The US Navy has a similar problem. To get out of going on deployment, women get knocked up and are sent to a shore command for the duration of their pregnancy. Can you imagine being that child and eventually finding out your mother had you only because she didn't wanna go on deployment, for a job she voluntarily signed up for?

Thanks for the reply. I think the local electricians union in my area offers classes to take, or at least an apprenticeship program. I'm gonna look into that.

Thanks for the reply. I currently work in the restaurant industry that requires a lot of physical labor, heavy lifting and being on your feet for long periods of time, so that is absolutely no issue for me. Do you recommend trying to find some kind of apprenticeship program in my area as well? I am also starting to take my Electronics classes at the local community college next month, and they're online so I'll still be able to work during the day. That'll help right?
