Sometimes instead of making fun of someone, it's more appropriate to ask if they are ok.

So true! I dated the same guy 4 times unfortunately. I met him at 18 and went back to him until I was 30. His family was very sweet and he's like their baby. They would never ever ever guess that he's actually an entitled ass. I felt self-conscious around his family who judged me for breaking up with him multiple times. There was no way to redeem myself in their eyes. Just a lose lose situation for me.

Ho. Lee. Shit. I'm a single mom who moved with my very young son to a new city for a job (dad is no contact). I raised my young son alone while learning a very challenging new job. There was a period of two months where I stayed up until midnight each night studying and trying to stay afloat. Sometimes that means cracking open a truly or making some coffee, whatever you have to do. This experience is not unique to many single moms and I'm appalled that this entitled man thinks he can desert ever…

I'm so thankful they can't touch our posts on here. In one other female-centered sub that I know of, women can't post without their DM's getting pummeled by irate men. For example a girl posted that just because a woman slaps a man that he shouldn't be able to knock her out cold with one punch. She was also addressing how men cheer and basically jerk off to videos where this happens. Her DM's were DESTROYED by men attacking her for this opinion...on a female sub! When I supported her post with m…

Oh. My. God. A reflection of how he sees 13-year-old girls. It's almost better when scrotes reveal themselves so blatantly.

I swear this thread is full of brilliant freaking epiphanies. These are things I've seen for YEARS but never called it for what it is.

My sister invites this one hot, kinda punk rock, skater guy to our girl skate sessions and then acts overly "tough". She stopped shaving her armpits and burps loudly, and raves to all of us that he's HER BEST FRIEND. She leers at me everytime I talk to him, or she'll interrupt and one-up me. She wants him all to herself and just invites him to show him she's cool. Even though she's married. But it's ok bc that's her BEST FRIEND. It's making me not like my sister.

To elaborate, my ex proposed to me after 8 months and I told him that I'm just not ready. I needed more time. I didn't know his patterns well enough yet. It's like he was trying to lock me in before I could tell he had control problems. He got super pissed and dramatic when I said I wasn't ready. But yeah also maybe I'm just not mentally ready to plan a whole fucking wedding! Give me some time. Or maybe you caught me off guard with your proposal and I need to sleep on it for a month. Shit. Be pa…

That's super validating and I appreciate it! You're right, there's so many subliminal messages about fawning over "dreamy" guys and looking prettier than other women. We're here bc we're sick of it and our girl friends are actually the ones building us up!

Yes! That is such a good point about being deprived of a sense of peace and security and handling it by outsourcing it from men. I'm having awareness on this topic lately.

Super well said!! I finally feel like male attention is not worth risking getting into another bad relationship.

Thank you! As a recovering Pickme, I still kind of thrive on validation from others and I'm relieved that I can get that from a community of cool, strong women and not LVMs who bait me with compliments just to use me up.

That means so much to me, thank you! My self esteem is restored just from acknowledging the reasons that led me to be incapable of being single. Being single used to make me panic, bc abandonment gives a physical "fight or flight" adrenaline rush. So I was aggressively looking for some to attach to. Recovering from abandonment is probably the answer for many pickme's!

Thank you!! It felt so counterintuitive to let these guys go without "fixing them" first, and I think I did that bc I wanted to believe my mom and dad could be fixed. Once I let my unfortunate parents go, I was able to gain self respect and let these LVMs go too. I am totally wiped out from wasting my energy!

Guys in their mid-twenties who are too immature and low value to attract a woman their age will go for teenage girls and convince them they're mature for their age.

Yes! I'm having to dump my boyfriend bc he had various tantrums and controlling behaviors, even though he's very sorry and is trying to make up for it now. I say "having to dump" bc it's my obligation to dump him bc I don't know if he'll be true to his word and I'm not putting myself at the risk of witnessing another tantrum. Maybe he'll change, but in my experience that doesn't actually happen. They just change until they feel safe and like they aren't in the doghouse anymore.

In response to the "Give a free bj to a small penis man...just leave us out of it" commenter: I am not arguing with women on this sub about their preferences. I was genuinely looking for an explanation on that one topic bc I want to see both sides so that I can better relate and grow in this sub. I received a gracious explanation from someone else that I feel happy with. It was the opposite of your confrontational response. I hope you feel good about bashing a sister on this sub and adding extre…

I agree with literally everything except the tiny penis thing. I've mentioned it before but no one commented. I become furious when guys badmouth an imperfect female body part, so I really don't like talking negatively about small penises. Body image stuff is hard. Right? EDIT: I truly am hoping for feedback on this. I love this sub. I just want to know whats up with the tiny penis thing.

Based on my experience with my 1 child who is almost 5 now, and also as someone who worked in 4 different daycares, I will not have another child unless I can stay home with them until age 2. Daycares are often great but are also often not great. They often don't think to give babies water throughout the day or take them outside. They get very low stimulus which stalls their brain development. They also feed them super processed and low quality food which does not help their brain development ei…

I knew he wanted kids and I was considering it. After a year with him I knew that I didn't want kids with him bc he's controlling and has a temper.

True in my experience that they want something from us! Sex or kids is a big one. I just told my bf of a year that I don't want kids and he flipped and told me I ruined his life. Of course they want kids bc they don't understand the physical toll it takes on us to be preganant and breastfeed for 2 years, and the emotional toll it takes on us to be so crybaby in love with our babies and fearful for their health and safety (I have 1 already). Having babies is 100x more difficult for the mom, espec…
