What you seem to miss is that children watch pornography too. Most children are exposed to porn before age 13.

Viewers like the “step” pornography because it creates a baseline intimacy that can’t be created in most pornographic films because the actors can’t act.!

They definitely tell women because it’s a medical procedure. The fathers may or may not be traumatized emotionally, but physically they are not unlike women. It’s like a period dialed up to 1000 both physically and emotionally. The babies don’t have any consciousness and are unaffected in 99.9% of cases.

You won’t find proof that female humans do all of the cooking or hunting. It just isn’t a thing. Especially because what makes humans unique in the animal kingdom is our cultural plasticity.

You should check out the YouTube channel “tasting history”. Men were cooks in lots of circumstances. So were women. Because every human eats food.

Abortion is traumatic to women’s bodies. Women who choose abortion have to weigh the long term side effects against their reasons why. It is a difficult choice to make.

Do you have any evidence that historical “bang maids” took “immense pride” in their role? I’d argue that the skyrocketing divorce rate after legalization is evidence against this notion.

I can’t imagine myself as a man. I’ve always known I’m a female, maybe it’s due to my upbringing but I’ve always known what that meant and had a realistic view of the life ahead of me. Maybe if it was guaranteed to be temporary, I’d give it a try for a day but I don’t think I’d like it. For all the downsides, I’m glad I have a womb and can create life and I enjoy my material role in our species. Additionally, there’s nothing like 13 orgasms in a row which is my current record. Cheers

What ideal state can be achieved under the material conditions, in your eyes?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 09:16 PM

Actually, we don’t need a moral framework to identify entitlement. In behavioral ecology, we can view entitlement as a mismatch between an organism's investment and its expected return. When I call the behavior entitled, I’m describing the biological anomaly of a member of a species demanding a high value resource (reproductive access) while bypassing the established fitness signals or competitive costs required by that species mating system. By dismissing this as “receiving or not receiving”, y…

With so and so? My original point was about the material reality of the sexes. That is, females have a higher reproductive investment. When I said “animals don’t take an issue”, I was referencing the fact that they’ve adapted to this reality. I supposed you could argue that men complaining is a form of social adaptation, but you’re not making that argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 08:11 PM

Your original point was that animals “don’t have an issue”. However there is no evidence to that, other than the fact that animals don’t speak human language and cannot advocate for themselves. My counterpoint is there are measurable ways to assess animal welfare without direct communication from the animals, and a lack of human language based communication from them is not an indication that they “don’t have an issue”.

Other animals certainly have issues with that. Why do you think “pasture raised” is a thing? Why do you think factory farmers have to inject their animals with hormones, vaccines, and other chemicals? This shows a serious lack of understanding of how domesticated animals actually live.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 06:46 PM

The risks are negligible? For pregnancy and reproduction? Really? That’s your opinion? Examples are abundant. Females carry, nurse, and take on most reproductive responsibilities in nearly every species on earth. It is the function of being female.

It’s crazy to me how men continually fail to understand that female reproductive investment is much higher and therefore females will always have higher standards. Males of other species with similar arrangements have little issue living with that reality. Why are human men so entitled? For those who don’t understand my use of the word “entitled”: In behavioral ecology, we can view entitlement as a mismatch between an organism's investment and its expected return. When I call the behavior entitl…

I meant single men living long lives, but you’re right that it’s overly simplistic. The purpose was to illustrate that single men are expendable, used as soldiers / fodder / bodies in war. I disagree that patriarchy is inherently competition within the male class. I argue that it’s a coalition built for lower status males to gain higher status than they would alone. Even within the hierarchy’s lower levels they gain privilege / access to females. You definitely have a point about female competit…

Only in porn, I don't really look at people irl. Porn is the scientific equivalent of a beetle fucking a beer bottle. Obviously beetles don't have beer bottle sexuality. Sexuality is not based on supernormal visual stimulus

I’m not bisexual, please don’t speculate on my sexuality. I don’t watch gay porn of either sex just straight porn. Again I think because of conditioning. But I don’t find women attractive physically. Studies show that when straight women and gay men are exposed to androstadienone, the pheromone in men, the parts of their brain that show sexual attraction are stimulated. Some women also emit these pheromones, which causes them to be perceived as masculine. I’m not sure if they’ve tested it as a perfume, but it’s possible.

Nah bro I have tried and it didn’t turn me on at all. Men do. Sexuality is based on pheromones, this is scientifically proven.

Agree to disagree. The noun, ie human, is included in the context. Female is used as a colloquialism for female human unless otherwise specified. Also, female is shown to be used as a noun in the dictionary.

That’s not what is being claimed. Females get aroused by most sexually stimulating media regardless of orientation, and the theory is that it’s due to rape. Not that they’re aroused by rape.

