This is exactly how this sub should be: People sharing ideas on how to hold their farts in instead of wasting time on sexual strategy. /s

Great, comprehensive post. I'm surprised fashion isn't talked about more in this sub. I disagree on watches, though. I think a nice analog watch in silver or gold is something every man should have available, but I don't think they necessarily go with every ensemble. You also champion Henleys and jeans, for example - I think with a less dressy ensemble like this, a nice, understated black sport watch looks less out of place than something shiny. You should, however, always wear a wristwatch just…

For perspective: The guy is Dave Foley. You might remember him from a show called News Radio. These days he's an occasional stand up comic. In his last special (which is on Netflix, I believe), he said the judge told him that his "ability to pay was not relevant to his obligation to pay".

If you ever want to see what entitlement looks like, turn a woman down when she straight up propositions you for sex. Even if you want to get laid, it's worth doing once in your life just to watch this truly spectacular display.

Yeah it seems though that you were trying to reframe the whole situation into something positive. I don't know that I would entirely agree with that assessment. I decided not to be a victim. Would it have been better if I had been able to turn J into a plate on a more consistent basis? Sure. Could I have improved my situation beyond simply recontextualizing events as they happened? No doubt. The lesson to be learned here is the value of being dispassionate and not letting a woman rule your world…

Who is Megan? And I acknowledge freely that I was used, multiple times, but posit that by acknowledging her for the low quality woman she is, good for little more than a lay here or there, I've turned the tables and, in essence, used her back, thus ceasing to be a victim. For real, though, does anyone in this sub know how to read?

This is a stereotypical case of oneitis. She did not really see you as a lover but as a beta provider/orbiter. I actually literally said both of these things in my post. This story starts like 9 years ago up and the last installment takes place about 4 years ago. It sounds like you took the humor literally and glossed over some pretty important details. This was a formative story from my twenties that I think represents a seminal moment in my development as a man.

Consistency is definitely ideal, but there are ways to overcome this. Some things you could try: Pick a sleep schedule that works with both shifts, if possible. After a night shift, maybe you go to bed as soon as you get home, but wake up several hours before work. Before a day shift, maybe you wake up in time to do your morning routine, and have free time after work. Wake up at the same time every day relative to your shift. It's less consistent with regards to your circadian rhythm, but honest…

Women also have a window of maybe 30 years wherein they are able to reproduce whereas men are, by and large, fertile for virtually their entire lives. Also, while war has historically beget an inequity between male and female lifespans, battle deaths prior to the industrial age didn't have nearly the body counts as those in the last century.

Speaking in public forum is not a necessary component of catharsis. And if you're seeking to entertain, then you are concerned with what people think by definition. The fact that you're STILL commenting supports the notion that you want attention and validation. Seriously. This sub is not a fucking pity party for disaffected neckbeards. If you're having a hard time getting laid, stop ranting about how much you hate women to strangers on the internet, and go better yourself.

Got a promotion at work. I almost didn't apply, but instead, I decided to write a polished, slightly erudite letter of interest. I explained to the hiring manager and HR that I'm a commanding presence capable of mentoring the wayward and cracking the whip when necessary. They agreed, and now I can afford to not have a roommate anymore. Got a membership at a gym much closer to my apartment. Now I have no excuse not to go. He lost his book deal and his CPAC slot before his big apology. Breitbart was also considering firing him before that. He didn't pay for apologizing, he paid because after years of saying things that liberals find objectionable with relatively little consequence, he made the mistake of saying something conservatives find objectionable. In other words, Milo forgot who the fuck buttered his bread.

I watched my father follow this rule to the letter and not cohabitate until marriage. All of these things happened in both marriages and he got divorce raped twice. Does anyone know if "Boss" is still on Netflix? Kelsey Grammer was alpha as fuck in that show. At times, it felt like a little bit of a "House of Cards" ripoff, but I still thought it was a great show. The best part was that they were clearly setting him up to fall, as if to say "manipulating people to serve your own ends doesn't pay", but then the show was abruptly cancelled, and it ended on a very "Empire Strikes Back" kind of note.

It's odd timing that I'm coming across this post now... just a few hours ago, it occurred to me that TRP is strongly rooted in Stoicism. Our constant desire to "maintain frame" is somewhat analogous to the Stoic ideal of "moral and intellectual perfection". MGTOW seems derived from Eudaimonia - the belief that virtue (or personal excellence) is its own reward. I think it speaks volumes about the RP community that the things we prescribe for our lives are (intentionally or not) rooted in Hellenis…

I think I've got a good sea story to share. So, it's 2008, and I'm fresh out of the schoolhouse. I'm checking into my unit, and as I'm leaving S-1, the Sgt I'm replacing tells me that the Marine who signed my check-in sheet used to be in our shop, and he got FAPped out. I ask what happened. He was accused by a LCpl (a female) in our unit of rape. Turns out, the WM who accused him is a friend of mine from the school. I sort of agree with this. As selfish as this sounds, I think the fact that so many men are still plugged in is advantageous to those of us who have benefited from swallowing TRP. I think that simple precepts of TRP (e.g., "lift weights" or "be your own man") could benefit all men. On the other hand, the more men who take an RP approach to sexual strategy, the more competition we have and the harder we have to work to gain an edge. This isn't a religion, guys. When I try to put this article into RP terms, I would summarize it (in part) as "Don't spin plates". The fact that Matt Walsh is also a good, God-fearing Christian would seem to lend credibility to this interpretation. I agree with his notion of being decisive, but the way he romanticizes courtship seems like he's also discouraging premarital sex and engaging romantically with multiple women. That's my take on it, anyway.

