Oh man, that sounds difficult. I've able to agree and amplify so far, but that one sounds like a huge fight escalator waiting to happen. But if you say it works, I'll keep that round chambered for the future.

It was so hard to wrap my brain around becoming "outcome independent" but now I understand how important it is. I've been failing shit tests for YEARS because I was never able to treat my situation as something that could/should end because of how I was being treated. That's over. All it took was one "win", one pass of a shit test, and I feel like a new man.

Thanks for your post and the good advice. My beta instincts were definitely coming to the fore there. And yeah, that Blue Pill shit is over. Time to hit the books! The only one I have at the moment is "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Glover, but working on it.

This made so much sense - the concept of the Benevolent King is huge, as is the value of adding humor and goodwill to the alpha frame.

This resonated with me big time - "you don't really stop the dread, you just vary the intensity." Great advice, thanks.

Thanks for your advice! I used this as a template for how to handle next steps, and I'm amazed at the changes I've seen in our relationship already. I'm writing an update soon.

I'm new to the world of TRP, but this sounds like excellent advice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
