From the comments section: Everyone climb down off your morality high horse. This is a reprint of a 5 year old story. Read the hints: She had a boyfriend and loved studying dinosaurs at the museum. They were at odds with the museum management and got married to mess with them. The story was well reported at the time. They are playing with all of us for publicity and revenge. They were NOT in a romantic relationship and didn't buy a house together. She HAD A REAL BOYFRIEND at the time. They got d…

I know this is a stupid nitpick, but really, I am asking for my own learning. Wouldn't it make more sense, syntactically as well as conceptually to have the title read, "Not even worth it, GYOW!"?

I don't think that the capacity for saying no comes out of intelligence. Honestly, given that most of the MGTOW in history were philosophers and fairly enlightened people, I would say that one needs the awareness that wisdom brings to be able to see women for what they are.

I have talked with many an old married man, they all told me to a man, roughly, "You don't succeed at marriage, you survive it."

My mother is heavily narcissistic. She wasn't directly abusive, but definitely neglectful. It wasn't my mother that got up every morning with me, it was my father. Hell, I could go days or even weeks between any meaningful interaction with her. She never actually seemed to want to be a mother. But yeah, between her and having every interaction with a female go poorly while growing up, I personally just gave up on them. I went through a "bluepill" phase for a while in my 20s, but it was more soci…

I have read that Revelations was actually written about the end of the Western Roman Empire. If that is true, then it would make sense that you would see similarities in Revelations with the collapse of Western society.

It was hearing my grandmother trash on my grandfather after his death that finally convinced me that women don't care about men. She would just call him a horrible man because he wanted to die.(He was in extreme amounts of pain, cancer spread throughout his whole body.) Women are just parasites, and can never be anything else.

When I'm playing a game I'm playing by somebody else's script. It's not my story, it's not even my character, I'm just making minor decisions in a world I didn't create in any way. It's kind of a submissive pastime I think. Definitely not creative. I think this is the reason I love indie building games, like minecraft(well was indie...), Terraria, Starbound, 7 Days to Die, etc. They allow a lot of creativity in a gamified universe.

They aren't equal. His statistic is fatherless homes vs non-fatherless homes. While yours is men to women. Apple to oranges. Try again. Edit: If you had compared imprisoned men to non-imprisoned men, then you would have had a comparable statistic.

Some who have just "taken the redpill" tend to have hatred. We in the community call that "redpill rage". Most of us who have been studying and living this life for a while, just end up feeling indifferent towards women. There also seems to be a smaller subset that no matter what, will probably hate women to the day they die. This is just them, and has nothing to do with MGTOW.

Though she did not consider herself a philosopher, she had a significant influence on both feminist existentialism and feminist theory. Given that Feminism seems to be completely irrational, can a "philosopher" that only philosophized about feminism even be considered a Philosopher?

Yes, I did describe it as support. Because all news is good news when it comes to publicity. And yet seemingly through much different methods. Clinton got the nomination through good old fashion in-party, backroom dealing. But as far as I can tell Trump did the same through shear cult of personality and as one thing I read, "A legendary use of confirmation bais"(loosely quoted). Did he have any real party support? Although he did have very strong media support, enough so that some might call foul, but I haven't really dug into it. Trump honestly didn't interest me enough, still doesn't …

Wierd, for me "winning" a video game was more about finishing the story for me. I never got any feelings of validation, then again, I started gaming at an extremely young age and I don't really remember if I got any ego validation. I might have just won so many games over the intervening years, that I really just don't get the same sense anymore. All I am left with is the intellectual(and slightly emotional) journey of the story of the game.

Fair enough, although I am not a big fan of these one line methods. I think they reduce readability. But that's just a personal peeve. I would probably do at least. public bool isHypergamyPossible(Person male){ return male.Rich;} I just prefer my "inputs" and "outputs" on separate lines.

See, this is why the female OS is such a freakin mess. That is the stupidest most over bloated code. A quick simplification of the logic came out with: // WomynOS - Release 2016.7 public bool isHypergamyPossible(Person male) { if (male.Rich) { return true; } return false; } Of course you lose the "throw new HamsterException("Male is not rich or attractive. I would say it was the art work of the show that really got to me. It really took the 80s feel(at times I had to remind myself this was made recently), but the mixing of the 80s art and style with the more modern cinematic elements was almost flawless. I especially loved the intro, I was dragged straight into nostalgia land. (Bias: Born in the 80s, so lots of nostalgia.)

in this "disappearing Romeo" act. I will have to remember that phrase. I have had tons of buddies over the years do this even for basic girlfriends. I imagine its like a guy who has travelled the desert without water finding an oasis, and they just guzzle water for minutes. This is what I imagine for GF's but the time scale is much longer. I find this to be karma turned back around on women. The first "feminists" were also teetotalers. They were the ones who pushed for prohibition because they didn't want their husbands to drink anymore. Those husbands probably drank because of poor life/work balances. Fast forward to today, women are now more likely than men to be alcoholics. Karma is a bitch.

