5	I'd like to try this without getting arrested Gay man here. You're right, referring as a gay man as "a homosexual" or "a gay" implies that their sexuality is all that's worth referencing. Saying "a homosexual" is basically objectification of their sexuality as far as I'm concerned. A gay man or a homosexual man implies a man who happens to be gay, rather than a gay or homosexual person who could be either male or female.
