Thanks for the clarification on P values, seems I reversed it. As I understand it from my science courses on the subject with a sample size this small this would only qualify as a pilot study, which is grounds for a more in depth study but not conclusive on its own at all. What P < .001 means (especially the normal criteria is .01 or .05) there is a 1/1000 chance of a test actually showing what was observed. Least if I'm remembering my classes right. It reduces risk for males, increases risk for females, and is overall an ineffective treatment. They're Africans we're advocating this for, so they think it makes them immune. I can argue that the test is accurate based on the fact that any open wound from a surgical procedure is going to cause fatality in some percentage of patients. I have empathy as I've said. Things being eaten is entirely normal and you're never going to make nature not have to kill off trillions of creatures to facilitate evolution. Just ultimately doesn't matter. But humane treatment is better.

I realize animal suffering takes place. I dispute your claim that it means anything. As I said animal suffering as a concept wouldn't exist without us. Without us this entire planet would go by in a relative blink of an eye.
