You're using the very popular but very ineffective strategy of labeling everyone who disagrees with you a "Nazi". It works on people who already want to hate and disregard all contrary viewpoints, but anyone with a shred of objectivity won't buy it.

Always amuses me that "short and sweet" on this subreddit is 500 words minimum. I am convinced that people who post here literally don't know what "brevity" means.

I like to think of every difficulty (getting out of bed, getting started on a new project, etc), as an opportunity to metaphorically lift that weight, and do a "rep for the mind". In other words, it's not merely that you take the action you wanted to take which is good. It's the fact that the action was difficult, and you did it anyway, that builds mental strength. Without that difficulty, you'd never get a chance to grow. So next time you think "I don't feel like doing this", remember, that's y…

I had to stop watching the video because of the husband's whinging. If you're confused how he got cheated on then... wow. Also jesus christ, the court ordered that the OTHER MAN has to pay for the WIFE cheating? What. The. Fuck.?

JBP has never put any thought into the dating world. He's been in a relationship with 1 woman continuously since he was a young child. He legitimately has zero information or experience on the topic. He spoke very poorly of MGTOW and had to retract it later after he realized he jumped the gun. He's just completely outside of his depth on the sexual strategy department. He'd be wise to not talk about it until he's done some research, but I think he doesn't realize anyone exists outside of the BP …

not care about people around you and their perceptions because they won't matter to your well being That's obviously not true if your goal in many cases. Your reputation has a big impact on your life. Also you never know how person truly perceives you I guess that's true.

So how does that apply to this question: Is replying to my ex girlfriends call whose mother just passed away beta? Should I keep ghosting her? Reply if you feel like it? The problem I have with a lot of this is just because your intentions are legit (you're just doing what you want), that doesn't mean the people around you will think they are. People will think you're insecure even though you aren't just because you enjoy delving deep into topics. If your goal is to take on the most alpha role y…

You don't have to eat 5-6 meals a day. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29497353 Based on the current evidence, we conclude that to maximize anabolism one should consume protein at a target intake of 0.4 g/kg/meal across a minimum of four meals in order to reach a minimum of 1.6 g/kg/day. There's also a lot of evidence that intermittent fasting actually helps build muscle. also gonna link this jeff nippard video because it disputes the idea of a maximum protein per meal idea https://www.youtu…

I'm personally skeptical about the porn thing because I don't find it addicting at all. I have no problem using my imagination to fap. Seems like "porn use" is getting conflated with actual masturbation, otherwise it makes no sense to me.

Feminism hasn't been about equality since the first wave.
/r/TheRedPill16/07/18 08:03 AM

I agree with the message of the post for the most part, but disagree with the idea that making ideological arguments somehow makes you a low value man. Feminism isn't going to go away just because you ignore it and lead a good life. There's an army of zombies out there who will continue to push its agenda. The only way to combat ideology is with better ideology. The people you deride for wasting their time are doing a tremendous job of turning the tide, hence feminism is reaching all time lows i…

The hottest women are valued less than the most competent/successful men. Generally speaking, if a given person (man or woman) had the opportunity to spend lunch with either the hottest woman on Earth or someone like Elon Musk or Donald Trump, they're going to go with the latter.

It's not painful, it feels good. I've come to be addicted to it, like I feel psychologically disregulated if I don't do it just one day. If I can do this, anybody can. These are two contradictory statements. For most people, working out doesn't feel good. For most people, it is painful. Every single day, I think "I don't want to work out", but then I do it anyway. It's pure discipline and dedication. There's no addiction involved. For you, it's easy. Obviously you're going to work out every day …

Also, if your girlfriend decided to leave the state with her kid, it is a lot harder to ever see “your family” again if they aren’t your legal family. Lots of potential pitfalls with that family scenario as well. Being the father of a child is not contingent upon being married to the mother. AFAIK, it's completely unrelated legally.