I bet what will end up happening, is that the dudes will realize that they got a raw deal for no real benefit and will either demand it gets reversed or just find another bar. Once the men are gone, the women will have little reason for being there as they want male validation. Bar goes out of business. There is a very good business reason for having the restrooms gender segregated. edit. P.S. It will also keep the piss stink off your bar, as drunk dudes without a restroom will probably just rel…
/r/MGTOW10/06/16 05:07 PM

Wait, so a restroom that used to serve 2 or 3(maybe more) now only services one person at a time. So, women, seeing that men were not utilizing their restroom as much and they were having to wait in line. Demanded to be able to use the men's restroom. Now there are less total stalls and they probably have to wait in line longer. I seems like this should count as a good example of the Prisoner's Dilemma.

Obesity is calculated by dividing a person’s weight by their height to produce a number called the body mass index , or BMI. My only problem with the stats given in this article is that they are based on BMI. So a bodybuilder could be considered obese by these standards. So if we take into account Mens' greater propensity for being muscular. Its entirely possible that the true number of obese men is actually lower than the 35%. While I can't imagine that its nearly as true for the females.

I think its just part of this whole, "everything is a social construct" mentality. But I think this really comes down to a very old debate between biology and Tabula Rasa. These "social construct" arguers are basically modern day Tubulians. I know for me, I have always thought it was a wonderous mixture between the two that makes such an amazingly diverse world. Sadly, some people seem to think that they can force the world to behave to their whims and fancies.

I would like to point out that according to that article, the MAOA genes are on the X chromosome. It can be a little hard to find specific strains sometimes. I tend to look more a the sativa/indica balance. For me, I tend to like 70sativa/30indica. I would suggest trying pure sativa and pure indica strains. Most people prefer one or the other. Quick and dirty, sativa gives a head high, indica gives a body high. For me, Indica tends to make me drowsy and gives me the munchies. Sativa drives my creative tendancies up to 11. That said, everyone should try a well grown Maui Wowie at least once i…

I personally think that there is a huge difference between putting your best foot forward and completely changing your personality. I think most males(unless they are some sort of PUA type) just dress nicer, might use better manners, but still be largely the same person. My experience with women though, is that they COMPLETELY change their personality to suit the man that they are with.

Keep Chivalry Alive Probably one of the biggest complaints about our modern dating culture is that men are not interested anymore in doing those little chivalry acts to show their care for women. Small gestures like walking the girl to the taxi, opening the door for her, opening the restaurant door for her, calling her after getting home to ensure she is fine or texting her to thank her for the night could earn you some massive points in the dating game. I am going to guess that his beliefs lay somewhere in the middle where feminism and MGTOW do cross-sect. Which would probably put him square in the egalitarian section. Kind of like me, MGTOW with egalitarian leanings. Like I agree women should have their freedom. And they should use it to fuck off, cause I also have mine, from them.

Humans are designed to thrive on adversity and competition. Now here I have to disagree. Not all human's thrive on adversity and competition. Some of us are wired differently. Some of us just like working with others to build something. I am one of these people. I am confused by the competative spirit that other exhibit, always have been. I have played competative game, won some, lost some, never had any attachment to the outcome. Would always get confused why someone would get emotional about t…

I thankfully have worked with women who weren't afraid to get dirty or do some heavy lifting. I worked at a nursery as a delivery truck driver. I mostly delivered trees, pine, other conifers, but largely crape mertles. Anyways, almost every day there would be deliveries from our feeder farms. Now while the women couldn't lift as much as the men, they were there fighting for plants to carry. It was almost a competition. But these women were just as hypergamous, we cattered to the rich and wealthy…

Seems like a typical tradconjob. Shaming both feminists and MRAs/PUAs. It also seems to be pro-marriage(tacitly). Its ultimate message seems to be that women and men should be able to get along. Meh. I have taken my Journey to Ixtlan, and the plantation just looks alien to me now.

