Some people value different things. If you have a high sex drive and your partner it’s not only less fun and bad for your self-esteem, it’s physically uncomfortable! When you’re in a horny mindset it’s hard to get out of that headspace until the itch is scratched; to not be able to scratch it with your partner when there are so many others out there doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. It’s like if you love to cuddle but your partner doesn’t. It’s just a fundamental part of many people’s relations…

The Dunning-Kruger effect is where the more you learn about something, the more you realize you don’t know. This results in low-knowledge individuals overrating their knowledge base of a topic (see: this thread) and to a lesser extent, high-knowledge individuals underrating their knowledge base. Instead of knowledge, the effect can also apply to level of skill at a specific task.

You’re right, they’ll see a man, become attracted, and forget all about him three weeks later!

I actually agree with you in the sense that men’s desire for sex leads to a greater willingness to compromise on other aspects of a relationship.

Women are much less likely to re-marry after divorce. I think in some respects women have less tolerance for bs in a relationship than men.

Did you not understand that either?

She literally explained how she felt in plain language how her arousal isn’t solely based on visual stimulus. If you didn’t comprehend what she wrote you would be wise to invest some time developing your English skills.

Why don’t you try discussing the points I make instead of semantics instead

Feminists recognize the value of emotional growth in the self. TRP will never endorse these values because so much of toxic masculinity is shunning emotions in general, and thus any idea of improving one’s ability to relate and support others is only going to be due to some sociopathic notion of accruing social capital, instead of being a well-rounded, ethical human.

The person I was replying to was basically saying, “it’s okay for men to have double standards because women do too.” From my perspective, this is a non-cooperative mindset that shows a lack of empathy and self-awareness. For someone to assume bad-faith behavior from others to justify their own behavior is a pretty poor defense. If TRP is truly about self-improvement (even though it obviously isn’t), it would encourage emotional development, and that includes holding oneself to a high ethical st…

Most people instinctually have empathy. Trying to dial it down is bad for your mental health, and hurts your ability to relate with others. Relationships aren’t a zero-sum game where you have to have ice in your veins and outthink your opponent; rather, they are about building bridges of understanding between individuals, and thus practicing self-awareness and empathy are valuable tools for this endeavor.

So basically what you’re saying is part of red pill philosophy is avoiding thoughts that promote empathy and self-awareness?

A lot of women don’t care how much money you make as long as it’s enough to support yourself and a relationship, which is a standard they hold themselves to.

They dislike promiscuous men. There’s a difference between being in a relationship and having many sexual partners. Similarly, men rate women in relationships as more attractive, which should be incredibly obvious if you’ve spent more than 10 minutes reading the insanely jealous posts of red pillers.

Seems like the path towards an unfulfilling and deprived life.

This sounds mostly right but I think embracing a transactional ideology is not beneficial for healthy long-term relationships, and thus any attempts to leverage power should be carefully monitored and preferably cast aside early on in a budding relationship.

I think AFBB may possibly apply to times of high socioeconomic stress. In other words, for communities where people who are wealthy and/or attractive are rare, infant mortality is high, and access to healthcare and education is limited, women may be more inclined to have multiple partners to increase progeny fitness. However, I also think it’s likely men in the same scenario would also engage in more promiscuous behavior. For the average college educated adult though, I think most people follow …

Women treat a guy who was a friend asking them out as some kind of betrayal of trust. Only when a guy waits way too long to make their move and then it just seems weird and out of the blue.

I think the vast majority of feminists would tell a guy it’s okay to have consensual sex with someone. Once again, we don’t know how the guy treated the girl to her face, he could have been superficially charming and respectful. I am sure you know of some douche people who can turn on the niceness when they want to.

It makes them human beings. They probably do care deep down but just like someone who cares about fitness will have a milkshake now and then sometimes feminists will do things that do not promote feminism. Tons of people, mostly on the right, think they look like the smartest ones in the room pointing out other's hypocrisy, but in the end it just shows an inability to handle nuance. So once again, I will repeat: 20 year old girl in college. Hot guy. Probably charming. Sex will happen on occa…

A 20 year old girl had sex with a guy who has different values than she does? clutches pearls Tons of college-aged women are more open to short-term relationships because that’s the time in their life to do it. Chances are the misogynist is far more charming when with the women he wants to fuck and is much more of a douche in front of his guy friends.

Humans seem to be best equipped for serial monogamy. Probably at least partially explains the divorce rate. A big happy family is still appealing to both genders though so marriage isn’t going anywhere.

This sounds like something someone would say who already knows the answer to, “why don’t we have sex anymore.” Regardless, assumptions usually are less accurate than we think, and starting a dialogue can be a great first step for a solution! It at the least shows your partner you care about what they think.

Mormon women are socialized their whole life to tolerate polygamy and most report instinctually not liking it. *edited
