Its probably more the fact that much of M/F porn is more degrading than the woman audience may prefer. I think this is less a sign of sexual preference by sex and more so shows the atmosphere that women prefer.

I think its pretty obvious why people (especially women, at least from a heteronormative perspective) confidence is attractive. I just wish more people didn't conflate confidence and competence. Some people who are good at faking it, don't really bring much to the table, and some less "confident" people are much more competent. There are also extreme biases present tied to extroversion vs introversion with percieved confidence but thats a topic for another day.

I see the logic, and I actually agree with it to an extent, but you have to realize that this has some really negative implications for greater society. I think this energy is better served towards improving laws tied to paternal rights, and more social services that support families bringing up children. The sad truth is that this is a topic along the lines of biological sex that can never be 100% fair both ways. Females are the ones who carry children so males don't need to "destroy" their bod…

Dont throw evolution at the end in this. Too many people throw in selection too easily with social constructs and it doesnt really hold water under svrutiny. Just make your opinion and leave it at that.

I see where you are coming from here, but I think your comment here makes more sense as a claim than just saying people only dislike hookup culture if they can't partake in it. I think your point is better put by saying many people act like they dislike hookup culture because of the precedent, when they actually dislike it because they can't partake in it. Small adjustment but it changes the message quite a bit.

I mean of course you can dislike it. You can dislike hookup culture and not want to partake in it, but still respect those who do. I don't view sex in a casual way so hookup culture is something I dislike. That being said, I understand that not everyone views sex the way I do and there is nothing wrong with that. Why are people unable to just realize that you can view sex differently than each other, and thus come to different opinions? As long as you are respecting other people's decisions that…

This is such a weird framing of peer pressure. Your argument has little to do with the "good of peer pressure" and more-so being open to having "fun" or being more care free. Even the drugs/alcohol example doesn't make sense because the idea of not drinking/performing drugs can also be a form of peer pressure as well depending on the culture. Remember, you would only believe peer pressure is good if said examples of peer pressure already aligned with your perspective on what is "good" or "benefi…

I mean if the only thing that matters as a man is "bagging" women then you are right, being labelled that wouldn't matter, but I would argue there is a lot more to being a man than that. Just because you treat women like shit does not mean no women will want to date you, I think we can all think of examples of people in shitty relationships that proves this so. I think it would be better to frame this as don't care about what people think of you, if they don't truly know you. Its easy to create …

I think this post comes from a good place, but it is largely assumptive. Who says men don't find fufillment in their own lives? You commented that it seems like more men seem to struggle outside of a relationship than women, and I have to completely disagree with this point. I have met so many women who are always in a relationship despite just breaking up with a past partner. They will have a new partner within the week if they want it. This doesn't mean all women do this, but I have seen way m…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
