We are not. Rule 7 condemns any promotion of sin. Premarital sex is sin.

think it's time to consider canceling my gym membership. That would give me an extra $120/month to pay down the debt. I'm just worried that will hurt my training. And now that I work from home the gym was really the only place I had to get out of the house. Without that I'm stuck at home pretty much 24/7. But if I'm serious about killing this credit card debt then I don't see any other option. Are there no gyms around at a lower cost? How much money do you spend eating out a month?

Welcome bro! Hopefully working to structure my day a bit more will help correct this! What steps are you going to take to "structure [your] day a bit more"?

Assurance of Salvation: 3/10. It's been about a month since my last confession. Work has made it a bit difficult to get into church during confession but I know that I can make a request so let's not let me use that as an excuse. Trying to get my schedule shifted so I have Saturdays off to make it a regular occurrence however. Are you implying that your assurance of salvation is contingent on a consistant attendance to priestly confession?

Shared the gospel with a coworker during a conversation. It wasn't weird because he was asking questions that led up to it. He response was more of an "oh, that's neat," but at least he's heard it now. Amen bro! Nice when they do the heavy lifting for you and you get a layup. God's preparing you for more of these conversations

Threw away the vape, havent chewed/vaped in about 4 days. Good job bro. Don't keep track of 'days since'...its over. Squat: 305 OH Press: 145 (+10lbs) Deadlift: 345 Bench Press: 215 (+10lbs) Get that work! Using the bible memory app every day. Romans 8:28, Phil 4:16, Phil 4:13, Matthew 7:7-8 memorized so far. Let me know your favorite verse and I'll memorize it. Lemme hit you with 1 John 5:13. Whats your process for memorizing scripture? Further the Kingdom. Amen lets get it!

Can't someone intellectually know that Jesus existed, as a point on the timeline of history, and did in fact pay the price of sin by dying on the cross, while being aware that nothing they ever do will earn their way into heaven, but without, um... I suppose the emotional nuance of the words "resting upon" that you chose to describe saving faith? That's where I am. I know that Jesus died on the cross and paid the price for sin, but I'm concerned that the fact that I don't get some kind of emotio…

Check out the Bible Memory App. I've been using it and really found its interface helpful for memorizing. Way better than little flash cards. Yup i have the app. Its great I just haven't made any time for it lately. Why the 9 on AOS and not a 10? I guess i leave a point off because I'm not sure where I stand on eternal security (OSAS). Have you read NMMNG already? If not, add that to your reading list. Yup i've read it. The Discord is cool and has its place. But, don't neglect real life relation…

Anyone ever visit a small group where "that one person" always makes the group about their problems and nobody else really gets to chime in about their own life issues? And don't even bother asking about the actual content prepared for the day! That person is practicing (unintentionally) invisible leadership ... often to the detriment of the group. They take the reigns on the direction the group should go. The positional leader believes he still has control because, as he tells himself, "I could…

As someone just getting back into the gym would be cool to have the guys go over their current workout program/diet/goals. As a long term thing it'd be cool to go over the sidebar in podcast format (similar to what The Red Pill channel is doing) and see the mods flesh out some of that material, mix in personal anecdotes or even discuss disagreements over the material. I have friends that would be more open to watching a video I can share than reading a post. Would be cool to have DeepStrength on…

I think the distinction to be made is between the church office of an apostle vrs someone who has an apostolic gift. You can be a continuationist and deny the formal church office on an apostle, which most say ended with Paul (1 Cor 15:7-8).

So it looks like the 1K requirement is only for livestreaming on mobile. As long as you verify your YouTube account I think you're able to livestream via desktop. Have you given it a try? https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2474026

I believe there are some Apps that allow you to go live on mobile without 1K subscribers. Not sure how that would affect your ability to have other guests on.

Just remember that the Word is our sword (Ephesians 6 / Hebrews 4:12) and God promises that his Word will not return void. It might not "work" in the way you imagine but you can be sure that utilizing the scriptures will not be in vain. It helps as well because it takes the conversation away from 'you vrs. your dad' and towards 'your dad vrs. God' which in my experience keeps me from getting too ego-invested into the conversation and I can better maintain the fruits of the spirit, correcting wit…

I can improve this by making time to go over my scripture verses in the Bible Memory App like i was doing awhile back. Where I live the gyms have not been given approval to open. The city parks that have gym equipment have them taped off your not allowed to exercise in one spot. I'm getting decent exercise working on my place so just holding out. Great post thanks. I really need to be more intentional with my relationships. I'm not good about reaching out just to check in with people. Regarding female friends I get a lot of different responses from Christians on that topic. In general I think its good to have female friends but you have to guard your heart and also be careful your not letting girls on where you know there is no potential for future with them...just for your own validation. That's sin right?

fornication=premarital sex (yes oral included)=sin
/r/RPChristians04/12/18 09:48 PM

Fornication is fornication...regardless of what your future plans are with someone. It is sin. Confess it as such and take the necessary steps to set boundaries of intimacy for your relationship. Saying you can't afford marriage (you can do it for cheap) is a poor excuse to justify sexual immorality.

It's possible with such a traumatic experience that a spirit of fear/anxiety entered your daughter. Therapy is good but i suggest engaging in spiritual warfare (in Jesus name) on your daughters behalf.

Lots of self-pity in this post. You will never be content with your life so long as you compare yourself to other people. There is no "dream girl" or "happily ever after." Its admirable that you are taking care of your mother but you need to stop sulking in your past and just take responsibility for where you are at now. Not sure what the point of this post is but there is nothing Alpha about seeking validation for your sob story.

Im lurking and have been really benefiting from this sub. Only been Christian for 3 months so still learning the ropes. Found a seemingly sound doctrinal baptist church in my area...excited to be baptized soon and continue my walk. So much to learn but praise God for giving me the eyes to see the truth.
