, I'm not sure what immigration policies are like, but if I can take my dogs, I'm seriously considering fleeing after I become a nurse, get a few years experience, and save some money.

I still feel guilty about that and it's sick really. Trying to flip it around to feel pride. That's awesome of her.

Because I was one. When we spilt up, I was homeless and he bought a house. (Yes, unmarried and living together, another mistake, but when we got together I was 18 and he was 30. I was naive.) Men are users. They don't respect the ride or die. They want to be admired and they don't want to be seen when they struggle. They will trade up. Seen it happen so many times. Work on your own career and life.

I'm glad you did. I was pointing that out for the other readers in the thread. Imagine what he would have done if they went on a first date and she didn't want a second one. She should have just blocked without saying anything, so that he wouldn't be so mad to post this screenshot. But another lesson. Sigh.

Oh yes, I tried to be clear when I said it was toxic and a fallback. Maybe I'm still used to sugarcoating my speech. But yeah I get it. I am not advocating using this INSTEAD of real healthcare. But you know what? Having them squirreled away under my bed makes me feel better and calmer whenever I see the politics get out of control, and I believe in being prepared in all things!

So is coat-hangers. I think it's safer than sticking a bent metal hanger up into the uterus .... but, again, this is an EMERGENCY FALLBACK PLAN IN CASE ROE VS WADE IS REPEALED. that's all. That's why I want to know, to be as in control as I can in a shitty horrible situation. I also would probably choose the others OVER pennyroyal for the reasons you mention, and I have friend more well versed that myself that I could check in with in an emergency. I'm very sorry that happened to you, btw.

Pennyroyal, betony, black cohosh, blue cohosh root. I am still learning herbal medicine, remember this is dangerous, it's just a last ditch precaution. I don't have the exact dosages memorized I have them written down somewhere. Edit: pennyroyal is toxic enough that it shouldn't be used in combination with the others. Please don't poison yourself. I'm putting this out there so you can start your own research. Be safe, and read a lot about it!

I stocked up on abortion inducing herbs a while ago. They are a few years old though so I probably need to order more. Herbally induced abortions are not exactly safe, but I'd rather go that way than a coat hanger. (hint: when reading any old medical herbal book. Anything to "bring on a woman's course's", ie menstruation, means getting rid of pregnancy) I'm on birth control. This is just a way for me to be in control, no matter what happens legally.

I'd be worried about going home with a woman and, surprise! She has a boyfriend or husband. But I'm bitter and have been hit on by acquaintances I knew had boyfriends several times, usually right after a breakup when I was emotionally vulnerable. I want to check out the local gay bars here, but I'm worried about running into unicorn hunters. I mean, I'm bisexual too and I present femme, lesbians have every right to be skeptical of me.

Then the sinking feeling: you could be anyone. As long as a woman is cute, agreeable and fun to be around, that’s all he needs. He’s not interested in her inner life and what makes her unique. She’s filling the “girlfriend-shaped hole” and it’s like he’s just ticking boxes off in his life. Nice gf, check. Then marriage. Have some kids maybe. Check, check. Been there. And Guys will act like that's a virtue, that they "aren't picky". No, you don't love ME, I'm not a PERSON to you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/11/21 04:35 AM

"Well then I might as well have kids" when I express that I'm quite happy living in a real house with running water... it boggles the mind. because they don't expect to be caring for them. at all.

>like they can't even wait to get home to "gossip" about me, which I find SO weird. People who do this, men OR women, literally have NOTHING going for them in their lives. nothing to talk about except other people. Its a huge LV trait I've noticed. I like to talk about hobbies, activities, spirituality, ideas, animals, school, STUFF I DO, etc .... if someone can only talk about other people, and its usually negative, they really have nothing in their lives. It's really sad.

It's like most women are in a perpetual state of confusion and trauma. Honestly, I think most of us kind of are. Realizing the truth, the enormity of the oppression, is so painful, its easier to convince yourself YOU'RE in the wrong. And all of society is telling you are.

