When he says cyclical he is referring to cyclical history.

I don't agree with this at all. Her messaging towards men has been a marked improvement from where the democratic party was 4 and 8 years ago.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/11/24 03:06 PM

It is a direct contradiction to how they speak and they're too cowardly too admit it.

If you read any of my other comments you'll see that I agree that seeking empathy on the internet from random women is pointless. I'm just trying to explain what the point of these posts really is to the women here because it seems like a lot of them don't understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/24 12:07 AM

I'll quote the redpillers here "look at what they do, not what they say". They may use hypermasculine language but they act in a manner that is anything but. They love to complain about dating and try to debate women with the goal of getting them to validate their struggles. They spend more time typing aggressively than they do actually trying to escape the matrix like the claim to. They need to practice actual stoicism and realize that seeking empathy from women on the internet is a pointless e…

It seems like a lot of people in life tend to do that though. I think that is pathetic as a man to seek empathy from women on the internet anyways but redpill guys will continue to attempt it regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 08:08 PM

I didn't endorse his methods, I'm just trying to explain what he is failing to say. I personally find seeking empathy on the internet to be cringe and pointless. I've just never seen that approach get used here in a discussion. I think taking that approach would shut down OP's argument completely.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 06:58 PM

The original comment is saying that women engaging in this conservation are dammed if you do dammed if you don't but at no point does the original commenter even consider taking a more empathetic approach to the issue. I believe in posts like this one, the OP is mainly seeking empathy and validation for their problems not an actual list of solutions or serious dating advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/24 06:52 PM

Thats what people like OP are seeking with posts like this. I really don't understand how people don't get it by now. They will listen to advice but not before being validated by the same person.

Actual empathy would be a good start.

I agree with you, way more people make fun of harem anime for being unrealistic and portraying women in a bad light than romance novels with men.
/r/AllPillDebate10/10/23 01:32 AM
1

Oh of course but tbf there are a lot of harem anime where the guy literally just sits around doing nothing and women come onto him. Then he acts all uninterested until the finale.
/r/AllPillDebate10/10/23 01:23 AM
1

My point was just that romance novels are more like softcore porn or ecchi harem anime. There is straight up literary porn for women that I'd say is more the equivalent of porn.

Slim thicc with big brown eyes, a soothing voice, and preferably has a lot in common with me. Loyal and kinda kinky but not too much. Preferably similar political beliefs and moral values but I don't mind differences as long as it isn't too excessive.

She is there alone but she can take literally any form you want. If you wanna have an deep conversation about the ethics of the bomb she can take the form of Oppenheimer, if you wanna relive a childhood memory of playing catch with your dog who died she can do that too, she can't take the form of more than one organism however.

I completely agree with you that it is a damn near perfect offer and anyone who rejects it is privileged. You should reach out to your family though, you share blood and interacting with them will most likely make life more bearable. I want you to know that your life has value and you matter.

You're talking about different groups of women. There are a lot of toxic women online (particularly on TikTok which I think is genuinely designed by China to destabilize America). But the women you meet irl are going to be far more varied than what the shitty social media algorithms are gonna feed you. It would be better for you and everyone else here if you ignored those dumb bitches online and focused on the women within your vicinity that you actually have a chance with.

I will admit I can't provide guidance on this issue but I will say that there are environments where approaching is accepted and it isn't cold approaching or as shallow as dating apps, clubs, etc.
/r/AllPillDebate01/10/23 08:52 AM

You're both wrong, you can definitely do more to meet women without having to cold approach, however he is greatly exaggerating how easy it is.

The first generation where young people sat out voting in large swaths earning the slacker label, they were one of the first generations to inherit wage stagnation and did nothing to ensure the issue was addressed when they got political power, they really pushed the stranger danger stuff when they got older and started having kids of their own, and they killed progressive rock with the help of the music studios.

What I'd argue is that the numbers of people who were single and sexless were way lower among people your age 20 years ago when they were in their early 20s. I remember seeing somewhere that the percentage of sexless men was only like 7% in the early 2000s as compared to the 30% it is now.