I think it’s because of conditioning. I say this as a straight woman with the predicament you describe. Every film I grew up seeing portrayed women as beautiful and sexy and men as just kind of there. Same with all the pornography I grew up seeing. I was very confused as a child, even told my dad I thought I was gay because I would watch the women in porn. He accurately explained to me that’s just how porn is. So years of watching porn from the age of 12 have conditioned me to find females more …

Responding to your edited-in points: I never claimed any “elite hivemind” forcing identical outcomes across every society. My argument is simpler: labor people consider low status, repetitive, or undesirable is often assigned to groups with less bargaining power, and sex has frequently been one mechanism for that. Sex differences and reproductive realities can influence labor divisions, but they do not fully explain why unpaid domestic labor is so often expected, devalued, or treated as natural …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 12:58 AM

It’s true that lower status groups are often used for many forms of undesirable labor. Your point about illegal immigrants working farms, factories, slaughterhouses, and construction actually supports my argument: societies routinely push difficult, low status, low paid work onto people with the least bargaining power. This thread was about domestic labor, so that was the category I focused on. And yes, American culture was profoundly shaped by slavery. Slavery influenced the economy, political …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 12:53 AM

Obviously it varied over time because American slavery lasted hundreds of years. However, not every household needed to personally own enslaved or indentured labor for the system to shape domestic work. In 1860, about 25% of household in slave states owned slaves, and in some states it was near half (around 49% in Mississippi, 46% in South Carolina). That’s a massive share of owners. And even those numbers understate participation, because many non-owning households rented enslaved labor, worked…

I appreciate you sharing the philosophy. I will just say as a closing, I’m not sure I agree I believe it just for validation. I’ve always noticed a real physiological difference before and after sexual release that has helped me manage stress, particularly during ovulation. I found a partner who believes and feels the same. Perhaps different humans just experience things differently (maybe that’s a “duh” thing to say though lol)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 09:44 PM

Totally agree. Plus, history is difficult to get into sometimes because so many moving parts make it very complex. It’s not summarizable. That’s why there’s so many history books examining the many, many different human perspectives. At the end of the day, for a lot of human history domestic labor wasn’t even paid. For women today, it still isn’t paid. It exists in this weird liminal space where we all know it’s work, but we don’t acknowledge it as work. Except for if we have the means to pay so…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 08:48 PM

I think something missing from all of these discussions is historical background. In many parts of the world, day to day chores were pushed onto lower class people. In Europe this was serfs, maids, etc. In America this was slaves, indentured servants. In the Arabic world it was slaves. In parts of Asia this was servants as well and so on. As caste / class systems have evolved and slavery has been abolished worldwide, the work was shifted onto women. Technology was developed. In many parts of the…

Yes dolphins and their rape coalitions. It’s really no different from human male “rape academies” we’ve been hearing about lately. Obviously the “academy” aspect is a social adaptation to avoid the legal consequences (which are also a social adaptation to regulate male violence, among other things of course). It’s layered because humans are more complex, but at the end of the day we are still animals.

What’s crazy is the fact that it’s a shit deal for most women is exactly why so many species have males whose entire existence is about getting women to have their offspring. It’s why certain species like marmosets and tamarins or seahorses see fathers take all childcare during early life. Why many male birds have beautiful feathers while the females are dull. It’s why, sadly, species of sharks bite and rape females to impregnate them. It’s also why some primates like chimpanzees build coalition…

Females are the sexual selectors in most species. In humans, the female investment is high so this is even more prevalent. Males work to win female favor to continue their line. That could look like coalition building (patriarchy), physical domination (rape), romance, economic status / ability to provide for offspring, etc. Males have always been more upset about being unmarried and childless. Unmarried and childless men are low status and expendable. That’s why you don’t find very many single m…

A lack of sanitation won’t necessarily kill you either. As you’ve been saying, it’s a matter of semantics and opinion. Even too many antibiotics can kill by destroying microbiota in and on the body- does that mean they’re not a need or a lifesaving solution to many diseases? No. These things are not so cut and dry

lol at the end of your comment (in a nice way) Cleanliness is also a “nice to have”, yet sanitation saves lives. In a way it’s a need, yet people lived without it for thousands of years. The line between need and want isn’t as concrete as it seems you think it is, but that’s my opinion.