It is. Maybe it's because some men are truly naive but good at their core, and they just don't have the same challenges as us and don't realize what we face. Maybe. Thank you! And honestly, the only reason we think of Christianity as "white" is because the indigenous religions of Europe were soo throughly stamped out. Did you know that St Patrick wasn't even Irish? He was ethnically Italian, born in Roman Britain, and he HATED the Irish. Driving the snakes from Ireland is a metaphor for driving paganism out. The Deities that were too beloved by the people to be stamped out, became saints. Like the Goddess Bridged becoming Saint Briget. But yeah, my whole re…

Yes! I completely agree. Literally EVERYTHING is sexualized and it's sickening. Can't we admire the art and skill and beauty and SPIRITUAL POWER of an indigenous cultures tribal dances without it becoming "I want sum sex"? On a different but related subject. I'm Pagan, so I'm in the position of trying to reconstruct an ancient way of being and de-colonize my own mind. Sexuality is sacred for us but it's not a free-for-all (or shouldn't be. There's a lot of crap out there.) Can't we respect the b…

I'm not sure I agree. It's still sexualization. 100 years ago burlesque would have been extreme. Just because the world is desensitized to violence and sex doesn't make it wholesome. I mean I can see your argument, but .... I don't think we are in the right culture for it. Maybe in a hypothetical Star Trek future where men and women are truly equal. But not now.

The crazy thing is belly dancing was originally something to reduce contraction pain as a woman was nearing giving birth, wasn't it? When was the last time you saw an actual pregnant belly dancer? This was something that was originally by women for women and was sexualized by men. Cuz of course it was. 😒🙄

Halfway through this episode and I just had to comment. I read that article when it first came out and was horrified. Ladies I am so grateful to you!! 🙏 my Gods i feel like society has been making me crazy and you're a breath of fresh air. I don't know how else to explain it. Knowing other women feel the same way as me has been incredible. I've so alone the last few years. This podcast is so needed.

That's smart. And it's true in my case. I regularly have lunch with a couple of female friends and my brother and I talk on the phone all the time. I buy gifts for my friends kids and they are like my nephews and neice. I do have my own found family, I'm just not close with my bio parents.

Okay, for those of us who don't have any contact with our families, how do we handle this? I honestly do not know what to say during the small talk about family. My brother and I are pretty close but with strangers I sometimes imply that my parents are dead. It's way easier.. the mother of a close friend rents a room from me, and I'm pretty sure that the neighbors think she's my mom. She sorta is so I don't care what the neighbors think. But if I was dating someone for 6 to 9 months.....that fee…

Thank you. I've found something that works. Certain types of bikini swim tops that tie in the back do the job but aren't so tight to give me sensory issues and panic attacks. The covered up thing screams victim of sexual abuse to me. Speaking from experience. (Sort of. I always feel like I have to qualify it since I wasn't "really" raped, but I have had a therapist tell me I absolutely abused.)

My brother proposed to his wife after 2 weeks, and married her after 6 months. They had been friends for a year before going out. He wouldn't live together unmarried. At the time I was such a pick me that I found it alarming. They are still together 3 years later and seem happy. (I am not saying he's automatically HV. He has both HV and LV traits. The most HV traits is a willingness to learn and change. Through his wife he seems to be realizing just how trash most men are.)

I did listen to 2 of her songs on repeat for a couple months to give me the strength to completely ghost my last situationship (deal with it and hi, it's me) so I'm willing to forgive some of the bullshit for that. Yes, a lot of it is performance, but the music industry is still run by men so it's not a surprise. In some ways its like we are on the edge of an awakening and this is part of that cultural engery.

