You don’t put bad food in your mouth because it will eventually catch up with you. Makes you fat and unhealthy. The same applies to your mental health. You’ve been feeding it junk. Lie, cheat, steal. Get to a place in your career where you can walk away if you’re disrespected—just like in relationships. That means having skills and having savings. I got disrespected a few weeks ago (passed up for a promotion for completely BS reasons; was told I’d get it a year ago; giving notice as soon as conflicts clear with my new employer).