You may be the first woman here to admit men being emotionally vulnerable with their partners can backfire horribly.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/23 06:09 AM

I've seen this perspective commonly taken by men in way more mainstream subreddits like r/askmen and r/dating. Just because the majority of men are in relationships doesn't mean that they're all with partners who are there for them when they express vulnerability. The men in my life have all struggled with opening up to the women in their lives and have generally done worse for it (trauma dumping, drinking, and other non solutions). This is why I try to help my friends out where I can because a …

Oh I didn't think of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/22 05:17 PM

Why are you arguing this when most men (at least most men on here) could tell you that, from experience, this isn't the case. Every time I've tried opening up to a partner they change the topic or find some way to physically distance themselves from me. I've even had a partner use what I said against me in an argument later on. It seems like every guy has a story like this.

Malthusian policies were used to justify not intervening for famines the world over. America isn't overpopulated and would prefer to have a consistently growing population. The current world economic system requires population growth to continue growing.

Why does she need evidence? How would she even back it up without giving out personal details? I think we're somewhat in agreement that a lot of the women here overemphasize how open they are to men showing vulnerability but there really is no way to prove or disprove a story by someone you don't know and won't interact with.

All I meant to indicate was that they don't act like that in person. Most of the cases of slut shaming are usually with like-minded people or with a certain degree of anonymity. This is because it isn't seen as acceptable to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/22 10:00 PM

My point was that comments sections will tend to have women facing each other up and simping asking with the hate. Idk what you post and who comments on your posts but I doubt most women posting only recieve negativity of the shot shaming variety. You're saying that the men who say mean things in the comments section go on to act the same towards you in real life and that most women with an online presence also have to deal with the same treatment outside of social media. My overall point is the…

And as many men who comment negatively simp in said comments and the same could be said for women gassing each other up in said comments. I fail to see how this isn't a problem exclusively on social media that translates to real life.

It's a comment section of an ig post i would say it's out in the open for all to see. It certainly isn't driving a larger cultural discussion. Unless you think most people read and engage with the comments on Instagram.

Sex is also way more work for men than it is for women (you basicallyhave to treat it like a second job). I seriously doubt every guy interested in you is so selfish and uncaring. Prostitution is also not a feasible solution to this issue either for a multitude of reasons. If I told you what I think the solution is you'd probably disagree wholeheartedly. I think hardship plays a role in it but I really think the main reason women's friendships are stronger emotionally is due to a lack of negativ…

I said that some men will react to social isolation violently and that the number of men doing so will increase going into the future. The process of accumulating options is not so simple for men in this situation. Usually guys who stay in bad relationships have no options in the first place and are introvert and low in self-confidence meaning it is a more arduous process for them. For many of them they have to get accustomed to putting themselves out there in the first place and can't just easily set up dates. It will undoubtedly take more time and effort than you have suggested here. I don't disagree that guys should look at …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 09:15 PM

I agree that abusive behavior helps cause the cycle of low self-esteem that lowers men's options, however leaving is still a risky move that can lead to loneliness. It takes a lot more effort than just leaving for a man to accumulate options. Standing up for yourself and leaving is a start but the path is more difficult and requires far more effort than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/22 08:28 PM
1

All I said was that part of the reason men don't leave bad relationships is that they know they don't have options and would basically be hitting the reset button if they did. I didn't claim to understand women's motivations for leaving or staying and simply said that they have different reasons for leaving in that situation.

It she contributes financially it makes sense for chores and home duties to be split. If a guy act chivalrous to start with there are ways a woman can show appreciation (he should be planning everything, leading every conversation, she should generally be supportive and back him on his decisions). The issue is when she demands he pay for her without contributing anything herself or being consistent about it. Basically if he is acting according to traditional masculine gender roles she should be …

It is significantly more effort than any women will ever have to put in and that was more original point. All a woman has to do is accept the guys advance. I hope you hold women to these same standards. Also no guy is getting laid with zero effort unless he goes after someone significantly less attractive than him. You guys aren't ever going to unify on this, as long as there are women fucking said guys none of this will ever matter.

The life expectancy in America is 79. Not on the high end but it isn't fair to say that its on par with third world countries. The only third world countries with a higher life expectancy are Lebanon and Cuba (which I doubt consider how dishonestly they present themselves and the Healthcare system). So why bring up El Salvador at all? Unless you're one of those people who fearmongers about a national abortion ban. Solidarity is the only issue you may have a point on but it is undeniable that man are far more individualistic than women and tend to seek out the best outcome for themselves only.