I'm not debating that. I'm debating the idea that it makes people uncomfortable because they have to deal with their own thoughts. I think it has nothing to do with that for 99% of people, and everything to do with the fact that silence usually communicates something negative. It's pretty obvious that people are going to want to avoid a negative social signal.
/r/TheRedPill26/05/18 09:31 PM
1

I have a theory this is because they have to deal with their own thoughts It's just because silence is awkward, the same way body language can be awkward. It indicates social incohesion, or disapproval on the part of the one who is silent. Probably has nothing to do with their own thoughts.

Carbs = no ketogenesis. I'm not on a keto diet because it's a lot of effort and I don't see the point, as an already low body fat individual. Just avoid fructose and alcohol so you don't get fatty liver disease. If you're trying to lose weight, keto is supposed to be extremely effective.

It's pretty difficult to tell if a guy is strong just by looking at him. People who train purely for strength tend to either look pretty average, or like a typical fat guy. You can't really see strength in a person, which is mostly neurological. You can only really see hypertrophy which is a product of muscular endurance.

I would agree if we were talking about an a posteriori field, but we're talking about logic, which requires no education. I'd be unimpressed to meet a child who understands axiomatic logic. For the most part, it's something any given caveman from 30,000 years ago could quite easily figure out on their own given some time alone. Most likely, many did so. It's just that, even after the advent of writing, few had the education to know how to write about it, and even fewer had the social standing to…

They were pretty mediocre intellects by today's standards. Diogenes was basically any lifestyle minimalist. If you met him today you'd probably think he's an unproductive low SMV loser. "Meditations" is mostly a mix of common sense and laughably fallacious statements, such as If it does not harm the community, it does not harm its members. and Theophrastus is right, and philosophically sound, to say that the sin committed out of pleasure deserves a harsher rebuke than the one committed out of an…

I've had neck/head pain for many years and it took me a long time to figure out it was due to my posture when using a computer. In the last few weeks I've been paying a lot of attention to keeping my chest up and my head retracted (opposite of forward head posture) and it has immediately, heavily alleviated my issues. Maybe you missed how this comment thread started. Someone said this: It's not just when their party is in power. It's always. Look at the Harvard (Stanford?) prisoner studies. Look at what happens when anyone gets any amount of power. Then I said this: Studies like that don't show what all people are like, just some people. The word "anyone" refers to all individuals, not just groups. If your argument is that this stuff is true of any political party, then yes I agree. The only part I disagreed …

No, hurt_and_unsure brought up statistics. I only responded. In either case, the studies do not demonstrate anything about every person. If they were neurological studies which showed some causal link between the way the brain is structured and behavior, or something along those lines, then yeah maybe it'd apply to (almost) everyone. Instead of using your feels to decide what I do or don't do, how about you use objective facts such as my post history? About 1 day ago, I made a post which cited studies to support my arguments. Women are biologically different from men in many ways, some of which appears as personality traits. For example, women(on average) are higher on Neuroticism and Agreeableness, while men(on average) are higher on Assertiveness and Industriousness[1]. This, and the obvious fact that women have different …

100% agree. I personally wouldn't care how Sara feels, but I'd still feel inclined to tell Cunt that her behavior makes the situation less enjoyable for everyone involved and that I feel embarrassed being near her. If they make fun of me for that then oh well. Why spend your time with people like that? If you weren't there with your friend, you could have communicated all of that with body language and by simply walking away.

I can only speak for myself and from what I've observed, but a woman doesn't get that initial love/appreciation unless she's physically attractive. So the woman has to "earn" it by being in decent physical shape and in most cases by having been born with a pretty face. A man has to "earn" it through perceived power, either social, physical, or otherwise. Obviously it's much, much harder for men, but it's not "unconditional" in either case, I think.
/r/MensRights18/02/18 01:50 AM
2

How is that a problem? Why would I care about a random stranger over my own pet? Furthermore, I feel some responsibility to take care of my pets because I raised them in a way where they don't know how to care for themselves. I have zero responsibility for a random stranger. Obviously the tragedy of a human dying is worse than that of a pet dying, but personally, it's not my concern. If your ideal society requires that people behave irrationally, you should rethink your ideal.
/r/MensRights17/02/18 10:16 PM

To be fair, I think women and dogs aren't loved unconditionally either. A woman or dog who behaves poorly enough isn't going to be loved for long. A child might be. Of course, men are held to a higher standard in everything they do.

