The idea is there, but the eye "sleep" thing is straight up gross. You can do "boyfriend touching" without having to resort to this weird stuff. If you must make up an excuse to touch, just pretend you're picking off some fluff or something. Women aren't pets you need to help clean. In my opinion, any self respecting woman would be weirded out by the eye thing.

I'm at a stage in my game where numbers come easy, but dates do not. Getting my first kiss and number was like the best thing in the world, now these things happen every time I go out. I think it's more important to secure a second date so at least you know she was committed and engaged enough in the interaction to want to do it again. Of course, always remember that girls flake for their own reasons, it's not up to you to figure out why.

Pretty common, especially if you're just starting out. Girls hand out their number like candy. You need to really stand out (build rapport, comfort, excitement, etc.) for them to still be interested the next day. Attraction and interest decreases over time even for me. Of course, there are strategies to minimize this, such as proposing a date on the spot and have them at least mentally commit to it or acknowledge it. I don't know about you, but I can't even count how many times I thought I had a…

Yeah, I'll have to agree with you here. It's all about balance, personally. It shows that you're multidimensional, and not just some bratty kid but also not some holier-than-thou Buzzkillington.

Yeah, this is where I'm at right now. I used to be needy as fuck, so when I started reading into the whole seduction thing, I went extreme on "acting cool" and pretty much never showed direct interest for fear of "seeming needy". Obviously, that didn't go so well for me either. Now I'm all about being direct, and seeing what sticks without worrying that things could get awkward. It's really true that "it's only awkward if you make it awkward". A girl is awkward around you after she rejected you?…

In short, you have to be your own man before you can be her's.

I've always said that this is more about "being your best self", and not just "be yourself". If there's something you don't like, and you feel like it's affecting you in a negative way, change it. People don't know how to love their best potential self, so they make excuses to be okay with their current self or run bullshit to pass it off as legitimate.

While I understand where you're coming from, your question shows that you do not understand the core concepts of the answer you will receive. You are comparing yourself to your friend, which shows that there is a part of you that wants to seek validation. "Why him, and not me?". Quite frankly, my truthful answer to your question would be "who cares". To avoid sounding like an asshole, allow me to explain. While this community will focus on routines, logistics, field reports, and the like, you'll…

I see where everyone is coming from, but I personally think it all depends on how you use your Facebook. If you're using it all the time and you're a chronic poster of stupid shit, it's bad. I have friends who essentially never post, but have a few cool profile pics, sporadic and sparse but fairly interesting content. I would agree that Facebook can't really build attraction, but if your profile is maintained correctly, can make you appear a little more intriguing to someone you met at a bar in …

That guy looks pimp as fuck, and it's not even because he's got the women around him. He's got a very "alpha" look, and his clothes work well on him. And yeah, OP's got a genuine and inviting non-creepy smile. Wear that like a medal.

Better yet, always assume attraction until you're told otherwise. You should never set yourself up for an uphill battle by thinking you have to convince them they should like you. Definitely make a move and your intentions clear.

Do it for your own amusement, be your confident Indian-party self, and don't think too much. I think guys who psych themselves out before the approach are more likely to come off as creepy. In their mind they've already built up massive expectations of how the interaction should go, what they should say, how they should say it, what kind of girl she is, etc. So they're essentially going in with a whole bunch of unrealistic agendas. The first few approaches will feel awkward and unnatural and you…

You can mull over the specifics all day but you'll never know what actually worked and what didn't, because there will only ever be one outcome (either she does, or she doesn't). How likely a girl will agree to go on a date with you depends on how much rapport you've built up with her already. Keep it casual with something like, "Hey, what are you up to this weekend? I want to take you out to do something fun". I've never got a straight up "no" with that one.

I used to have really bad eye contact. Not that I was shying away from people, but I was never conscious about when I was looking people in the eye, and when I wasn't. I'm pretty sure more often than not, my eyes would wander to look around or behind their face. Last year, I started working in a retail environment where I was speaking with a new customer every 10 minutes, so I used this opportunity to make a concerted effort to be conscious about it. Think about your day-to-day, and use it to yo…

That's an interesting theory, especially about "winning" them over. I think it has a lot to do with the environment you've grown up in too. I know a lot of Asian people who tend to stick with other Asians, despite being born in North America. They grew up in predominantly Asian neighborhoods, so every other kid was Asian in their schools (immediate social circle). Of course, interests and tastes tend to factor into this as well. I grew up in a very small town and was basically the only Asian kid…

Agreed. Although it was the first step in becoming a better version of myself, proclaiming my feelings for a girl when we were still checking got me out of the running fast. There was definitely lots of flirting going on with amazing rapport, but I didn't know how to move forward (now I know... kino, duh). I decided to tell her "I liked her" in an attempt to heat things up, and it only served to quickly distance her from me. Show her you're interested by flirting and touching, but don't overtly …

How long has this been going on? What kind of expectations are you setting up for yourself before the date even begins? Your mind can be a bigger asshole than you give it credit for. Perhaps it is poorly managed expectations that spiral out of control. Try to relax. Think of it this way, the girl hasn't changed in the short amount of time between you grabbing her number til the time the date is over. Try to really grasp the idea that you're quite possibly freaking out about nothing. Realisticall…

I felt your charisma just from reading this. Honestly, never underestimate the tired cliche of "confidence is (almost) everything". After a year of playing the fool's game, using routines and canned conversations, I was not happy. Lately I've been slowly but genuinely grasping the concept of inner game and bettering myself in every aspect (smiling, posture, confidence, positive disposition, DGAF). This has helped me tremendously, in a way that my old "gaming strategies" never did, despite all th…

This one should be pretty easy if you guys genuinely share the same interests. Provide your own anecdotes or personal experience of these things and the conversation should flow very naturally if she's at all invested in the interaction.

