Still a good read for the newcomers.

I would have made it clear that I was only going to meet her at the place I suggested for our mutual convenience. He pulled the trigger prematurely, but I'm open to the idea that this reaction was for the best.

I agree with you, it could be awkward and annoying. A way to avoid that is to just nod and practice your gane with them, it will provide something positive out of the interaction. The goal would be getting out of the situation with the other person liking you or trusting you more. Be present and enjoy what you can of every situation.

Laught it off, do not apologize, and keep your mind in the present. This works wonders for me; if someone wants to drag me into something unpleasant, I just laught it off, and keep myself entertained with those complains or rants, and never empathize with them. Obviously, you need to calibrate the "laugh it off" part between a nod with a cheeky grin and actually LOLng in their faces. If they get annoyed by this, and want to escalate negatively, you just defuse it with a light hearted smile, igno…

That could be nice, but it will never happen.

Is okay to ask for an opinion, perspective is key in TRP. OPs got a good deal with her, but he needs to know that this situation will end eventually, so he must be prepared to leave the comfort she provides; he needs to have at least 2 other plates right nowfor back up, while continue to apply his dreadgame to this girl. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

No wonder why you left, I bet she was not worth it.

You did what you felt was right, but a better way to handle that is just to disappear quietly, no harsh words, no drama, just be out of their lives.

Is not about protecting their feelings, is about protecting yourself and your time. At the beginning you tried to play it cool and tried to banter your way out of it, this escalated negatively, then you calibrated your approach and offered him guidance and insight, this escalated positively and could have ended with you having a new acquaintance or a friend. You did well at the end and showed a little mercy and were polite, this is the essence of how a true leader and mature man stands his groun…

Especially in the US, apparently everyone could get a gun quite easily.

Knowing there are potential risk for behaving like that is important. I understand that sometimes is quite safe to chill, but in this cases is not worth the risk, as OP implies, the other guy was virtually weaker than him judging by his looks, but that does not mean he could pose no threat to him in someway, like escalating the drama and waste your precious time, or ending with the cops in the scene to stop a street fight. Is just not worth it, there was no win in that situation. I like how he h…

Maybe not a house, but the land itself is what grows in value. But I agree, with the exceptions, especially is the girl is well connected, is rich and is submissive.

That was brutal... I didn't like your first reply, but I like the way you handled the rest. Be careful with how you deal with strangers, being a smartass like that could get you killed. The woman could claim you were groping/raping her, giving the boyfriend a way out of harming you in anyway. Glad you know it was not cool how you reacted at first.

This, money + real skills. Contact a lawyer as soon as possible, ask for advice, be one step ahead. Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best, and by "best" I mean, "being the guy who raped a girl", game over, there is no coming back from that.

... Dude, don't get too attached. Given the chance she would bang him, get his seed, and make you rise his child. Women want the best seed they can possibly acquire. Thread carefully.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