Putting yourself first doesn't mean you think you're more important than anyone in an objective sense. Best way to put it is this: You're the only person who's going to advocate for yourself. If you don't stick up for yourself, no one will. You have to look at every interaction with another person as a negotiation. So let me get this straight. The boy wanted the relationship. The woman wanted the relationship. The boy's parents were supportive of it. The only people who didn't accept it was child protective services. I think the problem here is the government. Obviously there's a double standard, but if everyone involved is OK with what's going on, then there's no reason to put an end to it. That would be true if you swapped the genders too.

Not gonna lie, I assume any time anyone makes a universal statement about anything a posteriori, I assume they're an idiot. You see feminists do it all the time. It's funny that people think a race can't get bred out of existence, when there's plenty of historical precedent. The Turks of Turkey, for example, were originally from the steppes of central Asia. Now the original population is nonexistent and completely replaced genetically and culturally. A more short term and modern example is Israel. The Jewish population of Israel went from 8% in 1918 to almost 90% by the 1950s. In a democratic country, is that really ok? To have as many like minded people…

If you're unmarried you're basically a kid, right? Not everyone necessarily wanted to get married. That makes it sound like you mean just what was normal. So which is it? I was talking about law, and when I said "norm" I meant among societies in the pre-modern world. I.e. if it were legal in one nation but illegal in many others, it would not be the norm.

You're replying to me as if I buy into the feminist myths about patriarchy, which I don't, or that I was attributing blame to men, which I wasn't. I was under the impression, from vague memories of previous historical books and articles I had read, that unmarried women being allowed to own property and conduct business was an exception, not the norm. After spending a few minutes of failing on google to substantiate that belief, I'll admit I was likely wrong on that and concede the point.

They needed a husband, m8. There's no question here that they had less control as a result of society not allowing them to earn wealth on their own.

I think this is historically an objective fact. It depends on how far back we're looking, but in most places women weren't allowed to own land and wouldn't be accepted in most occupations, and usually had poorer educations. That's economic control; they lacked the ability to control their destinies in life. Sure they had it easier than men, but the question was control, not ease.

It's funny, because if you did the same thing in any job that has an objective measure of success, you'd immediately see the negative results. First example that comes to mind is competitive gaming, because it gives no physical advantage to males, yet invariably, there are very rarely any female players who come close to pro-level. Imagine if an SC2 (or LoL or Chess even) tournament had the 16 best females and 16 best males compete. The top 16 spots would be 100% male. It's not that women aren't…

I don't have a single friend who is 1/10th as bad as the person you're describing. You should stop talking to her, it's giving you bad ideas of what's "normal".

If you can do multiple chin-ups, you can hold onto a bar for a lot longer than 15 seconds. There is no possible way that that guy really lasted 15 seconds and was trying for real. The grip strength and endurance necessary for doing chin ups is greater than that necessary to hold on to the bar for at least a minute. When I was in highschool, one test was to hold onto a bar while having your arms bent at the elbow at a 90 degree angle, and IIRC I lasted 120 seconds, and I was not extraordinarily s…

The motivation is relevant in establishing moral wrongdoing. That's why we have self defense laws: killing to save yourself is morally different from killing for fun. The distinguishing factor between self defense and murder has nothing to do with motivation. Self defense is when you use physical force necessary to defend yourself. It doesn't matter why you wanted to do it, what matters is the physical necessity of doing it to defend yourself. It's completely possible for a person to not care if…

You're calling it "emotional coercion" but that's not a thing. He wasn't coerced, he was convinced. intentionally facilitating someone's death for some minor personal gain Her motivations are completely irrelevant. I highly encourage you to do some research on these matters. Clinical depression is very different from the standard person's day to day irrationality and comparing the two is absurd. As a person with clinical depression, I find your arrogance is astounding.

