I'm getting the same vibe from her comments lmao

This is a great question. You're absolutely correct that ideally your mindset should be in the right place so that you're naturally not needy. Otherwise you'll have to keep checking yourself and eventually neediness will slip. But I've definitely gotten into a needy mindset unconsciously where I've blurted out needy things without realizing it. I cringe when I think about the needy things I've said. Ask yourself, "Is this text driven by fear or fun?" Typically needy behavior is driven by fear, a…

Lol damn dude your head is not in a good place right now. You have to get your headspace right before you can even worry about girls. Otherwise you'll just give off bad vibes when you approach, which will lead to rejection, which will spiral you even further down. The issue here is that your "self-improvement" is revolving around your belief that you are not good enough. You're lifting and dieting not for your own fulfillment, but to fulfill what you think others want from you. You have to refra…

Gotcha, so not shirtless pics, but pics that obviously say, "Damn this guy's got a sick body."

Thanks! And thanks for the quality post, this is very inspiring. How much did you weigh before you started cutting? I'm trying to decide when to start my cut.

Did you post a shirtless pic too? Just wondering how your tinder profile was set up. I'm inspired to follow this path after reading all this.

What were your experiences with taller girls? Did they know about your height before meeting up with you? I'm also 5'6" and I tend to shy away from taller girls on tinder.

5'6" dude here. I have had some success with women, but some of my shorter friends have had a lot more success than me. I definitely empathize with you because being short is a clear disadvantage for dating. That being said, here are my dating tips for you based on my experience as well as what I've noticed with my shorter friends: Accept your height. It won't change, and focusing on something that won't change is not only ineffective, but also unhealthy. Additionally, your insecurities will hur…

I've noticed the exact same thing. I connect better with people and have better conversations when I have the energy and emotion behind it. When I try to be interesting, I've had a harder time connecting with people since I'm in my head and watching what I say.

Congrats dude! Another 5'6" dude checking in. Love the detail you put into this. Out of curiosity, what makes you think posture made a bigger difference than muscles? In my experience, I did best with women when I was muscular. I definitely get what you mean by being more relaxed because she's not super attractive. Keep working on yourself so that you can behave the same way with more attractive women. I've definitely fucked up a couple of opportunities with attractive women because I got needy …

Then the multitude of books and articles I've read by dating experts are also "absolutely wrong". Not saying guys don't care about personality. I'm saying looks are guys' primary trigger for attraction. For women, that primary trigger is dominant, assertive, and confident behavior. I've read about tall handsome dudes that attract women initially, but that attractiveness faded because of their low confidence.

The less hard truth is that looks matter less to women compared to guys. Behavior is #1, so if you can pull off confidence and playfulness, it makes up for anything you lack in the looks department. But ideally you'd also dress well, groom yourself, and stay fit to give yourself the best chances.

I think it's weird to get her number just to text her. But getting her number with the intention of taking her out and having a fun time is more natural. Keep doing what you're doing at the gym. Wait a bit, and then next time you guys get flirty or you guys are vibing, ask her if she wants to grab a coffee, drink, whatever. Something casual on a later date and outside the gym. If she turns you down, don't sweat it, and move on to the next one. There'll always be another one.

I can vouch for this. Talking on the phone has helped me build rapport before meeting girls, making things much easier when I did meet them. Also for me, it helped me be a better conversationalist since you have to focus in on what they're saying. On the phone, I don't have to worry about eye contact, how I look, etc. so it's helped me become a better listener.

Become the best-looking and most confident 5'2" dude you can be. I'm 5'6", but my shorter friends are dating some GORGEOUS women. Why? They live a lifestyle they love, and they're confident in who they are. Behavior is the biggest point of attraction for women, so confidence will help you the most, and insecurities will hurt you the most. If you feel you don't deserve to be with an attractive woman, then you need to take a step back and become an attractive man. And you become an attractive man …

1) When you vibe with a girl, it just means it's easy to talk to her, easy to make her laugh, and easy to have fun with her. Good vibing is essentially effortless. Vibing makes it easy to escalate and establish a connection. 2) I'd bet that if an attractive dude made an effort, she'd go for it. Unless she really isn't looking for someone. 3) Looks matter. But lucky for us, women are more attracted to behavior than looks. So definitely put in the effort to look good, but even more important is be…