Most men will never buy the patriarchy theory because it highly ovexaggerates how much the average men benefits from and upholds it. Most guys are just living mediocre lives and don't think about it. Also the whole "call out the patriarchy" thing, what difference does virtue signaling do and how is a guy supposed to call out vreeps when he doesn't associate with them (unless of course you think every guy has a friend who's a secret creep)?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/22 08:51 AM

Bigger friend groups, emotional support, more options for sex and relationships, physical touch (holding hands, hugs, etc), and more solidarity around women's issues.

Social power. Women clearly do way better socially than men do and this is one of the key reasons why men do worse at dating in general.

I'd prefer to work for like 6 hours a day from home and have a stay at home wife but this seems highly unlikely to happen. Neither one of us can really claim to know which relationship dynamic most people want. The only way to know this would be if we lived in a world where both paths were available to the majority of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/22 10:04 AM

But if the only reason people don't go for traditional relationships more often is due to a combination of wage stagnation, inflation, and general economic stagnation than it means a lot of people in egalitarian relationships are only in them due to necessity. Also it is undoubtedly worth it for me at least and I don't plan on getting distracted anytime.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/22 09:51 AM

Why does his perspective not matter at all in this situation? He is half of the relationship after all. Men value sex more than women do. Most men don't feel like they are desired or appreciated in a relationship when they are made to wait especially by someone with a past.

Thats not true at all, you can invest, put your money into high yield accounts, generally live cheap, and be rich enough to afford said lifestyle with a six figure career. You just have to live somewhere where the cost of living is lower.

The issue with this is that it results in the system becoming more hierarchical and based on kin connections. This goal, while having its own merits, is contradictory to that of egalitarianism.

What gave you the impression that I'm a conservative? Just because I criticize lefties in power doesn't make me a conservative. I think that bailouts are a necessary evil in the case of the Chips bill as opposing China is far more important than moralizing about one bill that was gonna pass anyways. AOC was also never at risk, she wasn't even at the capital and she got evacuated by capital police before the rioters even reached the steps.

The show spends way more time justifying her actions, portraying the two characters who can stand in her way as evil and again, giving a whole speech justifying her actions. I don't disagree that theorizing does nothing and that we all have to create the outcomes we want but I'd much rather have to adapt to the standards of the 70s 80s or 90s than now. I mean sure for women but the opposite is true for men and a lot of people here like to claim that most men would hate being alive 20-60 years ago when it seems like they would do way better. Idk about you but I would've loved being a young adult in the 70s, the music and movies were amazing, people still had that free attitude towards sex, wage stagnation hadn't fully taken effect.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/22 07:36 AM

This is only true for elites, plebian Romans and Greek were straight on average. Also Rome and Greece were particularly weird and excessive when it came to sex in general (for example a Roman man loving his wife was shamed heavily).

I never said only men believed it but if you're a guy who was brought up believing that and you see guys who act diametrically opposed to that getting way more attention and having way more sex redpill looks a lot more appealing. The manosphere is definitely overall negative in terms of impact but to act like there is no truth to it is disingenuous. The job market was way better off in the 70s, minimum wage was the equivalent of making $27/hr back then. Lives are longer but way more people were pairing up back then and I guarentee most men here would trade off like 5 years for a time where gender roles are better defined and understood. His opinion was initially in favor of the 6 week ban, this we agree on. However, Roberts was in the process of convincing him to sign off on a 15 week ban like the one in Mississippi (which basically makes second and third term abortion illegal). Did you read the article? Roberts literally did the same thing with Obamacare in 2012 when the Supreme Court wanted to strike it down, instead proposing a compromise that saved it in the eleventh hour. He was attempting to negotiate the Texas ban up to 15 weeks after conception so as not to overrule precedent and was making inroads with Kavanaugh but the leak caused a loss of trust a reaffirmed Kavanaugh's initial position.

The Republican party doesn't even have anything close to the kind of majorities it would need to pass said bans. The only reason the Roe overturn even happened is due to the leak which pissed Kavanaugh off enough to change his ruling in favor of overturning Roe. https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/26/politics/supreme-court-john-roberts-abortion-dobbs/index.html

It's clear to me that women just do better overall when single because the things guys can only get out of a relationship are available to women without being in one. For example intimacy is something guya can only really get in a relationship. Virgin shaming is incredibly common in the internet and less so irl, I've seen it here too but only by specific posters. It is for these reasons guys often choose a bad relationship over nothing because it isn't quite as bad as loneliness.