The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business by Charles Duhligg. It doesn't talk about the porn at all, but the stuff is EASILY transferable. it talks about the PROCESS of how habits are formed and how we break them (short-hand? we don't. we replace the bad/negative habit with something else, but the stimulus is still there - we just reroute it to another type of action). It uses smoking, food, gambling, etc, but I mean, on the neurological level, its almost the same. I found th…

Porn addiction as well. Had a man reach out to me after I posted in some of the antiporn/nofap subs. I shared because they are supposedly trying to better themselves so I thought I'd share how their porn addiction affects the women in their lives, and also my own struggles. I found two main responses to men from OLD finding out I work in dementia care so far. Back when I used lyft, if I was riding alone, i would cancel as soon as a male driver accepted the job, before they got there. I kept asking for a ride until a female driver took the job. There's a picture that pops up. First time I did this I was coming back from a dental appointment so I was a bit out of it. Honestly .... vibrators usually don't do it for me. I don't know if I'm broken or what. That's part why I've fallen prey to this in the past. I think I just get too in my head and can't relax. It's easier for me to let go with a person. So I just kinda accepted that I'm probably not getting any orgasms for a few years.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/10/21 07:54 PM

Even if the glow up is overall, often, a LV man will pursue anyway, because she's "fuckable" now, but also they enjoy leeching off of a woman and sucking the joy out of her life. LV people (scrotes and Pickmes) are emotional vampires.

Yeah pretty much. He still "wants to be friends". I cut him off and blocked him on everything. I was stupid and tried to communicate how much he had hurt me. I know, not FDS. It sucks because I used to enjoy that show. It was nice to see "my people" portrayed, even horribly. Rage-quit when Bernadette was mantiplulated into having a baby. Haven't gone back. This was pre-FDS mind you, I think I'd have a harder time with it now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/10/21 02:50 PM

Oh he would be the last to defend my father. We say to each other "don't be dad", lol. No matter what the subject is, if my father would do it, it's probably a terrible idea, or horribly immoral. There's been times I've had to tell him, kindly, look that's not you talking, that sounds like dad. He went away pissed off but came back and said i was right and he was sorry and that prying him from his mind was difficult. That's what happens when you're raised by a narcissist. We have had to deprogra…

I just told my brother today he may be the only man I ever let close to me. After our father and the amount of endless shit we have need through, he said he doesn't blame me at all.

Even if he didn't cheat, women live longer than men and will die alone anyway.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 11:54 PM

It might be a little less discouraging for folks.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 11:42 PM

I'm so tired of this game. :( I've decided to stay single for a while. Maybe a year. I need some healing time. I'm too angry right now. I may try again, but its hard.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 11:40 PM

They change their tune when they have daughters. That's what convinced me that men know. They just don't care.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 02:11 PM
12

It's a stoic self-development thing, yes. I actually like Marcus Aurelius and I hate that fuckbois have turned it into "DON'T SHOW ANY EMOTION, EVAR!!!" He would laugh at them. I mean, I have been homeless before. That was definitely involuntary hardship. There is a balance between self care and being prepared and knowing I can handle whatever comes my way. Voluntary hardship is used by bros to mean like cold showers instead of warm, to condition their bodies and mind. Cold showers have benefits…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 01:34 PM
41

A true voluntary hardship person wouldn't be looking for a girlfriend to leech off. I mean, a FWB. Unless she's rich, then he'll try to lock her down.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 02:41 AM
10

Well he was plain evil and abusive in lots of ways. But for some reason that one memory really sticks out to me. The total lack of respect shocked me, and then acted like I was being ridiculous! He might have been fine living in filth, but I wasn't.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/10/21 11:30 AM
43

Ugh. Remembering my father making a ham at my house once, and you know the plastic bag it comes in with all the meat juices?? He just threw it ON THE FLOOR. The trash can was in an awkward place in that kitchen, but he knew where it was and it would have only been a few steps away. I pointed to it and told him uh huh, you aren't leaving that on MY floor! Pick it up. He rolled his eyes and acted like I was being dramatic but he did it, after I had to yell at him. Disgusting pig.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/10/21 02:05 AM

But they are too selfish to return the favor.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/10/21 12:46 PM

This sounds really really good, but I don't think I can emotionally handle it right now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/10/21 03:40 AM

Everyone tells me how lucky I am to have beautiful naturally thick hair ... well the hair on my head isn't the only hair that's thick! Yeah right white women are celebrated for body hair!

