I'm confused, who ever said she was drunk? Yes, it would be wrong if she were, but this needn't be the case at all. People can get a ride home without being drunk, but while still not being quite sober to drink. In any case, she may get a ride without being quite impaired enough to drive. Also funny that it's suddenly okay to have sex with her if you are also drunk yourself.

"I'm ___, by the way. Nice to meet you" I didn't notice how often I do this until you pointed it out. It's such an effective way to break the ice somehow. It changes us from strangers to acquaintances, and any subsequent interactions are much easier to reach for - including asking for her number.

#3 - Exploring ^So much this. If you're in a large city, just walking around and exploring is the ultimate cheap date, IMO. (Though, I guess that's not exactly what the article's author had in mind, considering he talks about bringing a flashlight and map.) I live in NYC, and during good weather, we just walk around and chat. Eventually we get food/coffee/whatever if we feel like it. Or to my place depending on how it went. :) Walking beside the girl creates a large number of opportunities for p…

I think the reality is that the arrow is actually closer to the bottom end of the spectrum than many care to admit. Women don't want a nurturing man, they want a man who has his own interests and ambitions which rank at least as high as the woman in question. This is the polar opposite of everything shown in classic guy-gets-girl movies. Anecdotes from many here, and from my own experience seem to indicate that guys on the bottom end of the spectrum tend to get laid a lot more, and are more attr…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuro-linguistic_programming The balance of scientific evidence reveals NLP to be a largely discredited pseudoscience. Scientific reviews show it contains numerous factual errors,[3][4] and fails to produce the results asserted by proponents.[5][6] According to Clinical Psychologist Grant Devilly (2005),[7] NLP has had a consequent decline in prevalence since the 1970s. Criticisms go beyond lack of empirical evidence for effectiveness, saying NLP exhibits pseudoscien…

Famous psychologist Steven Pinker wrote a whole book debunking the blank slate idea as inconsistent with modern scientific understanding. It's called, appropriately, The Blank Slate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