The answer is easy, but it's tough to do. Stop being desperate. I was in the exact same situation as you a year ago. Girl was into me, but I was pretty needy, and when she stopped having feelings for me, I got even more desperate. I legit couldn't get her out of my mind. I had a hard time sleeping. I woke up with anxiety attacks at times. It's not a fun place to be. I know that right now you want to do anything you can to get with her. But this is the wrong path. Trust me. I've gone down this pa…

In my experience, talking to other girls of the same quality as my "#1" or of better quality has helped me take her off the pedestal. It's great that you have awareness of your oneitis. But you should also be aware that you can't really control your thoughts. Saying "don't think about her" is gonna ultimately lead you to think about her. For my oneitis, no contact helped me the best. It's more difficult since she works with you, so limiting exposure to her is tougher. Try to have more exposure t…

Focus more on your fun instead of wondering if she finds you fun. If you're having fun, you'll give off fun vibes without even trying. This takes practice though, especially with women you find attractive since we tend to be more worried about what they think of us. Just remember this: playfulness. Playfulness is the best thing that's helped my game, hands down. And if she doesn't think your fun is fun? Fuck it, you wouldn't have had a good time with her anyway. Last thing, let this shitty feeli…

He's not. From experience, if you build enough rapport and spike enough attraction, you can definitely get past kissing on the first date.

I got needy vibes from that last paragraph. I wouldn't have called the following day especially since she didn't text back. Calibrating your investment to hers is very important, especially in the early stages of dating. Even if she's interested initially, a needy vibe can turn her off real quick. I hooked up with a girl once, gave off needy vibes as she left, and boom I got ghosted a couple days later. That being said, the more attracted she is to you, the more "mistakes" you can make with your…

Exactly!! The cliche in movies and TV definitely contributes to the confusion in this situation. Glad I'm not the only one who went through this. Oh well, live and learn. I'll make sure to calibrate my affection next time.

Also curious about this because it just happened to me too. Got too affectionate after hooking up and then got ghosted shortly after

Yeah, it happened to me about a year ago. It's going to take time before it gets better. I won't lie, it's gonna hurt. No matter how much you try to just suck it up, it's gonna hurt. I remember seeing the "it's just gonna take time" advice before and not believing it at first. But day by day, I promise you, it will get better.. under one condition: you have to keep moving forward. Don't contact her and block her on social media. Whenever you catch yourself dwelling on it, take a deep breath and …

It's difficult to think and guess if a girl is actually showing signals or if she's just being friendly. Honestly, the only way to figure out if she's into you is to make a move and see how she reacts. Escalate and then calibrate every step of the way based on her reaction. As for the boyfriend thing, it's up to you if you still want to make a move or not if she seems interested. For me personally, if it looks like a serious relationship, then I don't care if she's attracted to me. I'm not makin…

Always escalate and calibrate. Dial it back since she left you on read. She might have gotten bored at the lake, or she just doesn't think you're attractive enough, who knows. I've vibed with girls before and ended up getting ghosted the next time I reached out to them. It happens. With more experience, you'll find girls that will put in the effort to hang out with you. And then you'll realize you don't wanna bother with the flakey ones.

She left me on read even though I'm not needy You made a whole post about why she left you on read. Even if you don't show neediness through text, whatever's on the inside is going to show eventually. You have to nip neediness in the bud before it takes a toll on your emotional well-being and before it repels her. Speaking from experience here. She's busy, she's enjoying life. You should do the same. Go focus on other things for a while. Things are out of balance right now since your well-being …

Well put, but I'd also add that it means being secure enough in your value and not just your game. It's knowing that who you are is awesome, so you can attract awesome girls as a result.

Definitely agree with this comment. If you talk as if whatever you're saying is super interesting, the energy you give off will lure people in. Try to consciously become interested in whatever you're saying, and you'll naturally give off more energy. On the flip side, becoming interested in whatever the other person is saying will allow you to both actively listen and give more enthusiastic responses in return.

Similar story to me. Also got a case of oneitis. If you're confident that the new and improved you isn't wimpy or clingy, I would hit her up again. However, neediness will always shine through so if your oneitis is bad, it's not going to work out. If you don't think you can have outcome independence with this girl, I wouldn't go for it. But if you can honestly say you won't mind getting rejected and you can easily move on if she does reject you, then go for it.