One of my friends calls me Hermione. I'd like to be more of a Kira Nerys, but I'll take it.

As someone from a shitty abusive family with a narc pedophile for a father, I dread question 4.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/10/21 02:15 AM
26

Crap, I didn't turn in my old brain and get a new one when I lost 70 pounds and grew my hair long! I knew I was forgetting something!!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/10/21 02:12 AM
20

I broke up with the guy who said I had too much anxiety for retail, let alone the medical feild. Now I have been working in a dementia home since January, which not even every nurse can handle! And I'm doing my prereqs and will hopefully apply to nursing school next year! Most of my anxiety slowly went away after the breakup, even as I piled more stressful situations onto my plate. Huh. Wonder where all that was coming from! 🤔

ARE YOU FUKING KIDDING ME
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/10/21 02:03 AM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/10/21 01:59 AM

Jesus Christ, they think it's okay to tell you you look like sex worker to them??? That's basically what the first one is saying. I'd probably respond "if that's the very first thing you thought, you watch too much porn."
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 11:15 PM

Oof that third one

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 11:05 PM

Those little things are amazing when you experience them, when you're not used to it. Man one of my ex-scotes had some HV traits that I do miss. Like the backrubs he gave. Shame he had no ambition, miles of mommy issues, and fixated on threesomes. Still super glad I left. But it's just sad how he seemed AMAZ-INNNGG because of these little things.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 10:58 PM

I think the biggest red flag is "how a HOT girl thinks" ..... like if you weren't attracted to her than her mind and thoughts have no value? That's what makes it sound like the only reason he wants to understand how you think is so he can mantiplulate you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 02:51 PM
11

I always thought a college degree didn't matter, I don't have one and I'm a very curious person who does things like take an old Norse class (no credit) for fun. I took for granted that there must be other people like me. Now that I'm in my 30s, I completely understand this standard, because maybe I am the exception, as arrogant as that sounds. 😅 of course now I'm going back to school, so hopefully in a few years I'll be able to count myself as a graduate.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 09:43 AM

I'm not explaining. I'm tired of being drawn into "not all men" debates. I'm too busy for that shit. If they don't get it, they don't WANT to.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 02:05 AM

Wow I've been wondering if I should watch that show, mostly cuz I like Jared Padalecki. Thanks for letting me know to avoid the fuck out of it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 01:02 AM

I actually like it, as long as he doesn't try to grab my hair and force my head down. If that had been my very first experience, I would probably never do it again. It also depends on a number of factors. If he's too large, or curved the wrong way, it's uncomfortable. If he's the type to hold out and TRY to last a long time during a blow job, it's NOT fun. Honestly it makes me feel powerful, but only if he recipcates. If he doesn't go down, than you can't help but feel resentful. No Bueno. Never…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/21 12:03 AM

Good for her. He admitted to rape fully knowing the law. Ruin his career. No mercy.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/10/21 05:08 PM
21

OMFG you're back!! YaaaY I was having withdrawals! I tried to post on a few feminist subs and even on an antipornography one, and there's always someone DEMANDING I debate them and boy, I don't have time! And yes, we aren't settling for "fine" anymore. I've worked like crazy on myself, and I can't help but be bored or even repulsed by someone hasn't done the same.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/10/21 03:44 PM
199

And men can't figure out why we don't want to ask a guy out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/10/21 10:45 AM
49

Yes, I understand women with this story more than the upper middle class white women who are advocating for sex work, especially because those ones have the power to deny clients and many of the lower class ones just don't.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/10/21 09:35 AM
2

No, unfortunately there's a lot of men who don't value their health and eat like shit. His mom would buy him nice salads and stuff to try to get him to eat well. If I didn't eat it, it would go bad. Just rot in the fridge. For a while I would not eat it because it was SUPPOSED to be for him, but ....