It's not that Japan chose to demilitarize in the first place just that no effort was made to remilitarize until recently. Japan's had a low birth rate since the 70s. There are undoubtedly factors that caused the population decline unrelated to the bubble (long work days, more asocial culture, etc). As long as the people voted for it, it is democratic. Japan is a lot more conservative than America and has a drastically less eventful (and thus toxic) political system than most of the west. I really think you overexaggerate how much "power" the average guy had back in the day. The gender roles of years past were basically designed to keep most men happy enough to not revolt. Of course this gets twisted into "men worked with men in power to keep women down".

First of all the Liberal Democratic Party did lose power in 2012. Second of all I'd hardly call Japanese democracy a dictatorship just drastically different due to cultural differences. The reason the pound lost its status is due to two world wars shifting the trade balance between Britain and America not neta historical cycles. The dollar could be replaced in the same way capitalism could be, if someone could actually create an alternative system.

China was the fastest growing economy in the world back then and their leadership was competent (Zemin was out of power by then). At least now the cracks in their economy are starting to show with their housing market being a mess, a trade war with their biggest trading partner, and economic slowdowns due to population stagnation and the Middle income trap. An American Civil War requires a divisive enough issue that…

I guess I always defined gossip specifically as the aforementioned things. I see no issue with just catching up with someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/22 10:57 AM

Gossip is usually an overdramatization of the reality I'd prefer to ignore. DIY tools don't always remain the same, and the challenges faced sure don't, the end result varies and usually has tangible benefits. It would depend on what it was about, but it usually tends to be people venting or bragging which I don't care for. If something important happens sure I'm interested. Hell I even like to vent sometimes but if that's all we're talking about (or even the main point of conversation) I'm gonn…

Some guys do (believe me I've dealt with them), but to act like this is as widespread among men as it is among women is silly. What would you say is the female equivalent of a DIY project? Because I'd be much more interested in that conversation than gossip.

When the issue is broken down further most Americans prefer legal abortion with restrictions over the standard Roe established (which was quite the overreach). Also if the dems do good in the midterms it'll be due to economic recovery if the rate of inflation is lowered in time. Most voters said the economy was the main issue of concern for them this cycle. It doesn't help that democratic aligned media doesn't exactly market the issue well either. Gerrymandering is a necessary tool that, if empl…

We do have friends but venting and receiving emotional support isn't exactly the standard. Prostitution is a great example of a false fix for the problem due to obvious issues that come with it (potential trafficking, its legal risk, cost, etc). Hugging friends is not exactly a standard practice among male friends and its not like hugging is the only or main thing guys who struggle are complaining about. Being alone isn't a bad thing for women who often get emotional release with friends, sexual release from casual partners(who we all know they can find easily)/sex toys specifically designed for their needs, and physical touch from friends. Being alone absolutely sucks for men because we get none of those things while single or poisonous "alternatives" like porn or redpill.

Fair enough but Hitler is very unlike Caesar in that regard, who was much more active in moving Rome in the direction he liked before achieving power absolute. Also the "it couldn't happen here" comparisons miss how drastically different our situation is and the way more likely path for authoritarianism to form in America.

I'm not advocating for going for someone you have no interest in, rather someone who isn't "up to par" but has enough traits you like to counter it. If you want Roe reinstated you better hope Biden's Saudi Arabia visit goes well, then two conservative justices need to die before 2024 (or someone needs to convince Robert's to overlook precedent this one time). But what issue is there if the man in question is acting in good faith and is a good partner? You seemed to attack the idea of men going to more traditional areas in general (though you did emphasize those acting in bad faith).
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 11:21 PM

This seems to be an issue more with the intentions of the guy in question. Traditional relationships do give a lot of power to the guy. Power that can be abused. I don't see what the problem is if the guy is a good partner however. So what if he finds dating easier in Traditional cultures?

Which is why I believe the second case you brought up is more common. It seems like a women who dislikes video games would be more successful dating than a guy who is addicted to them.

