Given that it happened in Essex and Judge Lynch QC was involved, I believe it was tried in Chelmsford Crown Court. Crown Court cases carry indictments, not just summary convictions. The sentence for a fraud indictment is up to 20 years, starting at 2 years. She got an almost minimum sentence, FAR closer to the lower end of the scale.
/r/PussyPassDenied19/11/17 11:10 AM

She got 3 years, for stealing two people's hard-won life savings -- her own parents, no less -- and leaving them homeless, with bad credit.

Well, you can accept the apology, but still demand recompense.

Yeah, she should be sent to work on an oil rig or some other dangerous, hellish, high-paying job that will earn back her parents money while they can still enjoy it. Though there should be bank protection or government protection that would fully reimburse them (or at least half reimburse them, given that the were dumb enough to trust a 21 year old with their life savings), now that she's been found guilty.
/r/PussyPassDenied19/11/17 09:58 AM

That is a great point. She's guilty as hell, but imagine if she actually produced hard evidence that she was 100% innocent, and had to wait 7 years to prove it. Not fun for her parents to wait that long and suffer from credit threats etc. either.

That's not showing remorse and accepting that she did wrong, so much as appealing to exceptional circumstances as to why the law doesn't apply to her. I'm all for the law taking more account of exceptions, but in this case, she's full of shit.

It was the frivolousness of "didn't spend it on house renovations... spent it on lifestyle" that got me. If she'd at least invested it, and had a chance of making the money back, that would be something.

Well, to be fair, the other part was, if you're married, stay married. I think the Christian idea is that, on the pursuit to spiritual happiness, you shouldn't fuck with what's already working. But monastic buddhism (and maybe monastic variants of many religions... any variant that's really pushing for a strong sense of internal peace and enlightenment) seem to have been much more against marriage, and even bothering to think of relationships.

You don't have to forgive. People have confused personally coming to terms with things with the idea of forgiving the other person and no longer requiring them to pay for the harm they did, nor to demonstrate that they've learnt a lesson. You have to understand bad things that happen, and integrate that understanding into your psyche, instead of wrestling with it. But that is NOT the same thing as forgiving someone for their harmful actions. Especially if those harmful actions affect wider socie…

He's probably just a logical guy who knows strategy. His wife is trying to play a power game. Knowing (or at least encouraged to believe by her friends) that most women can find someone to fuck them easier than guys can, she intended to fuck around a lot, and leave him alone, jealous, and strategically weakened in the relationship. Yeah, a teenage boy MIGHT post something similar, but it's much less likely, because boys are expected to do work as part of being manly. If the word is masculine, that answers the issue just fine. Whether they reproduce is irrelevant, except to crazy people who think gender is only about what's between your legs.

Are you talking about paintings in the last century or two, or like in the Italian renaissance? Links? Here, for example, is a 15th C painting of angels, all male. Here is another, which LOOKS quite feminine, but is actually depicting Gabriel, at The Annunciation.
/r/MGTOW04/10/17 09:27 AM
2

And how should I "realise" that -- by taking your word for it? Actually, the word in the Old Testament that's commonly translated as "Angel" meant messenger, a type of job, which in itself implied a male at the time. And as far back as Exodus, "the Angel of the Lord" is mixed interchangeably with god HIMself: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+3:2-4&version=KJV And that's the King James Translation, which was begun in 1604, completed in 1611. Naw, a properly trained dog with proper space, exercise, and stimulation will be fine when left alone. The problem is that people with no clue of how to train an animal get dogs, then accidentally train them TO howl and act crazy. The owners of those dogs just literally don't know what they're doing: they leave the dog alone for two minutes, the dog cries, so they go back to the dog. This TEACHES the dog that crying = return of owner, so they cry for longer next time, if the owner hasn't come ba…

That's the best reason to have multiple dogs. Train one alone to begin with, then when it's very used to you as master, maybe after a few years, get another. It'll help you train the next. Never need to be alone, always have a pack, the dogs will have company when you're not around and be more balanced, etc. However, you can also mitigate loss SOMEWHAT by preparing for it. Always remind yourself that the relationship is transient. Treasure it more for the transcience, but also prepare for losing…

Dogs are actually really good at not crapping in the house. They basically come pre-designed to avoid crapping in the house (or learn REALLY quickly), and will learn not to pee too, if you take them outside to pee regularly for a while.

