Alimony should be abolished, in all countries. Only children (fathered by the husband) should be supported. There should be a full and final settlement, between the husband and wife, following divorce.

I heard this story a few years ago: ‘A US Navy aircraft carrier arrived home 1.5 days early, after a 6 month tour of duty during the Vietnam War. Some men were surprised to find another man living at home, when they surprised their female partners. It’s believed that about one third of the married men onboard, divorced their wives as a result.
