There are plenty of legal benefits to marriage, including tax advantages, sharing health insurance, power of attorney, inheritance, and social security benefits. I would argue if you want entirely separate finances there is no reason to marry.

Men fantasize about being a father, passing their genes/name on for their "legacy"

Is autism higher in IVF, or just older pregnancies?

Women can (should?) still lift and increase their smv. Don't be a neck beard regardless of gender.

I was so thirsty for this specific guy in college and he straight told me he doesn't date virgins. Hurts man but okay, thanks for being honest. I stopped flirting and moved on, but we were still involved in the same things and a few weeks later he just wouldn't stop hitting on me and I was so confused after that. God I wanted that dude so much but was afraid and embarrassed to recriprocate after he shut me down that hard, I didn't know what to do and froze up.

We absolutely have this power but gross.

I make more than my husband, and it's never men who get offended when they hear our job titles or educational attainment discrepancy. Even my "free thinking" feminist sister thinks poorly of our lives (meanwhile she's studying medicine while dating an art major, no hypocrisy there haha) I was looking for a partner, not a sugar daddy.

Banning abortions not likely to happen? There is one PP clinic in the state of North Dakota and there are regularly protestors that yell at and shame women for entering. If you lived in the western side of the state, you could have to travel 7+ hours to even get there. Laws to prevent services are stricter all the time, some southern states have 6 or 8 week limitations. Fake clinics lie to women about their options and the term of their pregnancy so they'll wait and miss the legal window. Change…

He broke a promise repeatedly then covered it up, then told you to just get over it. Why would you trust him ever again after that?

Sounds like you were right when you called it if the first time. You have nothing in common except you met at church, you're afraid of his temper after only a few months, and now he's being emotionally distant to punish you. Your post suggests you are only ever together in public, am I understanding that correctly? He shouts and loses his temper in public when you "do something wrong" does not suggest great things for any future wife or children of his.

Your question presupposes perfect mental clarity, logic and long term thinking. But in the moment, an attractive, charming, desirable man is giving attention to a (likely inebriated) low self esteem woman, literally exactly what she wants right now to feel good about herself and the reason she put on that dress tonight. Being desired does everything for ego. It's exciting. It feels good right now and right now is all she's concerned with. Why do people watch hours of TV and skip the gym? Or get …

I wish I could quit my job, but the math just isn't there. It does similar things to me, emphasizes competitiveness and waiting to speak rather than listening.

A hot man chose me tonight = feels awesome, I'm so fuckin sexy. emotional high. I imagine it's like junk food or drugs. You feel worse after the high is done but you do it again anyway.

He loves her more than he loves you, period. He will choose her over you until the day she dies. Momma's boys never change. You think it's bad now? Just wait until you have children, she's will undermine your every decision.

I consider martial harmony when my husband and I disagree, but this typically manifests in things like paint color or which restaurant we should visit or what movie we should watch. I'm sure he does the same for me as well, these types of things are not worth an argument. These are small things, not a car so expensive that makes it so we can't afford lightbulbs! Some people need to get their way 100% of the time. If you ask your husband's opinion on wallpaper or wedding invitations or what you s…

My husband is also a house spouse. It may not be common but it works for us.

I have red hair, historically that's all I've ever needed to get a man's attention. Also I can cook. Seriously though, I'd stand out because I have my own interests and hobbies. I'm supportive of my husband's hobbies, even when they don't align with mine. I don't want to be the same person he is, I don't need to be with him every free moment. It seems a lot of my male friends complain their wives and girlfriends demand 100% overlap in interests. They get dragged along to things they hate (the pr…

Somebody that is mean 20% of the time is a mean person. Or at the very least, an incredibly unstable, unpredictable person. I'd be uncomfortable around someone if one out of five interactions were mean.

It doesn't sound like he's "not into you" at all, it sounds like he's incredibly unhealthy. Go work out on your own. You don't need him to lead you to the gym and help you. Find a group class or a gym which offers a free personal training session (YMCA, even Planet Fitness). Tell him you want to start on X day, buy your gym clothes, and go. Just go, he'll feel shame real fast and will end up there with you shortly. Keep going even when he doesn't want to. Go for you, it'll help your confidence.

How will you feel when he doesn't reply? Maybe he's out at the bar picking up other women and driving them to work the next day?

Money -- I am great at budgeting and saving. I pay the bills, manage our investments, and churn credit cards for travel rewards. Many friends have come to me with questions about their finances, mortgages, debt repayment, or how to determine the best tax allocation of their retirement funds. I am able to explain these concepts well. Cooking -- My repertoire of recipes that my husband and I genuinely enjoy is extensive, but I still love to try new things. I am resourceful, able to cook from the g…