I am not even sure what the comparison is supposed to be. I mean, the article of clothing in question would have to be of a completely different design for either scenario. The question specifies pants, which at least for most of human history, have only had two "legs". So, ultimately it seems as if the questioner confused themselves with their own question.

Here's where it gets ridiculous. She kept telling the girls (but not the boys, see) that she had a doctor boyfriend who was a talented brain surgeon in a different city. Oddly enough, nobody ever saw a picture of him. One girl got the guy's name and looked him up - couldn't find anything. And the funniest thing for me: She had a picture of the guy saved as the background to her phone - a toned super buff dude with a six pack (but the head/face was cut off, so you only saw the hot bod). The problem with stating that the robots devalue human relationships, is that it doesn't take into account and devaluation that occured before the robots were made. I assert, women already devalued human relationships by devaluing themselves as useful partners.

Yeah, I guess I wan't very clear. What I meant to say is that a system with problems. Windows NT, although a very old system by today's standards, was a very solid and well performing OS. NT 6 was probably the pinacle of the NT systems. Sadly, at least in my humble opinion, NT suffers from the same problem that all windows systems suffer from. Lack of modularity. Modularity is a great trick for making a system more repairable in the long term. Because instead of creating one large "blackbox", yo…

Those of us who study systems know that you can tinker and ducttape a failing system to keep it running for a long time. But at some point you will be forced to really repair it. And the only way to really repair it is to tear it down, and build from scratch.(Although sometimes you can salvage pieces of the old system.)

Although the female mind probably isn't capable of understanding the concept, what you are looking for is a process called reciprocity. This means that if he does something nice for you, you do something equally nice for him. That's it, no tricks, no strategies. Just treat him as nice as I am sure he treats you. And no, you deserve NOTHING. That's all I am going to give you, now get out and never come back.

Sometimes I wonder if it was the very trait of women that made Siddhartha have such a dim view of woman's capacity to achieve enlightenment.
/r/MGTOW18/12/15 07:12 PM

Its actually one of the most common threads of Siddhartha's story. It also is one of the most important parts of the story. Because it tells us that such religious practices aren't useful to the aquisition of wisdom and enlightenment.

Random thought I actually find it interesting on a psycho-linguistic level, that she should choose "do" rather than the more common "have". To say that we had sex, or we have sex, is to take possession of sex, like its something that can be possessed. While the do sex, makes it more of an action.

I actually came VERY close to being in this situation. My girlfriend broke up with me, started sleeping with another dude, and she was found pregnant a few weeks later. They have just about the same red pill knowledge as the guys on here. Read some of their posts. But they can't make the jump to sexual or emotional independence. Its not really, its generally a solo journey, but since its difficult to do so in normal life people join things like monasteries. And since monasterial life is fairly communal, people come to the slightly erronious conclusion that Buddhism in itself is collectivistic.

I would suggest actually studying the philosophy that Gautama Siddhartha actually taught. As well as the lifetime of Siddhartha, he was actually oneof the original MGTOW. He had a wife and a son that he left at the age of 30 to discover what makes people suffer. This is the sort of journey that he invites every man to walk and discover for himself. If people use Buddhism to control, then they totally missed the point of Buddhism. But one thing that you have said is very true. The West(and specif…

I thought I would throw my cap into this. For me it was a general evolution from the time I was 9 and had my first experience with girls. It didn't end well, and it pretty much set the tone for any future interactions with women. That is to say they never got any better. Now that isn't to say that I wasn't of a certain personality type that gravitates to solodom anyways. So at the end of the day I would say that it really depends on how you end up coming at it. For you it could be either way, I …

What I find absolutely astounding about the whole thing is that MGTOWs are basically neutral in the current gender wars. We just want to be left out of the whole damn thing, and yet for some fucked up reason, they want to try to drag us into it. If I take everything that you have said at face value(I have to since I have no reason not to, yet.) I am still not sure you really understand what really happens in this place. Men usually come here initially because they were hurt by a woman.(Not all cases, but I feel extremely comfortable in saying the vast majority.) These men are usually showing up in one of two types, "redpill rage"(think of it as the anger phase of the stages of grief), or the ones who were already beaten, figured out how…

I actually think at leastfor boy(can't speak to women) that having many different male influences is important to a young boy's development. I think a lot of the problems of the last few decades (or so) is caused by men growing up with too few voices to pull from. Imagine that not long ago men were raised in villages, they got to see how many men went to work. They got to see the solutions to the problems that all of those men encountered. They got to see what worked and what didn't. But being a…