My cat has been a health disaster from day one. My dog is the picture of health. Dogs are bigger animals, so (as long as it's not taken to extremes with huge dogs that have heart / limb problems) they're more likely to be resilient to issues like not being able to eat for a few days. They also communicate better, so you've more sense of what's wrong, and how to fix it. They lack automony. Not true. A dog will totally go sulk in the corner if it's not happy with you, or cry if it wants to play with you more than you're playing with it, or willfully ignore you if it's tired and you tell it to do something, etc. The difference is that most of the time, despite being capable of all that (AND ripping your throat out) they don't: they're loving companions, who trust and choose to obey you, because they get that it's a good relationship. Cats basically just come to h…
/r/MGTOW11/09/17 06:28 PM

Cats aren't really as good as companions, though. No offense, but they're just not. They're actually a lot like women, I think: they just want you to feed them and mechanically want petted, but there's no real relationship there: they'll literally eat you if you die. Dogs will love you, relate to you, play with you, feel sad with you, and cry if you die.

My advice is to get out of the apartment. Get a house in the country. If you're MGTOW you'll probably eventually find that you hate the way society is going too much to have neighbors just through the wall/ceiling. Some space between you and society's modern nutcases is a great thing, given the way free speech and rights are going. Especially if that space also serves as a space for one or more dogs.

This is the most rights-ignorant comment I've seen in quite a while. Any citizen can arrest any other citizen, at any time, if they feel they're commiting a crime. A citizen can even arrest or shoot a cop, if necessary and proportionate to prevent crime. You simply have to be sure you're doing the right thing in each case. Know your rights. And the rights of people around you.

It's PPD because the original debate was about looking for a nice partner, and they tried to devolve it into how men are untrustworthy (implying that women are more trustworthy), so nothing they say they want should be trusted. i.e., ignore the claims about ruthless women, give them a free pass without any real debate, and hate on the men instead.

She said it because a huge part of her campaign was riling up females to vote for her, even if it meant promoting sexism and dividing society. Clinton even thanked the feminists and their "hidden facebook groups" in her concession speech. My ex was a feminist in one of those groups, and I can tell you they're pretty fucked up. Women from around the world, conspiring online against their partners etc.

Not sure about that, if it's seen in public. I'm not from the US, but my understanding is that it's a federal crime (punished by the government if it happens), not an interpersonal dispute (sued by the other party in a private lawsuit if they feel they have a case). Could be wrong.

I'm sad to see this, actually. It's more of the "manspreading" BS, which pushes the idea that people should never relax on public transport. That harms men AND women. Yes, people should try to take up less space on a train, but ONLY when the train is reaching capacity. Even in this picture, there is one, possibly two OTHER seats free, so the woman should absolutely feel free to leave her bag there, and even to discourage company if she's PREFER not to have it. The elite have the most complex ways of influencing society. They basically have no need to do anything, except sit around thinking of ways to use their money and power to generate more money and power, or at least sustain the wealth that they have already as the world moves forward and other elites try to get ahead of them.

And in some religions, only the latter part exists -- not all religions believe in god, etc. I think the real issue is joining some religious institution, which tells people that they must not have a sex …

You know, there might actually be a biological drive going on here... "alpha" girls controlling beta girls, to prevent them from breeding. Really though, I think the main thing is the CIA driving feminism, using women as "useful idiots", to create a culture where women will work for their capitalist corporate masters (also pushing down wages for men, by increasing job competition), fight in their armies (as men become disillusioned with war and see through their role as cannon fodder), etc.

Well, from what I've heard, women's desire for western music and fashion and their participation in black markets to get those things, and their expectation for partners to have those things probably did a lot to undermine soviet society. But don't forget that capitalism was at war with them, deliberately pushing a that "better" lifestyle. i.e., more trinkets, just like the old worlders used on Native Americans to screw up their society too and create inroads.

Sublimation is when, instead of fighting or suppressing/ignoring a negative/unhelpful emotion, you "modify" the drive into something higher. Like turning your anger about mistreatment as a slave into a passion for learning the law and abolishing slavery, for instance. It feels like feminism has become less about fixing some of the issues women face and more about making them feel entitled It's basically just the teenage girl school cliquey/bitchy in-crowd thing, for girls who never grew up. But to stay in the clique, to create an "us", they have to have something to hate -- a "them" for the them-vs-us -- and play along with hating it.
/r/PussyPassDenied09/05/17 10:39 PM

Government and capitalism led to it. The only people to benefit from women acting like men and hating them are corporations who need more people competing with men for jobs, and government who need the population divided so they can rule. You seem to be attempting some straw-man argument, that having free time to do what you want makes no sense. This would be as opposed to having unfree time, to do what someone else wants.