I don't believe race has (or should have) anything to do with it. And let's be real here, it's pretty closed-minded to not date someone based on their race. Plain and simple. That's just flat-out unattractive to me and not worth a gram of my time. Go out more and talk to all women. Stop putting yourself and others in boxes because it'll only serve to limit you. I used to think like you, but worked on my inner game, got rejected and acted a fool in front of countless women of all races, and kept …

I think it's important to recognize that your ego is responsible for most of the pain you experience when you get rejected. Someone posted a Tyler RSD video in a comment recently where he talks about how you need to destroy your ego. The truth is, these girls you approach don't owe you shit, just like how any random stranger on the street doesn't owe you anything save for some common decency, and vice versa. If you can think in those terms, it would a lot easier to stomach a "rejection". Again, …

Make no mistake, being vulnerable is not synonymous with weakness or being beta. Being vulnerable doesn't mean you're pouring your heart out to everyone and hoping for something in return. Being vulnerable means you're giving value without expectation. It means you're putting yourself out into the unknown and rolling with the punches. Why? Because you know that deep down, that's how you progress and improve yourself. This makes vulnerability very alpha because it shows that you don't succumb to …

you have been awesome before, and you have had drys spells as well, but you are always able to return to the awesomeness I cannot stress this enough. I'm learning to appreciate the ebb and flow of highs and lows a lot more now that I've gone through a few. Around the start and throughout most of summer, I was killing it. I had so many girls on my list I could barely manage. Then suddenly, without explanation or reason, I crashed into a dry spell at the end of summer, hard. Seriously, I thought m…

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I was actually in the exact same situation (drunken balcony make-out and all). Women can sense desperation. If you're already admitting that you're into her more than she's into you, my advice is to back off a bit and just chill - meet other girls. You've probably heard this a million times, but it works. If you guys had any legitimate basis to your relationship, she will wonder where you went if you cut her loose. When she reestablishes contact, be your own man…

Best of luck bud. Keep your prospects wondering why you're as cool as a cucumber and let them figure you out. Flirting here or there wouldn't hurt, just don't overdo it, be and have fun with it.

You're only in the friendzone if you let yourself be there. Exactly. Blaming the girl for "putting you in the friendzone" is a cop-out. The "friendzone" is something you put yourself into by being desperate and needy. It's not that they're putting you on the backburner because they're cold hearted bitches, you're just taking the dive when she's still testing the water. Just focus on being awesome and enjoying yourself, and be good to everyone. It rubs off on people.

Just to add to the second point, I strongly believe that people fall into this is because they don't have enough options/propsects (or perceived options). About a month ago, I was fall-on-my-face hurting from oneitis with this one girl I was checking over the summer. Blew everything out of proportion, thought she was this rare elusive creature that I had to win over. I knew I would only land myself in the "friendzone" with that attitude. I've since established some tension with a bunch of other …

I'm in a small post-grad program right now and you are right on the ball with this one. I've started to really appreciate the importance of proper calibration since I'm now running game in a completely different and slower environment from the bar/club; one where you can't just count your losses and disappear into a crowd if an interaction goes sour. A lot of the "quickness" of club/bar game can definitely come off as inappropriate or creepy in slower and more tight-knit settings. I would agree …

I'm trying to expand my social circle and that includes having female friends especially if they are unavailable for dating/hooking up with. Definitely a good call. I had a lot more female friends growing up in middle and highschool, but that numbered tapered off to almost nil during University. I've been making a conscious effort to make friends with more females (available or otherwise) and it's only helped to improve my game. It really allows you to see different perspectives and patterns of …

I'm currently in a "rut" like this. It seems like all the girls who are into me, I don't care for. Yet I'm slipping into one-itises left-right-centre for girls I really like. "Choosing a panicky path" definitely hits the nail on the head. Appreciate the advice.

Well, she unfortunately flaked on the date. The reason was... acceptable, but I won't bother trying to decipher more than that. I told her that it's no problem, I was out late last night anyway and had some business to do before going out this evening (all true). She said she still wants to get some music off me sometime (we talked about music we're into when we met). I've been doing some reading about flakes and while some people suggest to move on (portraying a more alpha "you only get one cha…

Thanks. I've been really trying to talk up "inner game" for myself lately (outcome independence, personal enjoyment, etc.), and given what little experience I have, it just seemed odd that she would put up a wall so soon without knowing a single thing about me. I'm not phased (nor am I looking for a relationship anyway), but it just caught me off guard since my style is to keep it fairly playful and ambiguous until we got to really know each other. I've only recently been trying to get into the …
