You're welcome. Now do something about it!

I wrote "wouldn't". Reading comprehension issues much? And you have the temerity to call me obtuse? Yeah, I'm done with this conversation!

Your point.

Yeah, I've met those as well.

I edited that to "children first" (unborn ones count). The rest of the phrase? Equal rights.

So stop giving them the time of the day, and stop turning patriarchy into a toxic word? It's not one outside of the US.
/r/MensRights09/08/26 09:49 PM

And it seems now we'd need to fight to turn the pendulum back. But then some people forget: fighting is what we do.

Yeah, a lot of people wouldn't appreciate that "favor".

That depends on us all. If it happens as you see it, it's our collective fault.

Hard disagree. I'm not sorry for being born, definitely.

Well, second best after her husband divorcing her and getting the rights...or possibly third best after social care. You can argue the latter either way.

When I was growing up far away from your homeland, "patriarchal" was used as a compliment. Of course, it's got a very different meaning from what modern Western feminists have in mind.

Fun fact: being raised in a patriarchal society, "patriarchy" wasn't a pejorative term. It still isn't, either. Of course, it also has basically nothing in common with how it's being used...

That's disappointing from Melloni.

Both are likely, for different places and periods.

I did elucidate Inna separate reply, do you seriously want me to copy it in every comment in the thread?!? I'd find it self-important if anyone was doing that, frankly.

Bullshit².

I think that's bullshit. I had short hair, grew hair to my waist, cut it off, grew it out again, now I've got a "military hairstyle". Nobody ever had considered my fat ass feminine looking. If anything, the reason for the short hair is to avoid giving your possible opponents handles on your head, if you happen to fight. I cut it off the first time because of being in a hospital and couldn't take care of it. The second time, because I am now focusing on grappling and it's a bother during rolling …

"Unless you want advice on what femininity should be, you don't get to talk to me about masculinity. Which one is it going to be?"

And half of South America speaks the same language.

I wish you luck, but at some point, it would be good for you to start mixing with a heterosocial crowd. Source: I'm more than twice your senior.

That was what I was thinking about, yes. I've never seen them enforced. And I live in a pretty traditional country.

...what kind of entitled people are you used to that you believe looking at them might cause an issue?!? I'd just take my headphones, put them on, do my workout, and leave. I can't tell whether that's a genuinely good advice for you, though. I'm genuinely perplexed.

I don't have an issue with traditional gender roles...but if course, it depends on "which tradition", too.

Dude, I'm here for the discussion on men's rights. I'm not here for a discussion "how to make it sure it doesn't suck any less for women".

Oh yes, that should probably be mandatory. Probably. OTOH, they're more likely to lead their kids out of the zone of strikes, and into a foreign country. AFAIK, they keep sending money home from abroad, so it is still helping Ukraine, too.

Totally agree.

So? All of the former Warsaw Pact countries have that, most of us still do (we dropped it in Bulgaria, as an example, but if it gets restored, it's likely to be male-only again).

Because of war.

Well, your last line is telling. I hear it's been a problem in Rome, too, at one time...

Most likely, given they are getting it wrong.

Actually, a rather balanced article, for once.

Men should talk about their feelings. The caveat is, we should do that with other men.
/r/MensRights14/06/26 06:57 PM

No problem, you misunderstood me, I clarified. No need to thank me, I'm not any kind of star or stuff like it...and I wouldn't thank a star if he replied, either!

I don't, that's why I listed the required number of monsters as "the smallest share". Anything more and it starts getting normalised to be like them...
/r/MensRights14/06/26 06:47 PM

Some men are. If anything but the smallest share of us were like that, there would have been none of the demonstrable progress on women rights. Therefore, it follows that the large majority of us aren't.

Basically this.

"If you're telling me what to do in my life, I'm going to tell you what to do, sis". Now practice, use it, profit.

Yeah, but your problem is basically with your circle not accepting that you like sex. You are not going to change them, you can get a new circle. I can also attest that it has never caused me any issues. Neither with masturbation, nor with anything else. I just don't pay Public Opinion Tax.

I'm circumcised for health reasons. Never been a problem.
/r/MensRights31/05/26 07:44 PM

All I'm going to say is that I don't want that, no.

What she means is "the same as the toxic male characters that you were railing against, they just gender flipped them and are pushing them now". Writing a title is an art for a reason, and she did fine.

men are not happy in a family and don't function well I haven't read anything less true today. Maybe I should visit the flatearthers and see if they can top that... But I doubt it. Men thrive in a family. It's just that some women, sometimes make returning home a chore. Ask me how I know.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