I can’t speak for everyone but for me it’s important to say sex is a need because it explains my personal experiences with sex and horniness. I grew up Mormon and struggled with horniness my entire adolescence. My mom took me to urgent care multiple times for being horny. I struggled with intrusive sexual thoughts and the only way to manage them was to masturbate. When I say sex is a need, I mean sexual release not sex with a partner. It’s important to me because it normalizes my experiences and…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 02:21 AM

Ok, so we agree homicide can be subdivided when distinctions matter. Degrees describe intent and circumstance. Terms like femicide describe victim targeting or motive, which also matter legally and statistically. Why is one kind of categorization acceptable to you but not the other?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 02:19 AM

Interesting. So you think all homicide should be treated exactly the same? Do you think there should be a distinction of degrees? Such as first, second, manslaughter, etc? Or all exactly the same regardless?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 01:10 AM

You don’t think using terms to distinguish things is important? Obviously it’s homicide either way. There’s also infanticide. Lots of terms for types of homicide exist. Why do you draw the line of “discrimination” at gender? Is it ageist to specify infanticide? Is it classist to specify regicide?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 12:05 AM

So because women require their own terms and laws they aren’t people? That makes sense to you? You do realize androcide exists too right?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 08:53 PM

I agree with you. A doctor or similar professional might be a virgin at age 30 because they were too busy with school. It happens. People are way too judgmental.

I agree on some level that due to the communal nature of primates and humans, not all of us need to reproduce. Hence the existence of homosexual, asexual, etc humans and primates. That doesn’t change the fact that reproduction is a biological imperative and for most humans, a need. Some organisms fail to reproduce, and that’s normal, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a need. Organisms reproduce, that is the nature of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 08:48 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 04:40 AM

Yeah I’m sure, men are disgusting but that doesn’t invalidate my point. The problem with men is that the societal narrative is the need for sex = entitlement to it = entitlement to women’s bodies = women are just bodies they’re entitled to. Sex isn’t the problem. Masturbation isn’t the problem. Being horny isn’t the problem. Sorry to belabor the point, but it’s an important one to make clear.

This this this. When I first went through puberty I got the equivalent of a female erection lasting longer than 4 hours and my mom gave me an ice pack and took me to urgent care. She said she didn’t think she would need to talk to me about masturbation because I’m a girl. My body wanted sex, needed sex, regardless of the social and cultural powers telling me it wasn’t a need. It took years for me to accept that I do need sex and I’m not a bad person for being horny.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 11:58 PM

As a horny woman who has been horny since I first went through puberty, I disagree completely. Sex is a need. It may be unfulfillable with others and that’s why masturbation is important, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a need.

I think you can say they don’t apply anymore when it’s no longer in living memory. My grandmother got remarried 10 times because she needed financial security and is still alive. In the West, you aren’t supposed to say things which are unflattering to PEOPLE as a group. You’re not even really supposed to say anything unflattering about groups ever. It’s called stereotyping. “The West” is mainly made up of multi-ethnic, multicultural settler colonial states founded by Europeans. These Europeans admitted, killed, and forcibly moved people around the world to develop their colonies. Pluralism is the consequence. Pluralism = co-existing with others from different cultural ba…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 04:57 AM

You fail to recognize that women are more “privileged” because they are more selective. When I say rights I mean things like being able to get divorced and have financial independence, which means women aren’t completely dependent upon men and don’t need men. Meaning, they can be highly selective. Which again, is part of what females do biologically due to reproductive investment.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 02:51 AM

I think we all need to accept the material reality of the human species, which is that women, like all mammalian females and beyond mammals as well, are much more selective with their partners by nature of their reproductive investment. It’s a man / male’s job to convince the women to invest in him, not the other way around. Patriarchal systems are coalitions by males to democratize reproduction and give males more access to women, and that coalition system is falling apart because women have mo…

What exactly is a “lack of sex”? Sex is not an object. It’s an activity that requires two people. You aren’t entitled to sex. If no one wants to have sex with you and it’s that important, you need to reflect on why and work on whatever it is. Either that or accept yourself fully and accept celibacy.

You keep changing the subject. The orgasm gap isn’t about which women men should date or how to optimize compatibility. It’s a population level disparity between male and female orgasm rates in heterosexual sex. You asked me for sources, I gave them. You’ve now given me percentages with no citations and a dating strategy. If you have actual studies supporting your numbers, post them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/26 01:51 AM

We can acknowledge variation without pretending variation disproves the pattern. The orgasm gap is a population level effect. Women who orgasm from penetration easily are a small subgroup. Women who orgasm easily period, like myself, are a small subgroup. Using the exception to argue away the rule is just bad logic. A lot of your statements here are fallacious.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/26 12:16 AM

Women who orgasm easily from penetration are a minority. Pointing to them doesn’t refute population data. Variation inside a group doesn’t erase a pattern. And anecdotes from your dating life aren’t evidence against research.

Even the women who orgasm from penetration alone have more difficulty achieving orgasm than men. Men can achieve orgasm easier than women, it is a scientifically observable fact. I do not claim to speak for all women, but I can speak better for them than a man can.

I think it’s because both women and men are socially conditioned not to prioritize female orgasm. I’ve always been able to reliably and repeatedly orgasm as soon as I started masturbating. My record is 13 in one session and I average 3-5 every other session. It doesn’t take me long once I get going, but that first orgasm can be elusive.
