Several reasons actually. Most of it comes down to an accumulation of the girl bonus over several blocks of graded work. Basically, in about a dozen countries, it was found in multiples schools that teachers give girls higher grades for similar work. It was also found that this difference almost disappears (and sometimes even flips especially in STEM) when standardized anonymous tests were taken.

I was also introduced to blatant misandry in elementary school too. I fully empathize with you bro.