If you're allowed to bring up theoretical scenarios than I should be able to also (btw yours involves two people who will be making the same amount of money within a few years and is different from what I'm positing). If the individual is making less money but is on the path to make an income on par with their partner I see no issue with a 50/50 split. The issue I have is when she works a career that doesn't pay well and doesn't offer serious opportunities for growth and demands 50/50, I will ad…

You agree that if she did have access to his money and they do cohabitate that it makes sense for her to do more housework?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/22 10:14 PM
1

I disagree that someone making way more should work the same amount of chores. Choose should be divided based on contributions to household income. If the guy makes enough money to support both of them than why isn't the burden mainly on her? At that point she's only employed because she wants to be. In that scenario I almost think a homemaker is better.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/22 09:51 PM
1

The easiest example is the paying for dates/"going 50/50" extremism FDS promotes. Like the notion that the guy should always pay and not even expect their date to pay attention to them or that even if a guy makes 5x more than his wife that chores should be evenly divided.

It's usually the same few users, they comment the typical self-serving kind of takes and only get pushback by guys but when guys say the male version of this they get challenged extensively. I guess I get it considering my tendency to challenge female posters more than male posters.

Japan only discourages women from entering the workforce, it isn't exactly a religious or incredibly socially conservative country otherwise. Korea, like Japan has a work culture that limits the likelihood of successful relationships in addition to women entering the workforce. India and the Islamic world are dealing with having a higher number of men than women and a class system that makes Korea's look like communism.

To me this comes off as us projecting our modern values over an ancient myth or culture. Like when people say Loki was Non-Binary or that there were trans Vikings. Also the story clearly is against that interpretation and has a pretty clear message about what equality looks like.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/22 08:40 PM

Okay but I don't see how the Lilith story is about equality when she is literally punished for seeking it out. I also understand why the Bible removed that part. It was kinda an unnecessary side plot that went nowhere and was never followed up on.

Immigration is also a solution to the problem of population growth and capitalism. Immigration shouldn't be relied upon exclusibely however. Regulation of big industry was what allowed the relatively high standard of living of the 50s.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 02:34 AM

I'm not arguing for that, if anything I'm arguing that society could've moved in a way better direction from the 50s using the good aspects of the 50s as a foundation.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 12:36 AM
4

Your conveniently leaving out the only true era of Keynesian economics being tested in America. Maybe overall the quality of life was worse due to technological improvements and changes in social policy but the cost of living and wages were relatively way better and favored laborers more than now. Minimum wage would be like $30 an hour if it had scaled with time and productivity. The 50s definitely had their issues but let's not act like there weren't positives too.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/22 12:28 AM

Population growth is needed to maintain capitalist growth. Considering how people like to predict the end of society every time their quality of life decreases slightly, I don't think most people are ready to live with the consequences of a stagnant or even declining economy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/22 11:07 PM

Cost of living, wages, and social isolation have all gotten drastically worse since the 50s, some things have definitely improved but many have regressed.

Ukraine's leader who got ousted in the coup currently lives in Russia and was a Russian asset. I can see why he was overthrown. What I missed was Putin funding separatists in Eastern Ukraine for those 8 years. These two goals aren't mutually exclusive, in my opinion it is disingenuous to frame it that way. Obviously the first goal is more easily achievable, that doesn't mean we can't strive towards both as a species. The problem is that we have no evidence that said ecosystems exist nowadays. Why not explore and answer these questions instead of outright rejecting them due to some perceived exploitation and distraction.

This is true. Most privileges come with downsides.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/22 02:18 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/22 01:48 AM

I guarentee most of the guys complaining about a lack of sex would trade it away for a lack of respect from car salesmen who are just trying to con you anyways.

You said space colonization is a bad thing the is only becoming of a parasitic species. I view it as an opportunity to cross the next barrier. Clearly I have a more optimistic view on it than you. All I said is that clearly everyone doesn't view the idea of leaving earth as some negative scenario.

You realize most of the shooters don't formally identify with the cause right? How would the government preemptively stop all school shooters?

Look at the number of mass shootings, acts of political violence, rioting, even crime. It's all gone up over the past decade. Unlike other posters here I don't think we're on the verge of an incel uprising or anything but we are headed for an era of more cruelty, rape, and death.

How the fuck do I provide evidence? I've literally seen this happen on multiple times. Maybe an obese guy can pull a girl at a party every once in a while but never off a dating app. Women just have more leverage on dating apps where they get way more offers and looks are basically the only factor anyone selects for.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/22 01:17 AM

Than why don't Europe and east Asia have obesity problems like America? At they not capitalist?