Seriously! You got a great story now tho!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/21 01:37 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/21 01:35 PM

His family will probably justify it. He got away with this behavior for years. My grandmother told me more information about how twisted my bio father is when I explained to her why I was cutting off contact with him, said she understood, but he was still her son. Well she fed him information about me. She knew full well what he was and wasn't trustworthy, and choose him. This wife should absolutely get rid of the scum, but don't expect support from his family. People can't reconcile it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/21 12:30 PM

That's actually a comforting thought. They're gross and need to die, but at least there aren't that many of them?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/21 12:26 PM

That MUST be it!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/21 02:50 AM

does scary actions, chasing a woman, huffing like he's incredibly angry, calling her a dumb bitch "WE ARE NOT SCARY!!!" Actually thinks this is a checkmate. No sir, I'm scared of ALL men, of all colors. And if she WAS a racist, which I doubt she was, you didn't change her mind!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/10/21 12:37 AM
18

I think he's sick actually. I ran into him at a gas station a few years ago and was shocked at how terriable he looks. (I don't know if he didn't recongize me or if he just pretended not to, but I didn't want to talk to him anyway.) He looked jaundiced, skin waxy, eyes sunken, his hair is ... that dry brittle look? He drank insane amounts of mountain dew and lived off of pizza rolls and corn dogs. I remember being glad I left before I had to become his caregiver.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 10:28 PM

Wanna know the truly bad thing? I'm a student and I don't really have time to read for pleasure. I just kinda buy books and stroke their covers and admire them and put them on the shelf. 😅 one day....
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 08:20 PM

It truly scares me what will be normal and what will be kinky in another 10 years.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 08:17 PM

Sometimes we have to learn the hard way. As much as you want closure, just suddenly become to busy to hang out with him. Blocking and deleting won't work if you have known him so long, I assume he knows where you live? Do what they do. Stop calling. He may never notice, and if he does, "Sorry, I have just been working so much", etc.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 06:40 PM
26

Don't try to educate a man. Maybe if you were related to him, but even then. They aren't learning from the arguing, they aren't engaging with new ideas. The enjoy the conflict for its own sake. They like upsetting you.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 06:06 PM

Honestly it's worked to sucker me into a relationship. But quiet guys are just as bad, they just don't have the confidence be that awful on the front-end.

Yeah this was test too. If she accepted the apology, it gets worse from here. Good for her for cutting all contact. This sucks cuz I love camping.... but men are terrorifying why would I want to be alone in the goddamned woods with them?

This is my first semester back to school! I'm working on prereqs for nursing, and he told me my anxiety was too bad to work retail full time, let alone go into the medical feild. But the Last year I've been working in dementia care and handling it just fine. I'm so excited! Here's to dropping dead weight and leveling up!

Raises ✋ Got too old and fat for my first boyfriend at 23. Was with him since I was 18 and he was 30. Pre FDS obviously. I asked him out. Relationship became open, he pursued (and was often rejected by) younger girls, I found out men who were better in bed did exist, even had a second boyfriend take me on a river boat cruise and romantic dinner deal when he didn't have a lot of money, he still put effort into me. Did some things for attention I'm not proud of, while old scrote got more and more …

I never understood how a woman having consensual sex was horrible, but a man raping his vulnerable young daughter was forgivable. WTF is wrong with conservative values.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 04:21 PM

True. But the good news is mental health often gets better after the first few months of breakup sadness. I blossomed in the last year after getting rid of my scrote.

