It depends entirely on the person, people’s intentions vary significantly. While someone may be trying to just have sex, someone else might actually be interested in some sort of relationship, and another person might not be interested in either, as they may just want a friend to talk to.

It would not be the best idea because these women would be disingenuous and would leave you in a heartbeat if any financial struggles occurred. Also they would eventually end up taking a lot of your hard earned money one way or another. If you’re gonna use money for sex, just go for an escort. They’ll be a lot cheaper in the long run, and they aren’t going to be trying to pull shady moves behind your back

Trust me, it’s not as easy as it seems. There is a distinct possibility that if you manage to reach a “bestie” level of friendship with someone of the opposite sex, one of you will end up catching feelings for the other, which could end up really well or end up getting in the way. I would suggest just going up and talking to her. If there is all that history of friendship and talking then it should be super easy to start up a convo because it isn’t a cold approach. Just say something witty about how you guys stopped talking or something and take the convo from there.