Abercrombie models is definitely an overexaggeration. But plenty of obese women are fucking 6s off of tinder and from parties.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 10:39 PM

It's not quite as bad as its made out to be but OLD is kinda notorious for dudes dumpster diving. 3s can have ONS with 6s with a swipe. These same 3s also tend to complain that said 6s won't commit and claim that men are trash.

There are reasonable aspects to fds that I understand the push for, much like with trp. However, like trp, fds takes it way too far, encouraging a self-defeating cycle of manipulation, bitterness, and complaining that keeps a consistent audience engaged and ready to buy their bullshit.

This subreddit really needs more guys who take a balanced approach between red pill and blue pill outlooks, more onlyfans/sugar women (because they are brought up all the time but never seem to provide their own perspectives), and women who are currently dating. It really hasn't changed that much aside from more fds women showing up and there being less blue pilled guys and white knight types.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/21 12:19 AM

It is based on commenting on this subreddit for an odd couple of years and mainly interacting with older married women or trp type guys.

First of all its not just male validation. Women validate each other fairly often. Just look at the comments on a selfie post on Instagram or TikTok. Male attraction is worthless if the guy in question isn't attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 02:24 PM
1

Beauty standards and the insecurities surrounding them do not negate the fact that women can still easily recieve attention and validation. The kind of surging men far less often. Now I don't know if you believe in the placebo effect but I've found positive reinforcement leads to higher self confidence. Of course this shouldn't be a bad thing but in the era of instant gratification and a lack of impulse control it is incredibly easy for it to get out of hand.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 01:54 PM

Nice personal attack. By your logic no one can truly analyze or say anything about this because we are all human and damn near all of us are born as one sex or the other. It makes sense that one would notice the other sex's overestimating their attractiveness more than when it occurs within their own sex. However I would argue (with the exception of delusional people like the ones of r/rateme) that men are way more likely to be told honestly how attractive they are thus not feeding into the delu…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/21 01:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 04:24 AM
3

I've seen this conversation here numerous times on here. The guy says that dating sucks for men. The typical response by those on the blue pill end of the spectrum is that men being desperate, horny, and indiscriminate causes said problems and that the original commenter should bring this issue up with men. So I wonder, what the fuck can one guy on reddit really do about it aside from screaming into the void hoping for someone to relate?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/21 04:17 AM

What are we supposed to do about it? Cause right now the only option seems to be using religion or extreme ideology.

You realize the catholic church was the first major institution in the west to oppose cousin marriage right? Along with enforcing monogamy. Arranged marriages may have been the norm for royalty in the middle ages but it certainly wasn't the case for the peasantry.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/21 08:31 PM

And what better examples are there that content aimed at women can be just as bad as content aimed at men? Also I fail to see how more women getting into positions of power changes anything. Especially something like men and women's preferences for dating and sex. We already live in an era where women's interests are pandered to and I don't see men as a whole upping their game in response.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/21 09:25 PM
1

How is what he said not proof that changing out a few people at the top doesn't change anything? Do shows and movies like Sex/Life, 50 Shades of Grey and Twilight not exist to you? Women are just as capable of (if not encouraged towards) creating smut as men are. If you really want better media, find a way to get people to stop watching terrible media.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/21 08:40 PM

First of all women entering the workforce would've been a more gradual transition than an immediate addition of labor to the market without second wave feminism encouraging women to enter the workforce en masse. A transition that could be adapted to better than we did. I only meant to partially blame the 70s stagflation on second wave feminism for the aforementioned reason. Other recession likely would've happened regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/21 06:59 AM
1

A significant amount of those issues (inflation, stagnant wages, recessions) were caused in part by women entering the workforce en masse in the 60s and 70s. Obviously not exclusively the fault of 2nd wave feminism but its role can definitely be linked to the decline in quality of life seen in the west.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/21 04:20 AM

You make a lot of assumptions about someone who was arguing with someone else about something else. All they were arguing over was whether or not FDS is sexist and/or toxic. There is nothing you can do about it. However trying to see things from the perspective of the opposite sex (especially on a forum like this one) would help show men here that women can be sympathetic to their struggles and (hopefully) allow women to then share their perspectives on similar issues so men here could sympathize with them. The issue here is one of value and perception. Men and women value casual sex differently and don't fully understand each other's perspectives on it.

