Beat me to it, hehe. Whenever I see this kind of interaction, I'm always confused. The first person says something insulting, so other people respond with similar insults back. Then the first person gets all offended, saying something like, "Why you gotta be insulting?" or "Why you getting personal?" So then I'm sitting there confused. I've learned that pointing has different...connotations I guess is the closest term. Where I grew up, just pointing at someone when you talk isn't a big deal, just used to make a point. Whereas people elsewhere find it an incredibly offensive/aggravating/belittling kind of thing.

Yes, you are wrong about the white knights, and here is why. In most cases the white knight doesn't just defend m'lady, he attacks the dude in the altercation. And chances are, there isn't just one white knight, there are several. So the fight goes from 1 dude protecting himself from 1 crazy chick, to 1 dude protecting himself from several white knights. If those white knights feel so strongly about protecting m'lady, they should have jumped in to stop the fight before she started taking damage …