When I cross a parking lot at night and see a woman ahead of me, I do whatever I feel is appropriate to make her aware of me so that a) I don’t startle her b) she has time to make herself feel safe/comfortable and c) if it’s possible, I can approach in a way that’s clearly friendly, in order to let her know I’m not a threat. I do this because I’m a man. Basically, I acknowledge every woman I meet on the street, or in an elevator, or in a stairway, or wherever, in a way that indicates she’s safe.…

In a word: Mindset. Specifically, how one reacts to failure. While the typical RP guy strives to maintain an optimistic frame of mind going into a social situation, if he's rejected by a woman, he understands that it's his own failing. He analyzes himself, makes a plan for how to improve himself, and moves on. What you characterize as "entitlement" is what we might characterize as falling victim to "oneitis", or putting a woman on a pedestal. Feeling "entitled" is, therefore, decidedly not RP.

Of course. A gentleman should always be civil. I really don't think the point of an argument should be to reinforce one's beliefs though. Let me expound on that a little bit: Often, we simply believe what we believe without having to go through the logical steps of considering how we arrived at this belief. When someone else with a differing viewpoint challenges us, we are forced to go back and retrace our logical steps. If your logic doesn't hold up somewhere along the line, you're forced to re…

In spite of what the downvote brigade might suggest, I think it's good for us to debate some of these points with people outside the RP community once in a while... especially people willing to reconsider their viewpoint in the face of evidence. Anxiety can be a hard thing to deal with. My anxiety is relatively mild, so most of the time I'm able to just take a deep breath and do social things anyway. Honestly, you don't need to be "amazing", you just need to be relatively competent and have the attitude to go with it. Try some things that are a little out of your character. This is sweet and romantic if you do it for your spouse as you begin your life together... but it's a little weird when a guy you've kinda sorta been dating on and off does it. I think this put a lot of pressure on her (see also: "If you put a woman on a pedestal, she has no choice but to look down on you") She banged a whole bunch of other guys and he just let it go. I have a hard time even imagining someone forgiving that sort of behavior.

Honestly though, I think my time in the Corps made my transition in to TRP a lot easier. Because of this, I have a nice body, some sweet ink, I know how to posture and put up a masculine front, and I've been interesting places and done cool shit. Once I realized that I already had these things available to me, I started using them as stepping stones.

Not every woman is looking to cheat all the time. No, but if she's responsive to your advances, I think it's accurate to say that, to some degree, she is looking to cheat.

Thanks! And it's true, simply acting cool and confident work wonders, even if you're not deep down. Some people don't buy it, but I'm far better off than I was before.

While I enjoy this and I agree with much of what he says, I think his views on semen retention are a little asinine. He casually mentions a rat's reaction to artificial dopamine stimulation (the study in question was not rats "fucking themselves to death", but they were simply pressing a button that triggered dopamine release) and then couples that with a vague reference to Taoist "Jing" and proclaims "It's science!" I'm sorry, but I feel like there's entirely too much of that in this sub. If yo…

I agree with this, and I think that not wanting to seem desperate is also an important factor here. Women can smell desperation, and you don't get much more desperate than a guy whose only hope of release lies with her.

The "rub one out" quip is kind of beside the point of this post... but while we're on the topic: I don't agree that NoFap is the way to go for all RP men, mostly because I've found that abstaining from masturbation adversely affects my sexual performance and because lifting makes me too horny to think properly. For me personally, I can either NoFap and give up lifting, do both and not have my wits about me, or fap. I choose the latter. For some, NoFap may be valuable but I don't think this is un…

While I agree with a lot of what this guy says... IIRC, Brendan Eich voluntarily resigned, and so did some of Mozilla's Board of Directors. It irks me that this guy demonizes Mozilla when the company at large was as much a victim as Eich was. Everything else he said was pretty spot on, but Eich wasn't fired, he was pressured into quitting partly by people below him and partly by people outside the company. It might seem like a pretty minor point, but it's an important one. Mozilla is not the bad…

I'm sort of on the fence about this. On the one hand, you have a good point that the ideal of self-improvement should be the most important aspect of TRP. On the other hand, however, I think it's worth noting how feminism affects the culture in which we live. While I agree that this sub sometimes fixates on militant feminism perhaps a little more than it should, it is something we should all be aware of. Upvote for a pretty engaging and thought provoking post, I suppose.