My point about the 70s disproval of malthusian theory is that technology is the solution to these issues not halting population growth. North America has enough arable farming land to feed the world, even in a doomsday scenario where the world climate increases by 4 degrees Celsius. Nuclear energy can power a developed nation as evidenced by France and other green technologies are being developed to handle the energy emission problem. Small nations like Bhutan can live on wind power exclusively …

Thats funny because in real life most people I know still believe in America albeit with certain well earned criticism and generally believe their neighbors and peers are good people. It is only on reddit and Twitter where I see the whole "America is in decline and won't exist by 2050". As for our debt, raising taxes along with reduced spending is the solution (not a sexy or short term solution).

I think you're grouping a lot of the people you don't like into one group. Most people who watch porn are not addicted to the lengths that you suggest. The same thing is true with video games. They are no different from social media in that they are only vices if one treats it as one.

Any situation is which a war occurs would only be due to China starting it. India may not be as developed as China but India is also huge and difficult to occupy and would definitely force China to keep a significant amount of troops deployed in the subcontinent. Troops that can't be used in Korea or Vietnam. If Russia isn't involved the US has the advantage due to the fact that we have over 2800 nukes and an above 90% nuclear shootdown rate while China only has slightly over 600.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 09:24 PM
1

China is also reliant on the Middle East for oil which is supplied via Naval trade route which would be easy for the US cut them off from. In the event of a global war, China also risks pissing off their neighbors which means that long as most major island nations side with America and provide troops (most are in official and unofficial alliances with the US) the number imbalance is irrelevant. Also don't forget to consider that India is also a player in the region and aligned with America.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 08:48 PM

Yeah but we have nukes now, none of the past superpowers had nukes. Even so, the US couldn't win a conventional war against China without all of its allies firmly aligned behind it and considering half of our allies can't even pay their 2% requirements for NATO I'm not too confident it would happen. The only potential Flashpoint is Taiwan which I'm doubtful China could take due to our naval and air Superiority. I don't mean to sound cruel but Covid hasn't killed nearly as many people proportionately as the Black Death, Bubonic Plague, or the various smallpox outbreaks throughout history. You want an example of the kind of pandemic that the original commenter is talking about look up the Justinian Plague.

I like how as soon as the quality of life drops off a little bit everyone starts predicting societal collapse. Sure we haven't fully recovered from 2008 but we are nowhere close to a societal breakdown. Belief in democratic institutions and social cohesion are still stable. Why do you think society will collapse specifically ten years from now?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 03:04 PM

Its almost like said corporations and politicians intentionally guilt people over it to shift the blame.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/21 02:38 PM

Population growth is not the main cause of climate change, its energy production combined with car emissions. Energy companies spread this myth to shift the blame from themselves. Malthusian theory was thoroughly dismissed in the 70s when people thought humanity would starve to death due to overpopulation. It turns out all we needed was for farming techniques to adapt to become more efficient. How do you we were able to handle Asia massive population growth throughout the late 20th century?

Dystopia? Really? Considering the multiple actual dystopia states that failed to take over the world in the 20th century I'd argue we're doing alright right now.

You found the reverse correlation between child rearing and quality of life improvement. This problem is especially bad nowadays as the quality of life has been stagnant since 2008.

I have heard women called men neckbeards (specifically in retrospect to their friends after rejecting said "neckbeard"). It makes sense why women don't use the other three. All three of them are terms that served their purpose originally but got ruined by people referring to normal guys in relationships as simp/cuck/beta. So naturally they are associated with "guy who is a decent boyfriend" rather than "guy who let's women use his desire for sex or relationship for their own gain without offerin…

In the past the church was the place to meet people. It would be cool if someone found a way to consistently get people of similar ages together on a regular basis without all the spirituality bs tho.