When I said "nothing wrong" I meant ethically. There's a difference between being a dick and committing a philosophical wrongdoing. Like, she's not the kind of person I'd want to be friends with, but I also wouldn't call her "evil" or something. You're allowed to talk to people about things they don't want to talk about. If they don't like it, they can stop associating with you. You can say "it's not that simple", but it really is, when you know the person you're talking to is trying to drive yo…

That makes her responsible for his death. I disagree. The only person responsible in a suicide is the person committing the suicide, unless they were under duress, or they were misinformed/tricked into doing something to unwittingly kill themselves. If they knowingly and consensually kill themselves, no one else is at fault. Convincing someone to do something that they fully understand of their own volition shouldn't be a crime.

Ok there's an obvious double standard here if she gets off easy, and the defense's argument is ridiculous, but in reality she didn't actually do anything wrong, did she? She just told her boyfriend things, she didn't force him to kill himself; that was his choice. This really is a matter of free speech. I guess this is an unpopular opinion but I don't see why telling someone to kill themself and how to do it should be illegal.

It's down to subjective interpretation, of course, but I'm seeing the same techniques used in the Vice video as in other TV shows and documentaries when they are trying to drive home the point that what they're showing you is strange/crazy/weird/etc. The images that were chosen for the vid are almost unarguably negative, though. They are almost all quotes of women being called "whores". It's pretty obvious what they were attempting. Examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4PDFaRPKM0&t=8m40s h…

The Vice video was incredibly biased against the MRM. I'm amazed that people haven't noticed that. Kooky music was playing the whole time. The first half was an attempt to make the MRM look obsessed with Karen Straughan, and the second half was full of misogynist-sounding satire taken out of context. Plus a bunch of dumb facebook posts added to make it look like MRAs just complain about women all the time. It was extremely negative publicity in a thinly veiled cover. Also this motherjones articl…

I don't really understand how you're interpreting the analogy that way. The analogy implies that you would throw away all of the M&Ms (men) because of the few bad ones. This, to me, clearly is a statement that all men should be seen in a negative light (thrown away in the analogy) because some of them are bad. I don't know where you're getting "the goal is for men to respect women" out of the analogy. Telling good men that there are bad men isn't going to make the bad men respect women. I have b…

The concept of "free speech" is more broad than you seem to understand. Any action that impedes someone's ability to voice their opinion is a violation of their free speech, regardless of the circumstances. Even if you are justified in violating their free speech (say, a forum moderator banning someone who breaks the forum rules), you are still violating their free speech. "Freedom" just means "the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint." You cannot co…

It's always pretty funny that they cry "rape culture" when people try to give them sensible advice on how to avoid rape. It's equivalent to telling a guy to bring a gun if he's going into the arctic, in case of polar bears, and having this guy become extremely offended that you're a "get mauled by bears apologist", and that he can go to the arctic unarmed if he wants, and that it's the beartriarchy to blame for violence against arctic trekkers.

If my perspective is eliminated, then no value has been lost, because I cease to exist to appreciate value. The very concept of value will no longer be here, once I'm gone. Sure, it'll be here for you, but that's irrelevant to me for my death.

I would also argue that murder eliminates the victim's perspective from existence, meaning the victim is incapable of experiencing pain after the fact. Only the family is affected, and only indirectly. I would rather be murdered than a lot of things, rape included. However, his initial description of what rape is, his own definition of it, is exactly my take on it, and I agree about how hilariously it is exaggerated by SJAs.

"Men's Rights Movement" sounds like a bunch of men just wanting more rights. That's what it is. We want all of our rights unimpeded, not just some of them. We also want women to have all of their rights unchallenged, too. Rights aren't privileges. The maximum number of rights you can possibly have is as many as you would have alone on an island. The only way to change the number of rights someone has is to violate them.

It's the difference between shooting a person in the head and letting another person walking into a train. When you shoot the person in the head, you're responsible. If you let them walk into the train, it's their own fault, you merely stood by in negligence. One is direct, one is indirect. I don't want to be responsible (the government is made of the people in one way or another) for innocent people going to prison. That is the government directly ruining a life.