I had two simultaneously, actually. I fell for a close friend of mine, who, after making out with me one night, gave me the "We should just be friends/not looking for a relationship". At first I tried to be understanding, and resigned myself to the friend-zone... but then I found out she had fucked some guy she met at a party. This damaged our friendship irreparably, and it was around this time that I read a post on here that basically advised "to avoid being friend-zoned, stop acting like a 'fr…

It's interesting. He makes the leap of acknowledging that victims of sexual/domestic violence are sometimes men (and boys), and yet he still manages to cast all men as potential perpetrators of said violence.

It doesn't get much more RP than that. Technically, "Cosi fan Tutti" is literally more like "Thus Are They All" or something like that... but the entire plot is Don Alfonso showing Guglielmo and Ferrando that their ladies will gladly ride the carousel if given the chance.

I love that you posted this. I was just thinking the other day that Bizet's "Carmen" is more or less a classic tale of a stone cold alpha (Escamillo) who bags a hot babe (Carmen) using RP tactics, only to have her stabbed to death by her obsessive beta orbiter (Don Jose). In spite of all the academic papers I've had to read about feminism in opera, there's plenty of RP wisdom as well (Cosi fan Tutti, Barber of Seville, etc.). I should know... I am Verdi. EDIT: BTW, just for the record, Mozart's …

Former Marine, here. Since the author of this article is a boot who has some misconceptions about how the Marine Corps works (it's okay, we all start out as boots), I just wanted to clear up one minor detail: I was excited to have a shot at the Marines’ premier training course. Not even close. Although the IOC is obviously very challenging and physically demanding, there are many schools within the Corps that are both harder to get into and have a much higher attrition rate, such as MARSOC, Scou…

I've always considered myself a gay rights supporter and a social progressive. I was on board with the "Boycott Chick-fil-a" campaign when Dan Cathy used his company's money to further an anti-gay agenda. I'm also a firm believer in choosing the companies you patronize based on said company's business practices and political leanings: In the wake of the Snowden shitstorm, I switched from Chrome to Firefox... and I'm not switching back. If I can play devil's advocate for a minute, there's actually a few fairly basic RP truths contained herein that just need rephrasing. For example: 5. Don’t be a man-baby. Translation: Grow the fuck up. Quite simply, women like men who are men. 13. Sometimes we need 'me time'. Translation: Don't be needy. On the surface this might seem like a "how to be a beta orbiter" guide, but I think this is proof positive that women don't want a guy treating her like a princess 24/7 quite the way it might s…

I should point out that by dividing "happiness" into "pleasures" and "satisfaction" you've created a logical inconsistency, as your title, "stop chasing happiness", is now in disagreement with what appears to be your central point that "satisfaction" (or "virtue" or "achievement" or whatever you want to call it) is, in fact, a type of happiness worth pursuing. I like how you started off more or less paraphrasing Denis Leary before eventually progressing to Eudaimonia (which I would associate mor…

Back when I was in the Corps, my roommate and I did a cycle of this. I got shredded as fuck and he lost 30 lbs... and we didn't even finish the full 90 days. The thing is, with Insanity, just like any workout regiment, you get out of it what you put into it. It allows breaks as needed, but I tried to avoid that unless my heart rate was redlining for long periods and I was about to black out. Insanity made me a believer in high intensity plyometrics, that's for damn sure.

Upping your weight is all good and well, but never sacrifice form or reps. Good form will reduce your risk of injury and maximize your pump, and reps will give you mass. Pick up a copy of Flex magazine sometime: They usually have routines of top IFBB pros, and you'll be surprised at what you find. I remember a few years ago I read about Ronnie Coleman's bicep routine and he doing preacher curls with only like 45-50 lbs, and I was confused because he's a BIG motherfucker. But then I noticed he wa…

If your overwhelming desire for sexual gratification is making you miserable, maybe now isn't the best time to go NoFap. I'm not saying don't do it ever... but you might want to fight your battles one at a time. Personally, I don't know how anyone could manage to stay cool and aloof with all that pent up frustration. If I'm going "out", I usually just beat off before I get dressed and I'm good to go again by the time I'm done putting my shoes on (it's good to be 25). That being said: Go fucking …

You love the way she looks. You love how hard your dick gets for her. If she didn't do that for you, you wouldn't be talking to her. I feel like, for many, this is the hardest part about swallowing the Red Pill. Society tries to sell us this ideal that looks shouldn't be important to us, and if they are, they shame us and label us as "superficial". This is something that many men (and I think women too) of my generation are raised on, and it's sometimes difficult to admit that however deep you f…

From reading this article, I didn't get that sense. Let’s nuke the funding to Planned Parenthood (and the multiple options of female birth control) Uhh... Let's not and say we did. and instead put that money into research for a real male birth control. Women are like art; beautiful, valuable, property. Hmm... I don't know that I agree with this simile. Not only that, but it's made even more confusing by the fact that you do put art on a pedestal, in a frame, or some place designed to enhance it's impact.

Long sessions have their place, but no, you probably shouldn't make a habit of that. I had a partner once with whom I would regularly go 1.5/2 hours (or more) with, but we both loved to fuck and we had a strong emotional connection. I think 15-20 is pretty average, generally speaking.