The issue isn't with what toxic masculinity means. The issue is with how one would perceive being told they have a problem with toxic masculinity. Don't you see how easy it is to take it the wrong way from the guy's perspective?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 07:08 PM

I'm not optimistic for the church at all, I think they are going to decline in America because they refuse to adapt to the world we live in. I do think that religion is a solution to the isolation problem in theory however.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 01:20 PM
1

Yeah it is sad that there are so many people who willingly isolate themselves and refuse to put themselves out there. Also I think any reformed church would preferably ditch the heaven/hell and anti-lgbtq parts of the Bible. Along with lowering sermon times (30-45 minutes is enough), not playing shitty christian music, and changing the focus of sermons from Bible studies to lessons that can be easily applied to the modern world.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 04:03 AM
1

I don't mean literally forcing people, I mean like using the whole heaven and hell thing to convince people. I agree with you that the onus is on the individual but some people just won't put themselves out there unless they think they're gonna go to hell otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 03:54 AM

I mean some people kinda need to be forced into social interactions or else they wouldn't show up, especially the guys who would most need it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 03:47 AM

It doesn't necessarily have to be Christianity but Christianity coming back seems more likely than any other religion making waves.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 03:43 AM

Encourage the church to reform to meet the needs of younger people and find a way to drive up attendance. The biggest cause of dry spells among men is a lack of a sense of community and isolation. Religion provides the reason for the community to interact and nothing has worked better than it at combating isolation.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/21 12:37 AM

Yeah the best way to encourage people to seek help is by calling them and their behavior toxic.

Eh, its more of a symptom of the actual issues (isolation, social anxiety, lack of general fulfillment with life). I wish the people who complained about not getting laid would try to look at the root of the problem rather than just focusing on how horny they are. It would definitely result in them being taken more seriously.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/21 11:58 PM

I feel like the main problem I've seen most men have with feminists speaking on men's issues is how out of touch they come off as. Like at least try to look at it from the perspective of a man. Also you didn't even bring up men's biggest grievances in your post.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/21 11:50 PM
4

I mean solving gender issues isn't exactly an easy thing to do. As for your second point I do think men in general are struggling across the board. Class and race play a role in said struggles but there are definitely specific areas where men as a demographic are challenged not harshly. There is definitely a gender divide albeit not on the same level as the class or race divide.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/21 11:48 PM

By bringing up this point you have changed the topic of the conversation from the discussion of whether there are more unattractive women with attractive men or vice versa to a trivial argument about sexuality that you've now entered into with multiple people. I'd argue that this wouldn't be an issue if the US government hadn't destroyed the blue collar industry and betrayed the unions that kept many men employed with good wages. Now that we're living in a gig economy where everyone is competing for a limited number of white collar and service jobs it only makes sense that men would be doing worse overall and women better.

That isn't a friendzone tho. Genuine friendships are genuine friendships. It is a friendzone situation when the girl is the only one benefitting from the friendship (ex: when all their interactions are her complaining about her life and him agreeing with her).

It depends on what kind of mood I'm in and what day of the week it is. For example if I'm feeling social and it is closer to the weekend I'd rather hangout with the rapper. Whereas if I just had a long day at work on a weekday and am feeling stressed I'd likely hangout with walmart guy. As for the Megan Fox question I'd take the woman who looks like her but isn't her because I hate the idea of dating a celebrity, there would be less drama with the non celebrity, and I'd rather not know a lot abo…

I just feel like, at least for me, the kind of person who I'd enter into a fwb relationship with is very different from the kind of person I'd enter a serious relationship with. I am just way too insecure to enter into a fwb relationship with someone I have feelings for as I've been hurt in the past doing so.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/20 04:51 PM
2

That's great that it worked out for you but I will never understand why one wouldn't just go for a relationship to start with if they actually have feelings for their friend instead of spending who knows how much time in an fwb situation. I tried that shit once and I hated every second of it.

You say this but I guarantee you there are numerous lonely guys desperate enough to go for her.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/20 08:05 PM
2

Why generalize all men? Sure this may not be the norm but can you honestly say a lonely guy who is lacking cash would say no to a successful fat woman? My main point was in agreement with you, the main reason women believe that they have a harder time living up to beauty standards is due to said industry exploiting their insecurities day in and day out. What feminists have managed to do is somehow blame this on men which allows the beauty industry to keep chugging on.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/20 07:39 PM
0

The same applies for fat women with social status or a prominent career.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/20 07:25 PM

True, but it is more than fat men will ever have.

I'm not creepy or fragile, I just hate myself. This is why I'm scared to talk to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/20 06:36 PM

I think the fact that women have a whole industry catering to societal beauty standards while simultaneously exploiting their insecurities and the fact that this industry has little to no influence on men plays a role.