Lives with his mother in his 30s, despite making way more money than me The mommy issues, shiiittt. Slept in her bed till he was 7 (Okay not his fault that's hers, but) and was afraid to move out because it would be "abandoning" her. She was, of course, not sick and it wasn't like he was taking care of her. After 2 and a half years, he had a key to my house but I didn't have a key to his because his mommy wouldn't let him. I would have to wait outside like a dog if I got to the house before him,…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 04:08 PM
85

Me too. It shocks me how things changed so quickly in 10-15 years. I don't dare identify myself as "kinky" now, and I ended up feeling that way before I found FDS. I couldn't verbalize why, but now I can.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 03:59 PM
54

I'm going to admit I'm one of the ones unlearning bad habits. I was raised by abusive Mormons, and it was "don't have sex ever" but also "Jesus has forgiven your uncle for repeatedly raping your cousin, SO we have to as well" ( 🤢🤮🤮🤮) so when you finally get away from that type of toxicity and find the seemingly woman-centered pleasure embracing Libfem stuff on college campuses, it feels like the right thing. It's the opposite of what you know in your bones is wrong, so it has to be right. I read…

Holy shit that's the perfect way to describe it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 03:21 PM

Seriously. I do sometimes have panic attacks, but guess what really cleared up my anxiety and waking up crying every day? Dumping the guy pressuring me for threesomes!! Gee, guess my mental health wasn't inherently horrible after all.

Or if their praise is only the nice things you do for others. Not, wow you went back to school in the middle of a pandemic! Got a book published! Paid off your house! I was so proud of all those and all the praise I got was sex related and serving others related. (I was the co-editor of an anthology, not the sole author, but it was a LOT of work, and my own work was in it as well.)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/10/21 02:51 AM

I’d much rather spend time home alone doing my own thing than all the time primping & prepping for some lvm Neanderthal to hump me for 20 seconds or two hours At least the 20 seconds is over quick and you can go do something else. But the longer sessions then make you think there is something wrong with you, because "lasting longer" is what all the focus is always on, right?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/10/21 08:38 PM
36

And pickmes falling right into the trap. The sad thing is this trap is EASY to fall into if you come from an abusive home, no father, abusive father, emotionally distant, or whatever. You end up subconsciously thinking that ANY affection and pleasure is better than none. I have been there in my teens and twenties. The "daddy issues" trope may be sexist and used against women, but it exists FOR A REASON. Because its true. I still have to fight those instincts sometimes. Really, male validation is…

No. I am currently on a waiting list. I have used therapy services before, but not specifically greif counseling. 2020 was hard on everyone, and a lot of therapists and mental health people quit, not just nurses. I have had 4 therapists within a year and a half and at the time,, I couldn't handle trying to get to know another one and feel comfortable with her and have her quit again. It's a rough time. I'm soooo sorry you went through this! This also shows the difference between men and women. Last situationship, the male friend was a recent widower. We were both grieving my friend, his wife. Yeah I'm going to be celibate for at least a year. I need to refocus my engery and love on myself and that requires a "dick detox" time. I need to have a time when I'm not thinking about men in anyway, no longing or pining or anything. After a year I will reassess if I want to wade into dating, or keep leveling up on my own. Also protip: don't ever tell a man this, even one who you think is a "friend". He will see it as a challenge. That's how my last situationship started!! Asshole. I restarted…

The last guy i dated had ED, and I don't know if it was PI or from nerve damage from an injury he had a work years ago, it took him a few years to walk again ( I vaguely knew him, saw him at parties, knew of this, it was not a story). He attempted to sleep with 2 other women during our not-relationship. I was so stupid and didn't make him use condoms either, because I liked him and he had these issues. My bestie is a single mom of 3, who left her LVM husband who had been cheating on her their entire relationship. Dickface drew out the divorce as long as he could, too. I'm frankly in awe of her. I know how much you guys do!

Yeah I'm not really childfree, although I used to consider myself childfree. I have realized I called myself childfree because I thought that ALL men were LV and would be another child I would have to raise. Good people don’t need to tell others that they’re good people, there’s evidence of that. Just like men who feel the need to tell you that he’s “a nice guy” are anything but, a guy who is actually against porn wouldn’t bring it up unprompted for GoodBoy points. I think all of us have made this mistake in the past. Unfortunately.

I understand trying to make it work after sleeping with someone. Otherwise your body count goes up and if you don't try, you're (perceived as) a whore. If you try and it doesn't work, its his fault but you tried, you can still be seen as a good woman.
